If this is dry British humor, you nailed it.
If you're actually serious, have your medication dosage increased.
@3:22 applys to many TH-cam commenters.. 🥴
You might be onto something there
WTF are you guys doing????
Wasting our time. Two boring Brits insulting the greatest comedian ever. I only stuck around long enough to type this response.
They're paranoid perverts.
I’ve never gotten bored to death before watching a George Carlin video….. is this satire.
@@stevestarscream5182 what's satire?
@@TheJokeClinic you know acting like pretentious pricks to make fun of those sorts of people
@@stevestarscream5182
They are being completely serious.
It's just so awful isn't it?😢
The real tradegy is that Carlin never got to use this feedback. Imagine how far he could have gone if he'd had this kind of mentoring
Wtf did i just see?
Tedium. Absolute tedium.
George Carlin will always be my spirit animal. He didn't just tell jokes, he told the unfiltered truth. Some people can't handle the truth. This is why pretty much all of his stuff is still relevant today. Absolute GOAT.
"Actually I had an audience which were all paid by me. 50 - 100 Pounds per Person"
Sounds like a great business model for a Stand-Up Comedian 🤣
@@TheAxel65 you have to spend money to make money! That's not a saying for nothing
I'm only here watching because I got paid. As you can see, these two are still going strong, so it's obviously a viable business strategy.
The fact that you took Georges figurative "plant" in the literal audience and put a literal plant as figurative "audience" on the table. Says alot I tink 🤔
@@SixTough Great spot SixTough! There are no accidents in comedy
I was confused by the lack of snacks being eaten in this video. After 10 minutes i was even thinking, "should I be eating a battenberg?"
It was very distracting. Anyway, best of luck to George.
George famously was a voracious snacker, and so we decided to go on a hunger strike in his honour. Hope that makes sense
You do realize the "cynical, angry old man" was just part of his stage persona, and one of the things that made him so endearing and part of his charm, right?
221 subs LMFAO
I thought this was an excellent explanation of George Carlin's comedy styling.
However, I was a little confused when you said there was a "plant in the audience". I was expecting some kind of fern, or maybe a ficus. Because when you put greenery in your house it always brightens the mood, so it should do the same at a comedy show, right? Anyway, after researching a few hours, I realized you meant "a person, placed in an audience, whose rehearsed or prepared reactions, comments, etc., appear spontaneous to the rest of the audience".
Maybe you could do a video that explains all your fancy comedy lingo? Keep up the great work!
@@TerryMatula Thanks Terry, that is indeed a common miscontruism, but we're glad you got there in the end. Our 12 Rules of Standup Comedy video does go into more detail about jargon, lingo and other g words. Thanks
George Carlin didn't give a shit about what others said
They are reacting to Carlin as if they could affect his future actions. They do know he's been dead for quite some time, right? Also, by the time he had made this video, *EVERYBODY* knew who he was. *Nobody* went to a Carlin show unaware. Well, maybe one or two went "to see what he was about". But, I don't really think that. I say it as a CYA.
Half way in and, nope. Bye.
That's a shame because the second half addresses many of your concerns.
We'll be critiquing Bill Hicks next week so keep an eye out for that!
@@TheJokeClinic can't wait to see if you can manage to create something even worse.
I see what you guys are doing, but, unfortunately for you, nobody else appears to. I think you've genuinely got something here, the chemistry between you is great and comes across even better in the shorts you've created. However, as i mentioned before, nobody else is reading this correctly. It could benefit you guys to perhaps make it a LITTLE bit more obvious. I'm not talking a great deal of change, just enough to make it slightly more apparent what you're doing. More readable to the slightly less perceptive and maybe slower viewers. It wouldn't take much, and could possibly help to push you guys out there. Anyway, I really enjoy what you're doing. Right up my street, keep it up. The acting is genuinely fantastic and has gone completely unnoticed because of said quality. I expect improvised completely, too. Brilliant!
@@idrinkmilk282 thank you so much
I agree. They could definitely be in danger of coming across as 2 bitter old men. One solution springs to nind - I see that they are a double act, so maybe the one who isn't talking could hold up some sort of visual clue for the viewers to let them know when they are making a joke. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - basically a post-it note and a marker pen would do the trick. Maybe colour coded to indicate joke type? Just a thought.
@@alexnelson8536 maybe we would also need a card to hold up when we are presenting brilliant insights, as that seems to be lost on a lot of people
You guys are the worst.
Bad choice to try to decipher...it is a real man
Well said
You guys are being paranoid. George was popular enough not to pay someone for the patterns in the hall. About nipples on metal, which are rivets, it's generally worth keeping quiet, this is already a real perversion) Google what is industrial style (hand-face)
There's no doubt that he made more money as he got popular, which would have made it even easier to pay for audience plants. It's simply good business. He truly was a master of the craft.
