This was just the video I was looking for! I was rubbish at defense but after this video I actually got way better. I have to admit that my alliance helped me a lot get better at defending and I knew about 50% about the defense topic now with this video I am at 100%. I had defended at 14:30 with full ranged soldiers because you get around 500% combat strength so one ranged defender is stronger than an melee attacker
Using only one type of defenders is also easier to calculate because there are no official informations about combat calculation with oth types of attackers in the same wave
100% agreed. the 70% slits add up. even with 43% bombs. full slits is better

As a note: evacuating and fire casting is what got me in trouble with MISC.

I remember that i was Attacked in all kingdoms With 1.7 k soldiers And had only 4k of total defences The first one landed when i was offline .. my 2k died then more were There So i Defended them And my casualties were - 400 I defended on the front of course With a Very high tool Gone

why does everyone inc ggs always fail to explain the minimum loss requirement for the hospital "only wounded and ready to fight again" mechanic....??? it doesnt always kick in :)

Okay, chiming in here, your middle defense wouldn't have worked without the combat bonus and the defensive HoL. Generally, it is not recommended to hold center during an attack like the one in fire. That's how you make a lot of men die. If there hadn't been coin troops, would have also wrecked your center defense. I am not sure how splitting tools worked, since it generally doesn't in the center, but if it works, it works. Good defense either way.

AIN'T there some beginner guides for this game? I'm a newbie, i don't get 10% of what the guy is saying.
See you recommend against coin troops as you are a ruby buyer. I am not a ruby buyer and have yet been able to beat players who are. Its not so much the troops its how experienced you are at attacking or defending. Though I will say troop quality can be very useful when in the hands of an experienced player.
Lol I've never bought ruby defenders. They can be earned in-game.
as I have a metric ass ton of soldiers on my account, about 25k of them are coin attack troops for attacking npc towers and participating at samurai and nomad invasions ,so sending one or two attacks with coin troops isn't that much of an oddity
you don't really expect them to do much at all , maybe inflict some damage or make them split troops when defending if you have other more serious attacks on the way
plus you don't really lose much, 2 coin attacks are like 6k troops, you will have them back by tomorrow just by recruiting others overnight
also, sometimes you just happen to have a lot of 50-300 stacks of different troop types from different events that are just in the way, or maybe extra troops that you can't hold overnight, why not send them in an attack just to get rid of them, doesn't really matter if it does much damage
but don't take what I said very serious, I'm not a warrior like player, many months may pass until I attack another player:)))))
