Hi John, Yes - I was winging about 10 out of the last 12 days. Prone foil in the am, wing foil in the afternoon or vice versa. Absolutely amazing. I was focused on winging so didn't kite this trip. We have tried behind the boat and it's fun. However - the push really isn't comparable to the ocean swell so only has modest benefit for working on the pop. Wake foiling does get you ready however to manage the wave once you're up. Cheers, Tim

Hi Tenemax - thanks for checking out the video. Partly correct - partly not. For behind the boat, assuming you're at a performant level (intermediate +), it's all about stiffness. The stiffer the board, the better the power transfer. All things considered, that is the same for prone but for prone you need the buoyancy to get up, behind the boat you don't. Our favorite behind the boat is the Armstrong SKT311. This is due to size and stiffness. The all carbon construction and 8 layer stringers is (at least currently) un matched in the industry. You'll note that the SKT311 is thicker than other boards but the construction makes it worthwhile because of the stiffness it outperforms other thinner boards that don't have the same construction. Sometimes the thinness doesn't give ample stringer strength and can lead to a 'damp' feeling in comparison. If you're brand new to wake foiling, you won't be able to tell this difference until you're comfortably dropping the rope and doing 2-2 wave transfers. But once you start pumping and doing transfers you'll immediately be able to tell the difference. Feel free to email me at halflifet.5@gmail.com if you have any additional questions. I’m 200lbs. I’ve been prone foiling on a 5’0” board I got on Craigslist and it doesn’t list the volume on it. I’m looking into getting a new foil board but have no idea what volume I need. Any advice for an intermediate Foiler that’s 200lbs?

Do you still use the larger board for super mushy waves, or is the mid size good enough for everything after progressing? I'm using a 5'10" that works great, but trying a 4' I had a hard time getting forward enough to not sink the nose when starting to paddle but also not rise behind the wave once up to speed
