I love love LOVE when people make Spidey all lanky and scrawny. Really emphasizes how he's sooooo much stronger than he looks. And aesthetically, it just looks sick as hell!!!
The image in my head was not of a friendly Spider-Man, but of a cocky and sarcastic one. He makes dark jokes, spares no effort on criminals, and is not nice to the villains, recording all their crimes on camera and posting them on the Internet under an unknown name. Parker in this universe is not an excellent biologist, but a hacker with a golden head. He found out long ago that Oskorb is a criminal organization hiding under the guise of a charitable foundation. But instead of openly exposing them, he decided to cooperate with them in order to bring them to light with the help of hidden manipulations. This Parker was also bullied at school, but instead of accepting it and moving on with his life, he became embittered at the world and became a recluse. He moved in with Aunt May so as not to be a burden, and began to live in a cheap one-room apartment. Osborne forbade Harry from contacting Peter after he found his son high in Peter's apartment. And Gwen began to avoid him, because she stopped seeing him as the same person, kind and cheerful. Years passed. So Peter’s days would have ended in a disadvantaged area, in a small apartment with a cheap computer and marijuana, until one day Gwen, of her own free will, decided to invite him to a science exhibition, and he, out of old loving feelings, accepted this invitation. And it was there that the spider bit him. In this world there were no Uncle Ben's words about responsibility and strength, so at first he was a criminal. But one day he himself did not notice how he robbed Gwen. He was so confused that he didn't know what to do. He looked at himself and asked if he wanted to continue living like this. And the answer was obvious. He did not become a hero immediately, but gradually, step by step.

The art style and inro is reminiscent of 90's MTV adult animated shows. the sparse backgrounds and rough lines. I see it focusing on the more intense aspects of NYC and what the classic Marvel Villains would be responsible for in the current (for that time) climate; Like Kingpin pushing drugs, Chameleon shapeshifting into sex workers and drug dealers to rob people. I could easily imagine this would have been in a programming block of Aeon Flux and Beavis and Butthead around 9 or 10pm.

I'm late to the party, and I'm no artist, but this is honestly astonishing. Throughout the whole trailer, typically when Spider-man's fighting a new villian, there's a slight variation to the artstyle. Shifting from something that looks like it was drawn in MS Paint one minute to something handdrawn with pencils the next, and so on. It's never stagnant, but there's a overarching theme and inspiration behind the whole thing. It's a shame that we won't get anything like this.
