Hi Nice shooting Guys. My guess is most poeple would struggle to hit a 22" gong at 100m with open sights let alone at 600m, I have had an AG42 as part of my colletcion for over 30 years now and just love it, the accuracy of this rifle is so good, watching Eric closing the bolt does make me cringe a bit as with this rifle when the bolt holds open on last shot you should put to safe, put hand on the twin "hand holds" push forward to retreave the bolt then pull back which will make the stripper clip charging eazyer then flip safety backover and pull backon the hand holds and the bolt will go forward. Keep up the good shooting and reviews
the AG has a very good adjustable rear sight, my one is spot on at 600m just turn the dial to your range and it's good +/- elevation, acutaly it's good throught the full range (but using match ammo though)
Blade type open sights have a built-in error of about 2MoA in perfect comditions. at 600 yards that's a foot either way in aim error alone. Then there's ammo variation..... It would be interesting to see what this very fine rifle would do with a good optical sight, and some high grade ammo. The 6.5 Swede is a great calibre...used for deer hunter here (NZ) quite a bit.
Kenneth Anderson lmao they most definitely are not 5 moa rifles they are very accurate unless you have a shot out barrel. There is a reason they are the most popular milsurps in competitions
Uhh... factory standards were a minimum of a 6" 8 shot group @100yd brand new for acceptance per Army guidelines. Most were on the far end between 3.5-5moa. They were never intended to be long distance rifles, fire superiority was more important than outright accuracy. They're popular in milsurp competitions because they're a dime a dozen and collectors here in the states have a hard on for them. Even Gun Jesus himself has explained the accuracy standards on the M1. Anything 2moa and under for a Garand is exceptional, they're few and far between.
Sorry for my bad English. In my experience the PPU ammo sucks in comparison with m41 ammo. Norma jaktmatch are probably the most common ammo in 6.5x55 in Sweden.
since you were talking about scopes for the AG-42 the easiest thing(for me) was to send a question to the swedish army museum and according to their files some of the rifles(they did not have a exact number) was issued with the AGA 44 scope
if you guys had another camera at your disposal, when shooting these long range (actually any range) videos, I wouldn't mind seeing an over the shooters shoulder perspective in the corner to fully grasp the distance factor when you guys shoot. I think that would be some wild shit!
The safety does not have to be engaged when reloading the Ljungman. Engaging the safety actually doesn't do anything when the bolt is locked back after firing the last round as there is a detent pushed up by the magazine that is holding it back.
Damn nice accuracy. I’m a reservist sharpshooter in the Finnish army and using a 7.62x53R TKIV 85 rifle and a Schmidt & bender 4x36 scope I’ll hit a torso sized target at 600 meters
I really miss you guys going to shot show. you really hit all the booths not just the big ones and I feel that you really wanted to be there and see everything I hope you can make it next year.
My AG42 shoots tight groups for a while then the groups start to open up a little vertically. I'm guessing it's wood to metal fit issue and thermal expansion of the wood in the barrel channel is responsible. This is while running it at a relatively slow rate of fire.
Hey IV8888 you have done some cool (5 gun videos.....) I was wondering could you do another one on the topic of speed what are the fastest shootable firearms out there? I know one variable has to do with the shooter him or herself, but what guns have you shot over the years that seem to just take off from maybe even a quick bolt action, shotgun, revolver, semi-auto handguns and rifles.
As an amateur historian as well as Swedish. I can tell you that there were never a scoped version of ag-42b, we used the scoped version of m/96 rifle know as m/41 as our sniper/marksman rifle.
America has always had a love for .30 cal rifles. Every gun store in america has 308 or 30-06 and nearly every rifle company makes a rifle in those calibers. 6.5mm is making a run for the top though in the 6.5 creedmoor cartridge.
