I’m like a kid waiting on Christmas! I’m in Michigan so I only have 596 miles on the pony. In climate storage for the season. On good days I do go around the block just to keep everything lubed. I checked every box on special order except for nite and bronze package.
I love the enthusiasm! I also know the struggle with the break-in period. I’m almost at mine finally. How are you liking it so far?

Hey a local man! I'm over in Clayton. I had many mustangs in the past but currently building an F56 Mini. Lots of my buddies still have mustangs maybe we can link up some time at one of the C&Cs. Congrats on the new ride!

Close to getting one. Seeing a lot sitting on lots for 60+ days and also having $1k-$3k off MSRP. If only interest rates were lower
You’ll love it man. Ford really did a good job. Hopefully interest rates will start to come down here soon.
@@TheGearLotUnfortunately the Fed doesn't seem to be interested in lowering interest rates anytime soon. These increases were suppose to help lower inflation. I call it a swing and a miss because the only thing it accomplished was restricting people from purchasing a new or pre-owned vehicle and even a new home.
@@DWH300that is exactly the intention of high interest rates, inflation was out of control because of all the money the government gave for free during COVID, people were living way beyond their means, higher rates are meant to control the price of things, if people can’t but houses or cars then prices will correct and come down, you can now see cars under msrp and loads of cars in the lot which was not the case with the super low interest rate, loans and free money everywhere, etc.

Glad you chose the 10 speed auto. Although there are some 6 speeds that are okay, the MT82 has a very high rate of failure.

Yea lol the dark horse while almost producing no extra HP the manual transmission is much better.
I have one on order, same spec as yours, except I opted for the Space Grey interior. Nice ride!

@@TheGearLot my car has a scheduled build date for April 22. Hoping to pick it up sometime in May. Going away on vacation right around that time so I’ll be coming back to a new car fingers crossed lol

Best of luck I just ordered one: Vapor Blue, Premium, Performance Pack, Space Gray Recaro's, Mag Ride ... Take out the resonators put in an Xpipe you will be good 👍
Sounds like a sick spec! They’re so much fun. I actually installed an H pipe on it last week and it sounds awesome! Really woke you up the car and breathes better. Also seems like I gained some low end torque. Hope to post a video on it here soon.

Let me help you out, apply your FordPass points and order from Ford Performance the X- pipe. I did this at 45 miles. Out of pocket was about $21.00 …. That’s roughly the tax including installation at dealership and warranty .Sound is fantastic and definitely a horsepower increase. It has a higher Indy sound sense those pony’s like RPM’S. I own S650 shadow black with same interior you have. I also installed an OSC oil catch can. I’ve had mine since August. Ordered in April when the order banks opened. Have fun , let me know how it goes I’ll watch for posts!
Thank you for the advice. I actually just received my FordPass reward points this week. I was actually curious did they have a H-pipe. That is what I was looking for. I have appointment with my dealer in a few weeks for break in oil change and was going to ask them. Did you have any video of your exhaust setup? Also congratulations on your S650!
No they never added the H-pipe,second hand word of mouth was they had better results with X-pipe with what they wanted in cylinder evacuation, not that the H-pipe doesn’t perform well, I was swayed by the FordPass points. But it boils down to $ and what sound and the performance you’re looking for. Checkout sites that have done comparison videos.
I do prefer H-pipe sound, but you’re right the Ford performance points do sound enticing. I’ll look into it. Thanks!
You can totally drive it in rainy conditions, I daily drove my 2018 GT in rain several times without any issue at all, just don’t get silly with the go fast pedal and you will be fine.
Yes you are right! I’ve learned now that it actually is not bad at all to drive in the rain. Like you said just don’t go crazy. Driven a few times now. Including a longer distance.
Comparing a Mustang GT to a larger SUV is really like comparing night and day. The Mustang can perform in a straight line or handle a track day. Not what most SUVs are known for with their weight and high ride height. The Mustang is more than just transportation. It's a Sports car that fun to drive. You mentioned adding the blind spot mirrors but then mentioned your Stang has blind spot monitoring. The blind spot monitoring should notify you of any vehicles beside you but out of sight with the warning light in the mirror plus a beeping signal when you use your turn signal when a vehicles is in your blind spot. I recommend maybe research your S650 Mustang GT more regarding it's features while driving it more to realize how different snd special it is in both performance and handling compared to your previous owned SUV. Thanks for your comment and watching the video! Just wanted to give a little context to some of the things I said in the video regarding your comments. I 100% agree with you, the Mustang is a sports car that is fun to drive. It has been a blast so far and I have really enjoyed it. I feel like everyone should get to experience driving a sports car at least once in their life. The comparison regarding the SUV is just more to give feedback on driving the two and coming from an SUV to a sports car. I'm sure there are some people similar to me who haven't had a sports car before and will be making the switch. The Mustang is not a luxury vehicle, which I understand. However, I do think some features that are on luxury vehicles would be nice if the Mustang had them. Some are not hard to implement. But again just my opinion from having the two. Yes, you are correct, regarding the blind spot monitoring and it does work fine on the Mustang. When I made this video, this was day 2 (not even 24 hours) of me having it. I've had previous vehicles that have had them, and I love the feature. My other vehicle has larger mirrors with blind spot monitoring as well. I am used to driving that vehicle. I feel like the Mustang mirrors are a tad bit small, and the addition of the blind spot mirrors has just helped me feel more comfortable and provides even more visibility in addition to the blind spot indicator. Still do have much to learn about the performance capabilities of the Mustang and how they react in different modes, but having a blast learning and driving this thing! What am I looking at monthly payment wise bro? Looking into a used GT for the lower payments
That varies many ways, depends on your credit, mileage, location, down payment, features, etc. I’m looking to getting a used s550 and where I live for a gt premium with 20k miles goes for around 45k
Yes as @k.bobcar7567 mentioned, there are many factors that go into that. Down payment, interest rate, loan term, and how you spec the car. I think a very base GT with no options start right about 42 - 43k. I do think dealers are starting to offer below MSRP on them so you could probably get a few thousand off. Then depends on your interest rate. So just estimate atleast 500+ per month (but again it’s based on many factors)
For amount financing have at least 2k to put down so u don't get denied..if you can't get pre approved by your own bank Ford is 5.9 percent if your credit score is above 720 ..kinda looking at least 600/month at that rate..
I’m in VA about to get 24 GT, I’ve seen some new base GT priced around 39-41k here

