I’m more or less where you are at and I consider it purse peace. Once I got all my holy grails, I was able to settle and be much more objective with my purchases thereafter❤
Yes totally agree Dani! I think I now have my holy grails too and the rest is gravy! The struggle is still real sometimes 😆 I am going to focus on enjoying what I have for a while❤️

I'm finally at purse peace and that feeling is real. After buying handbags for the last 15 years. My collection consist of many black bags but I do have some white, caramel, taupe, blue, green, a red bag for Chinese new year and LV monograms. I currently have 35 bags with 6 consigned / listed on eBay. During my journey, I have sold close to 30 bags that I no longer love or carry.
My collection will cover many occasions and I feel I no longer need to keep looking for my next piece to buy. It's a good feeling to have.
Earlier in my collecting years, I was drawn to logos like LV, chanel, noticeable classics but as I'm reaching my 40s, my taste and collection are more quiet, appreciating the leathers like BV and Hermés.

That shawl looks so pretty on you! Purse peace……I think it’s achievable until your lifestyle changes, and that’s where I am. My kids are grown so I don’t need to medium sized bags as much, and a lot of my bags are on the smaller size. But….now that they’re out of the house, for the most part, we’re starting to travel more….so - I “need” bags that suit travel as well as for the location that we’re going. Oh….and I’m done with selling bags too. If I’m not going to use it - it goes to my daughter. My Palm Springs mini went to her. Great video, Sharon and I hope you have a great weekend.

I like to have lots of sizes and styles. (I’m at Coach and Dooney & Bourke level lol). I carry a lot of stuff with me!!! I need my stuff!!! I downsize for trips and events so I have a wide variety. My feet are an odd size so it’s hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable. I think one reason women love purses so much is that purses always “fit”!!!!
I have lots of purses because I can’t have a closet full of shoes. 😊

I absolutely love handbags, always have since I was a little girl. My very first ‘real’ paycheck was spent on a purse.
I’ve purchased some holy grail bags only to realize they didn’t work for me.
I have 20 bags that have proven their worth to me.
I realized I do have purse peace last week. We were in Hawaii and I told myself I would buy a bag there. I went in all the high end shops and didn’t see anything I needed or was willing to spend the cash on. I ended up buying a very nice pair of LV sunglasses and I’m very good with that.

I believe I have achieved purse peace with luxury handbags and slgs in the respect that I will not buy another unless I sell what I do have to cover the entire cost of another. I also have a very casual lifestyle and I really have no need for any more. I probably don’t need the ones I have but can’t bear to part with them either! As far as contemporary bags, no I’ll never have purse peace, it’s too much fun!

That shawl is stunning! Agree with everything you said. I guess I was a “collector” then, bought bags for their aesthetics, for the history, than practicality.
I’m not in purse peace because my needs shifted. I used to not bring any luxury bags when I travel, that is until 2 yrs ago. I’m now always in the look out for a small, flat crossbody bags with a pop of color that I can put in my carryon. I recently bought an Evelyne TPM in dark pink and cannot wait to use it. I never thought of all my bags, the Chanel WOCS and the LV multipochette in canvas and empreinte got the most cost per wear. I would love to have the Chanel 19 WOC in fun color and the Filigree but the price points in preloved market is a no go for me right now.

Yes our needs def change over time so I totally get it! Do you find you still use/love the bags you bought more for collecting from the past? And Congrats on your new Evelyne bag! I have also researched the filigree in the past! (Sigh). The struggle is real sometimes but I always take it as a sign to take a pause when there’s a roadblock preventing me from purchasing a bag (whether it’s price, availability, etc). @@heartmumblr Yes, still love my “collectible” pieces to the point that I try not use it much to avoid further wear and tear. They’re vintage bags in great condition, some bought full set at a good price, so it’ll be tough replacing them. They’re my holy grail bags I lusted back in the day when I cannot afford to buy luxury items. 20+ years later, they’re now mine🥰🤣. Thank you Sharon. ❤️

Am getting there- I hope lol, i said after i get my lady dior then am good, everything else is optional lol.. but ultimately, my goal is to actually enjoy and use what i have...bags, shoes ,clothes etc. Sometimes we fall into trap of always buying the "new" but never using the old... i am guilty of that.. using one bag for several months.... while several just sits there and haven't been used in years
I feel you, completely! I’ve done another cull on my clothes (jeans) to weed out the things that don’t flatter me and declutter more which allows me to curate better. It feels good to use what we have ☺️ just need to do it more often! 😂 I may need a good long handbag buying break after my most recent purchase! I’m running outta space!
