Hey Rick! The BNSF Dash 9 isn’t sitting due to a lack of a decoder - it’s sitting due to a lack of a crew thanks to PSR budget cuts! 😉 (But the UP is collecting a storage fee!)

Not bad switching moves. the Dash 9 was big for a local but CN has done so.

i totally agree about the bell...i would have shoved the tanker & box car into the tanker facility then come back out park the box car then do my run around...then proceed into the box car facility... Just my 2 cent.. great op session.. BTW a double header op's video tomorrow.. 12 noon eastern if your interested ... thx 4 sharing.. vinny

I'll tune in if I'm not at the beach with the dog, otherwise will be sure to catch it after. --Rick

@bnsf6951 That would still require entering the industry _three_ times.
Drop the tank car one car length ahead of the runaround switch. Next, drop the setout box *by itself* in the location shown in the video. The loco enters the industry light, then ties onto the pickup box. Exit the industry, and shove the pickup box into the lumber spur as shown in the video. _Now_ execute the runaround: The loco should first tie onto the tank, and then onto the setout box, ending up *between* the two setouts. Enter the industry a 2nd time with the loco splicing the two setouts. Each setout can be spotted during this move despite the limited headroom. Once the setous are spotted, the loco can exit the industry light, couple to the pickup that was shoved into the lumber spur, and off he goes... only having entered the industry _twice_ instead of _three_ times😉

Stop and drop the tank car one car length north of the runaround switch points upon arrival (3:23). Then do everything else pretty much the same. The loco should end up _between_ the set-out box and tank after the runaround is completed. That way, *both* set-outs can be spotted on the 2nd move into the industry.

It was fun to ride along as usual. Nice weathering on that GE!! Btw, it would be really cool to see that oil pump actually pumping.

Not sure you can paint a shirt on the industry rep, now. He's become canon in the SoCal Scale Models Universe!

My horse would put me on the roof if a DASH-9 honked at him.

Nicely done! I wasn't sure the dash 9 and both cars would fit, and you mailed that one!

I think you need more GE's. Like as UP 1800 series Dash 8. That dash 9 sounded SICK! Maybe when the AC4400s comes available you can switch with one of the CEFX bluebirds? I've seen it done.
    Keep up the great work.

The industry thst you switched that looks like concrete, is that plastic or like hydro-cal? That also looks really good.

The paved part is just drywall spackle, sanded down after it dries and then painted gray with a few different shades.
