What a disaster all around, a vast area of terrible destruction. I feel so sad knowing each wrecked building was a home, store, business, church, school. It is so terrible. I have visited in these areas many times. It is aggravating to not have electricity, but think on the people who have no home anymore. I lost electricity for 7 days when Floyd (a relatively small weak hurricane) visited my state. We just sucked it up, luckily we has a gas stove and hot water heater. It was kind of fun reading around the dinner table by candle light. Showering in the morning dark for work with candles. Cooking dinner with candles. I still keep an unnecessarily large number of candles and matches.
Thank you to all the first responders who put their lives at risk to help others. You don't know how much of us are so thankful and prayed for your safety. This is a news report from Western North and South Carolina, they really don't do the damage justice in the pictures they show. Just knowing a hurricane was on the way is not a good warning for these areas as a hurricane won't cause anything but a bit of rain generally, so it's pretty unusual to need to be prepared for flooding, let alone record breaking floods, possibly week long power and cell service outages, landslides, roads being washed away, and all the homes and belongings lost. I don't think you are. The death toll first is not finalized, and they will find a lot of bodies over the next several weeks. The initial death toll is smaller than you would have thought because of the extensive planning and warnings. It could have been so much worse, even though it is terrible enough. When they start talking about eliminating the NOAA and other forecasting governmental entities, this is the reason you don't want that to happen. They save a tremendous amount of lives..
People who get out and roam around for no other reason than to be nosy and get themselves into trouble need to be charged for pulling resources away from REAL emergencies. Emergency crews have enough on their hands...they don't have time to stop and help you because you THOUGHT you could cross moving water ...JUST to get to the other side. If you have the means... and you are not affected by this natural disaster then get out and help. Don't add to the workload!!! Prayers for all!!

May all those who lost their lives rest in peace, but my thoughts and my prayers go out to the surviving family members because the days will be tough ahead.🙏🏾❤
Cool. How is that actually helping the victims of this hurricane? That’s not going to feed them, clothe them, give them a safe place to sleep at night, remove the storm water from their homes, or even rebuild them. It’s not going to turn the power back on either. It’s not going to bring back the ones we lost. It’s not going to reduce the cost of the insurance deductibles they’ll need to pay - if the insurance companies don’t cut and run from the state to avoid paying out again. It’s not going to stop FEMA payouts taking months. This is a natural disaster (ie an “act of god”), right? So it seems pretty intentional to me. Maybe “begging for mercy” would be more appropriate. Are you actually praying without ceasing?
It boggles my mind that more people are scared of tornadoes than hurricanes. You can lose your house in both, sure, but in Hurricanes, there is a much higher odds that you are trapped in the area of the storm, due to how widespread damage is.
Might be good to mention that P. 2025 intends to close NOAA and the National Hurricane Center, so if you like flying completely blind during hurricanes, remember that come election time.
Yep, one of the stated goals of the Project 2025 document is to disband the NOAA. The same NOAA that collects the advance hurricane data on all hurricanes as they approach the US coasts. Good luck getting advance intel on hurricanes in the future without them. Maybe you red states can have your governors like DeSantis fly planes themselves through the hurricanes as they build to give you MAGA advance hurricane intel. LOL 😆

They can’t possibly provide a state and a county and a city because they are way too busy getting their little 15 seconds of fame and doing a very lousy job at that.
This is WSPA. Everyone who watches WSPA knows it's Spartanburg.
All part of the fun sleuthing... Gotta keep the news mysterious
It's WSPA TV7 here in beautiful Upstate SC. The other Upstate if you're from NY,but being our arrogant selves we always like to think we were probably the first,or original "Upstate".
Upstate of your well known youtube channel, anywhere, south carolina
Am I a dick for thinking wow the death count was so low
The media tends to over-react.
@@lisadavis9535 it’s not like these people weren’t aware there was a hurricane.

WOW Prayers Up
People who get out and roam around for no other reason than to be nosy and get themselves into trouble need to be charged for pulling resources away from REAL emergencies. Emergency crews have enough on their hands...they don't have time to stop and help you because you THOUGHT you could cross moving water ...JUST to get to the other side. If you have the means... and you are not affected by this natural disaster then get out and help. Don't add to the workload!!! Prayers for all!!
Ok commander LOL
We are still without cellular tower
That sucks
We will all have sat phones soon

There is damage everywhere and the path of the hurricane was large.
And you think the cellphone towers damaged should already be repaired???

Jesus Christ this rain is terrible, I live in Virginia, and the basement in our home (I live and sleep down there) was just POURING water from the walls and basement door, causing our basement to flood with about 8-9 inches of water. Safe to say we had the fire department come and help, spent $200 on a new sump pump for the drain since ours broke at the worst possible time, and now my fireplace and couch are ruined and need replacement. Hopefully this kind of stuff didn’t happen so bad to you guys, stay safe out there y’all 🖤🙏🏼
Praise Jesus!

Although a lot of these people know the hurricane is coming, my heart still goes out to the people who didn’t leave their home. I can imagine that’s not an easy decision to make whether to stay or go.
I’m sure they felt like they could just ride it out and often times they do. May all those who lost their lives rest in peace, but my thoughts and my prayers go out to the surviving family members because the days will be tough ahead.🙏🏾❤
1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.
Word salad nonsense that helped no one
LOL 😆
That is not trumps policy
Fear mongering something that has nothing to do with Trump on a video about people dying is next level low
Kamala Harris Sucks!
@girlwithpearls98 Yes it is, just as sure as he has no plans now and his name appears over 300 times in that book...it is his plan, he will have no problem implementing. No one can deny. No matter how much he lies.
My power is out at my house and i got so many tress that fell down
That is some storm. Lots of damage to things all replaceable. Hopeful that the loss of any lives stays lowest. Stay safe and careful.
