- A quick trip to a new spot on the River Derwent recently. Only a couple of small brownies caught but the views more than made up for it.
Been a while since I used the fly rod so it was nice to pick up a couple of fish. Any tips or suggestions that you have to make the flying fishing any easier would be appreciated!
Fishing using my @officialgreysfishing 7 foot 5 weight fly rod. Started on the dry fly but didn't have much luck even with loads of fish rising! Switched around to a couple of gold headed flies and seemed to have more joy!
Thanks for watching again and if you've been enjoying these videos please like, subscribe or leave a comment!

My dad tried to teach me when I was younger. I never had the patience for getting caught behind. Top content Pato. Keep it up big man
I hope you come back to hearts, help us in Europe next season. Top player
Du du du du du Callum Paterson my number 13 🥶
Some guy on off the ball in Scotland just gave you a plug, he was telling Tam Cowan you fish under the stadium.
Cheers for that Pato, enjoyed watching it.
The sun is out get your arse bk on the river bank. I'm missing these vids.
Lovely spot but you'll have to get over here (Utah) in the summer for some big Browns, Rainbows, Tigers and Cutties!
Good work Pato, the new camera works a treat, its difficult to get the exposure right filming with dark water and a bright sky but it seems to be handling it well.
Hi callum when fishing on dries try coming from behind then instead of fishing down to them this should result in more hook ups for you all the best 🏴
Looks peaty... Yorkshire bridge I reckon
Good vids mate
I think the garish bright shirt is putting them off 😂
Good channel pato🏴
Enjoy the vids keep up the good work 👍
The first fish on the bad cast had the most natural drift. You created a mend on accident I think that triggered that bite.
I’ll need to get on TH-cam and watch some videos haha
Nice spot that is. I'm not a fly fisherman but I've done a lot of walking down there, seen some really big trout further down towards Bakewell. (NOT the ones being fed all day in the town!)
Private club licence req!
As someone else said, casting across and up stream and retrieving line makes the fly appear much more natural. Should get more rises.
Nice one big guy HHGH
Hope you recover soon pato
Please come home to Cardiff Cal🐦💙
Be tempted to run a stick float down more affective than the fly . Double red maggot 👍🦉
Wish I could! Fly only in this stretch!
You need to do a chest cam for Mansfield
