"Nameless Warrior" chronicles the journey of the band from its inception to the time when Miho left in 2021. It's not an easy track to play LIVE because M&M pretty much harmonized licks/solos for more than half of this 6-minute plus song, and they absolutely killed it !

Thanks for the fun reaction. This song was delivered shortly after the announcement of Miho's departure. Many fans were worried that this would be Lovebites' last song. To see them perform it now with the addition of Fami has symbolic significance.

little wonder why this is the best power metal band of 2024 and winning it by a mile. They are the kings of designing complex and epic compositions and Jedi masters of time signature dynamics.
in march 2021 miho played her last concert (the covid restricted one) with lovebites on the "Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021". on 16th of august 2021 miho left loftbites. the single "nameless warrior" great MV too) came out 16th of november 2021. fans didn´t know at that time, if and how the journey with lovebites would continue. I personally thought, that´s it. found favourite band, lost favourite band. so it is very special, that they came back stronger than before and played that song in their comeback show, which also was the first one with fami. I love this amazing song. thank you for your reaction.

the last concert of the 2021 tour was in April. Miho announced her departure on August 17, 2021
They literally can do no wrong. They are amazing live, and I was happy to see their first ever US performance at ProgPower.

Yes, you definitely need to see them live! IMO, if you can only go to one more concert ever, it needs to be LOVEBITES. Don’t even bother wearing socks or shoes because they will knock them off within 10 seconds! I agree, Fami was the perfect choice to replace Miho after she left. Not only is Fami a great bassist, but she seems to have sparked new energy into the band. They all seem more animated and overall having a blast on stage since she joined. I submitted an audition for their bass guitarist tryouts. I knew I wasn't going to get the gig - it never occured to me that they'd choose anyone other than an attractive Japanese woman - but I was always confident that I could handle Miho's basslines. I knew a third of their catalog by that point anyway. That said, having heard Fami talk about how much getting the position means to her made me happy that she got it.
I really enjoy the positive vibes and fun you 2 have with the discovery of new music. Japan has really opened eyes too a whole world of music for many,many of us. Great Reaction guys. Thank you for the enjoyment La Gringa and Jimmy. WolfPack!

This song is clearly a song of respect and farewell to Miho. So I thought they would never play it again.
And when the new LOVEBITES performed this song in this concert, fans were understanded that Miho's spirit had been passed on to Fami.
The Nameless Warrior music video came out a few month after Miho left and it could have been the last ever Lovebites' song since none of the fans knew whether the band would survive her departure. I glad you choose the live recording! I will not watch the MV because it takes me back to the dark days not knowing if my favourite band comes back. 💯❤🐺🤘🎶

This song could have kept the Titanic afloat to safe harbor! Perhaps I get that imagery from when M&M are flanking Haruna while Asami is out front with her arms stretched wide during that dramatic bridge section. Nameless Warrior shall not be overlooked as a classic, and gets better with each listen!

When you mention Fami here: This was her very first show with audience that she attended (with LOVEBITES). It's the second live video from the first KAHG DVD/Blu-ray (March 11th, 2023, that's almost 2 years ago!). Fami did so well, and she had a blast, smiling all the time!

Another earth shattering performance, the energy and stamina they have is crazy, I've no idea what the bpm of this is, but it's a lot, and it's near the end of the night, (4 more, 1 before the encore). And this is the first of two nights, WOW. For me, they are the perfect band, love everyone of them. ❤🇬🇧🤘🎤🥁🎸🎹🐺
It's hard to understand why many fans don't favor this one more, I think it's one of their best. Fast, relentless, technical complex.
"The Spirit lives on", which is one of my favorites from Judgement Day, has a similar vibe.
The music video of this is very worth watching, too, as it features a lot footage of their career so far and feels like the closing chapter with/for Miho.
It's true, for once it wasn't M+M who were the stars during this solo, but the walking bundle of positive energy, Fami. ❤🔥🤘🏻And I think it made so much sense to bring the bass into the foreground, considering that it was the last studio recording with Miho. 🙏🏻

There is a "Behind The Scenes" as bonus footage on the Blu-ray/DVD "Knockin' At Heavens Gate".
When you see it, you really can't believe Fami (who was only 20 years old at the time) - she blows
all the pressure out the window with humor, fun and joy. She lightens the mood of the whole band
and Midori laughs the most beautifully.
Since day one an incredible "5 Champions" band and Miho got to the point from the beginning "our band" 🤘
If the word EPIC was inscribed in 500 mile high letters on the Moon it wouldn't be as EPIC as any Lovebites song.
At the 10:45 mark where M&M finish their Harmonized sectin and head back with Haruna with Asami being middle front and Fami off to the side.....
It makes me feel they are paying tribute to Miho, with the song title, the 4 originals in formation, and the lights more focused on the 4. The first time seeing this video, I thought it was cool they were paying tribute to Miho as still being part of the BAND.
I am sure that wasn't the reasoning, but that is what hit me.

Yes, amazing how Fami fitted straight in seemlessly. As I have said before and I think many agree, I will never forget wonderful MIho and all she did creating and inspiring LOVEBITES, but Fami is the perfect replacement and she brings her own remarkable style to the band.

