As much as we joke about black being about grief and necromancy, it’s also full of hope, persistence, and tenacity. Some of my favorite black flavor texts: “Without Locthwain’s persistence, the realm would stagnate and die.” “When you have the chance, take it. Laugh, Sing, Dance. Don’t allow the night to end.” “When nothing remains, everything is equally possible” “The Lunar Paean is upon us. Let us turn to our ancestors for guidance, and look to our children for hope.”
My favorite mono black character is Drana, Liberator of Malakir. She embodies persistence as well as the drive to do what's necessary to free her people from the eldrazi. It's like she's using the selfish aspects of black to save her whole community
there's a venn diagram of youtuber commentary topics and 90s dave chapelle jokes. the circles are nearly separate, but I'd like to think this video is the nail holding the rings together on a separate note, I'd like to see an alternate reality where WotC nipped playstyles that cheat creatures into play. it would be an interesting meta
When I started playing MTG, I was a big Girxis player. The more I played, the more I tought, why would I play Red and Blue when Black already does the same but cooler
I started with black and then moved on to blue because I realized I love being a spiteful little shit, noping spells, fucking with your deck, and swinging with unblockables. Got through grief and landed right in bitterness. X'D
As a golgari mage I reached the stage of acceptance through knowledge of the great cycle. No life without death - no death without life. Those guys who exile my graveyard still give me depression tho'... Don't they know, I need those bodys in the ground to feed my plants and insects?
I'm in between the depression and acceptance stages and now run Sultai. I'm sure when I'm good I'll probably just go to blue and not let anyone else at the table play😂. I went from mono black to Rakdos back to black then to Grixis and then Dimir then Black before I went to Sultai. This video is hard facts
Not to be to real but ummm, my Mom died at 8. My dad died on my 18th birthday. I have clinical depression and PTSD. I have had to defend myself by using force and well... lets just say the other person wont be robbing anyone anymore. I am a Heavy black player. I also make Black and Blue decks so I have more "control" over the board. This video actually is pretty on point.
3:15 Personally? Nobody really. Who hurt innocent civilians that might lead my down a villain arc of using Black Mana as an outlet for my frustrations against war and needless bloodshed and the people who advocate for it walking away unpunished?...that might be a longer list.

Yesss

"I will not live as a slave. If you would be free, then fight alongside me."
Good villains make great heroes
Your quote is a red philosphy.
Cringe new magic players try to pretend black isnt the evil colour.
Moral subjectivity is boring, not enlightening
Coincidentally I do have a life gain / life loss deck with Judith as commander.
I call it "life is strange"
An unfortunate video title there
At least he didn't use the art for invoke prejudice bahahahahahahaha
I need this for all combinations now. Gruul next!
Love gruul! Gonna do the mono colors first but stick around I’ll do gruul as soon as I can
You like black because it reflects your mental state, I like black because funny citadel + reservoir combo, we are not the same.
Gotta run that top lmao
Shhh keep it down, I don’t want my playgroup to learn how strong citadel and reservoir is
Top till you drop

You had me at an avocado talking about magic the gathering. That is a subscribe from me.
Huzzah! It actually worked!
When I started playing MTG, I was a big Girxis player. The more I played, the more I tought, why would I play Red and Blue when Black already does the same but cooler
The true black player pipeline! Speed running to the fun evil side
"Look at my drawing so cute" v cute indeed Mr. Avocado
Thank you 🙏🏻

Average based dimir player 😎
You seem like someone who needs to watch the video on Blue Players (TLDR go to therapy plz)
Dimir is the most based blue + x color identity
I miss the other lil dude but the Avocado is perfect for the name I love it
Thanks so much! I think he is a bit of a better mascot and adds more color to the video!
Blue players hurt me mentally thats why i prefer black
Funny video! Love to see a video on all the colors.
Tregrid, God of Fright. Enough said.
Therapy should be mandatory for Tergrid players, and also for the people they play against

Golgari one of the most based color identities, like half my decks use that sweet black green craziness

Grixis is such a great color combo- the best of all 3 worlds in my opinion
I've never been so called out in my life i play butcher, dictate of erebos and grave pact... guys I'm sorry 😢
It’s ok! The first step to recovery I knowing somethings wrong…(as long as you don’t have Tergrid in there you’re safe)
#swamplife helps defend myself from those who would try to hurt me and bring back the ones I love
Imagine, you know nothing or just little about magic, you you see this videos name lol
There’s cards and mana in the thumbnail!! That should be enough right…

Is this a re-upload? I swear I saw this week's ago
I made a video of similar style on blue players about 2 weeks ago! People seem to enjoy them so there will be videos on the other colors coming soon !
As a black enjoyer: ACSHUALLY it's KRRIK not Kirk and it should sound like metal as pharexians would call him
Ah my apologies king 👑
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Im not laughing, that's just the average amount of mana I float after tapping my Coffers.
And all the rituals and sacrifice free mana etc etc! Just in time to torment me with hellfire :(
Aaah, it's magik the gathering
3:15 Personally? Nobody really. Who hurt innocent civilians that might lead my down a villain arc of using Black Mana as an outlet for my frustrations against war and needless bloodshed and the people who advocate for it walking away unpunished?...that might be a longer list.
just to make sure when you say "the mind of the average black player" you mean black mana and not black skin
I was hoping all the cards and mana symbols was enough but yeah I could have been a tad more specific xd
I like this video 📹
I like you! Ty for the comment!!
GREEN!
This guy is a blue player *fur shure*
you might wanna change that title
No way it’s perfect
You can see that it's Magic the Gathering not something else
@@crisgon9552 real genius here
Bruh.
Phrasing.
💀💀💀
That's racist
