I am thinking of purchasing one of these machines.... but I was wondering if your bamboo strip have to be perfectly straight?... can it have a slight curve to it?
Like most rods you need to do a good job with your node preparation and get the nodes clean and straight. Those “sweeps” you get between the nodes, if gentle, are no problem. Your strips do not need to be dead straight.
Hello, I am making a fishing rod in Korea. Your video has been a lot of reference for me. I'm going to make the same thing as your machine after watching this video. But where I am, you can't get the bits installed on your machine. Let me know how I can get your beat.
Yes, no problem, I have run .300" strips with no problem. A friend built a Payne taper 12' two handed rod with ease on the machine. That is the largest project I have done.
This is amazing

The cutter is a custom cutter, you will need to find someone in Korea to make the 60 degree cutter or modify a commercial cutter
