Hello, my girlfriend and I are in relationship for over 4 years now. We are not married yet however, im planning to go back to my home country to get a court marriage and then sponsor her to Canadian pr. My question is how long do i have to be married for inorder to sponsor. Would it be a good option for me as we are only getting court marriage and wont be conducting any wedding function. Would it be problem if we dont organize a function and wont be able to provide function photos as a proof of relationship? Thank you.

Impossible that your boyfriend sponsored you to Canada unless you’re in a common law status or already married or as a close family like child, sibling parents or gran parents. As far as I know but of course they can send invitations for who ever. Good luck anyways