Terry E The Swedes and Norwegians were a century ahead of the times when they designed this cartridge . First chambered in Norwegian Krag-Jorgensen rifles in 1894 ! I know , original bullet was 160 grain round nose , but still ..... I love my two M96 Swede Mausers .
Victor Waddell wish I would have jumped on those back in the day. Sad that the milsurp market is basically down to a few Mosins and whatever the CMP dangles before us..
I just love this old guns and I have been shooting them since I was 16 years..now Iam 45...I looked at the film and I think you need to put the gunrest a bit forward about in the middel of the stock between the markings for the hand and the steel ring thant holds the upper and lower stock together. This gives a better balance in this old semi auto guns..please make a test of this..(",) All the best from Denmark
Eric,... do a vid where you bring out the Ljungman, the Egyptian Hakim the FN49 and a Garand,... and talk about the differences,,...if any between the first 2 and the rest.
I realize you guys don’t want to destroy cameras but you need to set your camera 100 yards back behind your target so you’re pretty sure it won’t get hit but keep it straight on, or keep it as close as you are now and put an AR500 plate behind the camera so if it gets hit, won’t matter...It really throws me off every video and I think it would help these videos out tremendously!!!
By positioning the camera close to the target we can see only the impact. It's better when you put the camera behind Eric because than we can see the bullet's trajectory. You already did that with some other rifle, can't remember which one, but it was better.
Hey guys, dont be afraid of the wooden bullet hack in this rifle! Mine runs flawlessly with it! I had one hang up, but it was my fault. I didnt resize the cases because i had read that the Swedish had done it already. However, it shoots great! Thanks for the content!
Joseph Stalin I spent 4 hours making a photo collage to prove a point. A No.4 is not an smle! It was never named that, nor did they share parts interchangeability. The stock is different, the barrel is different, the action is different, the magazine is different, the sights are different, the only thing that shard commonality was the buttstock AND THAT'S IT. So for the love of God which people stop calling the no.4 a smle.
Can you handle another meltdown video? Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 Pro. I would expect that the rifle would hold up pretty well but I would also like to see if the reputation of the rifle matches its price tag. I'm considering buying one in the next 3 weeks. Keep up the good work and the awesome videos.
Eric if you would can you give me a parts list for the major parts that u used on your short barrell suppressed mossin it's a verry cool gun i would like to build something close to it
Maybe take a camera up on the tower and aim it down the sights to show what the shooter actually sees. I am sure a lot of people don't realize how far 611 is. Maybe saying 6 football fields end to end is a good visual!
Gosh, there is one available Ljungman rifle in our country (Czech rep.), not that expensive for such a gun, but I'm short on money now... life sucks... sometimes :).
Yes they should do that. Also should make it clear that most of those shots that missed their gong would have hit a torso or deer vitals sized target. They are getting the equivalent of head sized target hits more often than not when the sights are hiding the target with an old milsurp rifle and mediocre ammo.
Cool video, but every 600 yard video you post still makes me ask for an m1 garand @ 600! I know you have a few garands, Eric.
That tree behind the gong has no doubt had a hard life.
Lets get the Garand out there!!
Honestly as a proud Murican it would be a close race...... if I had to place a bet I'd go with the Ljungman
@@buck19x87 I've put my AG up against a M1 700 yards and I say the AG out performs the M1
I picked up a AG-42B back in Dec. They're a sweet shooting rifle
thx guys you warm my cold Swedish heart ;)
M1 Garand should be the next gun
No 1 mk 3 lee enfield or m1 garand at 600 yards next plz
I use the Sauer 200 STR in 6.5x55 with 142gr SMK for shooting at 1300 yards + at halv mil targets. Nails it every time
Hi Nice shooting Guys.