The first show of the new Lovebites tour has just finished, and Miyako has tweeted that she had some problems with her guitar so she switched to playing piano to complete some songs. Can you even imagine?
You made y heart sink a little upon reading "she had some problems"... thank God it was the guitar, not like the picking hand, or some freak injury. Stupid of me, but those things happen. I remember the story of KAMELOT bassist blowing out his knee after tripping on stage. He is like a real life viking, so he continued seated in a wheelchair... Happy nothing of the sort was up, knowing how they run around in those stilettos!

The original music video for this song came out after Miho had left the group so it really could have been their last video. Fami won the bass player contest and slotted into Lovebites quite nicely.
In the original video, the song is really fast and almost too fast at times, but its just great live. Goes to show just how good they are that they can play these songs live as good or better than the studio versions.

When the original MV was released I was still in shock because I couldn’t believe that Miho was no longer in the band. When I learned about her departure from the band I entered in some sort of denial. The band went into an indefinite hiatus with an uncertain future but I knew that they had to move on because they still had so much to offer. This is the last video Miho participated. Anyway, I really thank Miho for creating Lovebites and I wish her the best. To me, this video represents the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new era for Lovebites. You can see that at some time in this video Asami looks so emotional.

A very special song, which marked a(nother) moment of fate for the band. Just like they had on "When Destinies Align", they here turn and look in the mirror, but this time - a rear view one, on the years of promise, hope and bloom, all headed into the dusk of uncertainty. So this is a parting song - parting from their founding warrior, but also from the first epoch of LOVEBITES. For me, the most moving part is the breakdown that takes a somber turn - and on the original music video, it was accompanied by moments from the filming of above-mentioned "When Destinies Align" music video, synchronized to the words: "Will there be an end to this..?" I guess no one happier in that hall than the ladies themselves to be back! 🥲🐺
I am not that educated in composition and sound production, but I thought, since this song is for and about a bass player in a certain way, they made two clever and pertinent decisions: write the guitar solos in such a way that they are performed mainly on high strings, which separates them from the lower end in the sound picture - and hence, make the bass and drums more audible; AND crank the knobs up on the bass for this song, to make its rhythm tastily prominent! 🤘
A related thought... how can we forget the first interview by Fami upon joining LOVEBITES, where she said practicing the gallop was a challenge, as she had not done that technique previously, due to her background outside of Heavy metal... and look at our princess of smiles here, galloping into battle for full six-and-a-half minutes!❤🔥

As a power metal fan, I'd say this is a straight power metal song, and from hundreds time hearing it again and again, still my mind can not figured out how an all female band could composed this full epic power metal song.. even they're not a pure power metal band.. it's crazy.. I feel like this song is really really a kind of respect to power metal and I honored these Lovebites women..

Nobody was sure what gonna happen. So when they make announcement the band started to luke for the new bassist everyone get a big relief, nothing is finished. And Fami bring the new live to the band with her big smile, energy and happiness. Now everyone can see the difference even Miyako-san start to smile more. Yes, Akane's drumming is pure thunder, but so is HARUNA'S! 🤣🙃. Haruna as a riverdancer is funny; I'd also like to hear the sound of her in tap shoes. This song just gets better the more I hear it. It is a prime example of pure power metal, although I would say more European power metal than American. Speaking of needing a stretcher, their US shows have been in real small clubs so far. Imagine potentially being four to five feet from them the whole time. It might be comparable to standing on the sun. The Gringa might have to bring a dustpan and whisk broom to get you home. By the way, that's a cool HIM shirt. Don't know if you are aware, but Ville Valo launched a solo career now with the album Neon Noir.

Miho is a badass bassist but Fami took Lovebites to the next level with her skills
I often find that during Midori's solos, my ears are more focussed on Miyako's rhythm guitar underneath. Miyako is a more talented player than the lead guitarist in most other rock bands, and I always love her solos, but there is something special about her rhythm work.
Ado - Elf is probably something you are already working on. Anticipation!!!
Midori’s solo is longer because the first section is synth on the original, which is why there is no distinct Miyako solo. Not to be missed out, she improvises a bluesy section before walking back to the front of the stage after her and Midori’s soaring twin harmony. Remember, this is the first full performance in front of an audience for Fami. You would be surprised at the negative reception this got in fan groups when it was released as part of the best-of Xmas 2021. Many fans only heard it a second time when it came out as a live release. I’m the Donald Trump of the Wolfpack, the mr “tell it as I see it”. So it was really funny for me to see people saying how good this track was, and that it was so much better live. 90% of them were basically hearing it as a new track. You guys recognise greatness when you hear it 🙂

Oddly enough, for a long time, this was my least favourite Lovebites song. It's not that there's anything wrong with the song. It's a damn good song. It's just that it was the song they released just after Miho left and they went on hiatus after this. It felt like the end of an era and we had no idea if we'd ever see the band again. It was the sadness of losing such a favourite band that tainted this song for me and I could barely listen to it for over a year and a half. To see them back and see Fami ripping up this song at this concert healed that hurt however and I can now listen to it with fresh ears.