I would say it’s not practical for long term use. However I think for grown adults that are not too tall, it is okay for a short ride, maybe 1-2 hours max. Wouldn’t probably wanna be back there longer than that. In this video:

Beautiful car stuck between this and the 3.0 Supra
Thank you! I’m loving the Mustang and the v8! The Supra is nice as well, super reliable as well. I know they can just be a little hard to find or atleast in my area there’s not a lot of supras for sale.
I have a Camaro. But, I’m considering trading it in for a Mustang. Which I would spec out almost identical to yours except for a manual transmission. I really like the red seats with the vapor blue metallic exterior. Sigh. Decisions.
Go for it brother! I’m loving it. I appreciate the comment on the red interior with vapor blue. I got so much flac from people I knew when I ordered it, and it saying wouldn’t go together. But it pairs together nicely.
How long did it take to come ?
@FalconExcavating For me, it was about 2.5 months. I ordered at the end of November and took delivery the second week of February.

You got the premium, with the Nite Pony package....WITHOUT THE PERFORMACE PACKAGE? QUE?!?
Yeah, the performance pack would’ve been another 5k. I won’t be tracking this car, just something to have some fun. Contemplating what performance upgrades I will do in future. At this time, I didn’t think spending the extra money for PP was worth it for me.

One piece of advice. Don’t mod your car man. Not worth it. Maybe cold air intakes. But, I wouldn’t mess with anything else.
Appreciate the advice. I have already put an h pipe on it, which is really great. I posted a video on it. Love the way the Mustang sounds now. I do have some cosmetic upgrades on the way 👀 but nothing else performance wise at the moment. Time will tell, I love it driving it the way it is now too.

Yikes. The driver's seat bolsters are already worn out with only 36 miles on it??? Ford just isn't worth it anymore. Too bad.
Could have dealership look at it when I go in for break in oil change. I still think the interior is nice for what it is and a nice upgrade from s550.

Yeah, if you stay into lower to mid price range band, I think it is great for what you get. Definitely a much needed upgrade over the s550 interior IMO. Of course when you get into 70k range, it is 100% not luxury car interior territory but its not terrible.
I'm in Australia and i was quoted $96,000 AUD for a new 2024 GT 5.0 fastback auto with Magnaride and Blackpack.We dont get all the options that are available on US spec models.We get ripped in Australia on price for upper end imported cars.After watching a fair number of reviews on here it seems to be hit and miss when it comes to build quality.
@@ESP351 yeah whew quite expensive. You are right. I’ve seen on some FB groups people have actually not taken delivery of their vehicles due to some build quality issues. Then I’ve seen some in person that are better than mine (which I don’t think is that bad).