Great video it would be awesome if you would give us a first person view with the camera a little when you shoot at long distance.
hold 2 finger close to your eye 1 finger at arms lenght and look at the rim of a car 600m away :-)
Leo Steens no lol I would say there would be at least some hold over you aim right at your target at (600m ) you won't hit nothing but dirt all day.
the AG has a very good adjustable rear sight, my one is spot on at 600m just turn the dial to your range and it's good +/- elevation, acutaly it's good throught the full range (but using match ammo though)
Leo Steens I call bull shit.
Blade type open sights have a built-in error of about 2MoA in perfect comditions. at 600 yards that's a foot either way in aim error alone. Then there's ammo variation..... Do the M1 garand you guys don't give it much love.
Brandon Simons agreed
Maybe a video on the m1d as well or if ever possible the m1c.
M1 Garand would be a crap shoot hitting the target at 600yd. They're 5moa rifles, not great for long distance shooting.
Kenneth Anderson lmao they most definitely are not 5 moa rifles they are very accurate unless you have a shot out barrel. There is a reason they are the most popular milsurps in competitions

beautiful rifles
Would love to see you guys take some different AR-10 models out to 600yds
I'd love to see a tang sighted old style Sharps stoked with black powder .45-70 from the tower.
Oh hell yeah, Quigly's rifle :P
Yugoslav M48 at 600 yards 8.0×57mm
7.92x57
Man, if fudds treat swedish guns like they treat carcanos ill buy every single one of those when i get to move to the great Americas.
Wow this is one of the coolest looking guns I’ve ever seen! We gotta get a 1st person view! God bless!
Im a simple man. I see the Ljungman,i give a like and i watch the video. Love this beast, and the Hakim.
This rifle is so beautiful.
I could literally watch you guys do this all day.
: )
Chad- "I have a solution for that"
Eric- "oh I know ya do....."
that's all I got to say about that....lol
LOVE MINE! Sweet rifles and are always a neat conversation starter at the range.
The AG-42's will never be $49.99 each, again, damn it!!!
Have you went through and read and replied to all the comments?
Seldom make a reply...
I still can't get over them hitting the f'ing stand with the martini henry. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Love these videos! We take our milsurps out and do similar stuff but our range only goes to 400yds.
Guys you need to try ammo other than PPU. I've found the PPU loads to be inconsistent in every caliber tested, so far ( 8 calibers).
Poor ammo ,have one myself love them ,you did have a perfect smiley face going on the main target ,great video !!!!
since you were talking about scopes for the AG-42 the easiest thing(for me) was to send a question to the swedish army museum and according to their files some of the rifles(they did not have a exact number) was issued with the AGA 44 scope

He was having so much fun shooting the gun he didnt even respond to chad half of the time haha! Great video guys!
I love 6.5x55, i have a 1916 Swedish mauser carbine, it's a tack driver with just peep sights
love the long range vids. keep up the videos, the gun nuts love them!
Damn nice accuracy. I’m a reservist sharpshooter in the Finnish army and using a 7.62x53R TKIV 85 rifle and a Schmidt & bender 4x36 scope I’ll hit a torso sized target at 600 meters
Nice video! Would like to see an M1 Garand at 600!
Man I love your video's
love mine! SVT-40 too but that 6.5x55 is really a awesome round!
You are right.. I am glad you did this video. Now if I could just find one. :)
What a great gun and what a great video guys!! Post more like these one!! Thanks for sharing this awesome piece of history!
I really miss you guys going to shot show. you really hit all the booths not just the big ones and I feel that you really wanted to be there and see everything I hope you can make it next year.

A GEM of a find !
Great video, love the action of duel screens.
It's about time for the disclaimer!!!! I always thought y'all were bad spotters...lol.

Milsurp please
G43/k43
Always puzzling why this cartridge isn't more popular here in the US. Flat shooting, low recoil, plenty of thump for deer any thoughts?
Terry E then they wouldn't get to make everyone go out and spend oodles of cash for 6.5 Creedmoor guns and ammo...
America has always had a love for .30 cal rifles. Every gun store in america has 308 or 30-06 and nearly every rifle company makes a rifle in those calibers. 6.5mm is making a run for the top though in the 6.5 creedmoor cartridge.

I suspect the "not invented here" aspect.
Ljungman thumb= no thumb
Love these videos, the sound rocks
Wow. I did not expect that. It looks like you guys are shooting a 10/22. Wow. Now I want one.
I just love this old guns and I have been shooting them since I was 16 years..now Iam 45...I looked at the film and I think you need to put the gunrest a bit forward about in the middel of the stock between the markings for the hand and the steel ring thant holds the upper and lower stock together. That was a lot of fun to watch ,wish I was back ome I would buy one of this but Im stuck in Germany for now.
Eric,... do a vid where you bring out the Ljungman, the Egyptian Hakim the FN49 and a Garand,... and talk about the differences,,...if any between the first 2 and the rest.
Chad went kinda savage on this one!
Great vid. Next rifles at 600:
M39
No1Mkiii*
No4Mki
There is already an m39 video at 600 yards.
Why didn't you guys use Swedish quality ammo like from Norma? I can assure you the results would have been substantially better ;)
Where did you find your rifle?
Very impressive.. I love the videos at 600 yards.
Looks like too much fun!
Gotta love that PPU ammo...greetings from Serbia. Keep up the god videos guys ;-)
I realize you guys don’t want to destroy cameras but you need to set your camera 100 yards back behind your target so you’re pretty sure it won’t get hit but keep it straight on, or keep it as close as you are now and put an AR500 plate behind the camera so if it gets hit, won’t matter...It really throws me off every video and I think it would help these videos out tremendously!!!

good shooting with that lady
Love this unique rifle!

What's better(reliable, accurate)? The Garand or this?
Just started the video and am really want to hear that train horn.
And I'm not gonna get it :/
I saw you guys once teasing with a Madsen M47 on your facebook page, will we ever get to see that one?
You need to get a No.4 or SMLE out to 600!
DireWolf a no4 is a smelly
Joseph Stalin I spent 4 hours making a photo collage to prove a point. A No.4 is not an smle! It was never named that, nor did they share parts interchangeability. The stock is different, the barrel is different, the action is different, the magazine is different, the sights are different, the only thing that shard commonality was the buttstock AND THAT'S IT. can you shoot the Ruger precision rimfire from the tower!?
I am looking forward to seeing the match ammo with the Swedish rifles at 600m. You guys can shoot!
Vackert gevär. Om vi bara hade det här 300 år sedan.
LOVE MILSURP VIDS! So good!
Nice, piece of art...!!!
Eric if you would can you give me a parts list for the major parts that u used on your short barrell suppressed mossin it's a verry cool gun i would like to build something close to it
I know these guns are very sensitive to ammo. PPU seems to not damage it?
You guys always say we have no idea what your view if through the sights. Maybe show us that? Just a suggestion.
that first shot was lucky af
Maybe take a camera up on the tower and aim it down the sights to show what the shooter actually sees.
I am sure a lot of people don't realize how far 611 is. Maybe saying 6 football fields end to end is a good visual!
It is great gun to have a fun with
Gosh, there is one available Ljungman rifle in our country (Czech rep.), not that expensive for such a gun, but I'm short on money now... life sucks... sometimes :).
When are we going to get 6.5creedmoor pt 2? Or maybe creedmoor vs grendle? Please
How do you keep the shells for reload? This rifle through shells so far forward
Nice rifle dude like be these types of videos. Keep up the good work
Shoot a 1903 at 600 yards
Get some Norma match ammo
do a review on the Rasheed carbine sometime
If you want people to know do a point of aim with a rifle in place so they will understand at that distance a target is very small
Yes they should do that. Also should make it clear that most of those shots that missed their gong would have hit a torso or deer vitals sized target. They are getting the equivalent of head sized target hits more often than not when the sights are hiding the target with an old milsurp rifle and mediocre ammo.
Ar15a4 with iron sights at 600 yards please
Holy shit. Gopher...first shot.
Could you potentially do another 600 yard video with the AR15, but use cheap steal case ammo? Or just test different ammo at that range?
Awyis! Greetings from Sweden!
Ammo ammo ammo! If you really want to see what that rifle can do, get some Lapua, like the 139g Scenar.
reppin the fleece!
