Absolutely special adventure, Ken. To boldly go where no others do, To explore, meet the locals, talk to them, try to learn their culture is truly amazing. It's always interesting to follow you to this rural area. I enjoyed watching this type of video, Ken. Thanks !!!
Another fantastic vlog Ken. I just love the way you just explore and without hesitation try and communicate with the Thai people and make the most of the limited attractions available by reveling in the nature of the place There's other vloggers getting around Isan right now stressing about what each Province will provide to fill their content without mentioning names and they could learn from viewing what you do and take it on board. You've got it sorted being relaxed and entertaining while, as you put it, taking us to where other farang don't venture. That would be what is most appealing about your work compared to others even though their work is also very good. Your substantial number of subscribers clearly reflects that. Well done mate :)
Many years ago I visited the less travelled Isan area. I have always been into traveling the less traveled roads. Very interesting, lovely people and excellent food. They have their own local specialities.
Loved this excellent day out with you. Local village shops have died out in the UK as they are so expensive. My husbands village had no shop, would have to drive 7 miles to buy milk! Cathy and Kevs x
Hi Ken 👋🏻 another relaxing ride around the village , stunning view of the sunset 👏🏻 too bad that the boat ride at the lotus pond was closed and will be opened next day from 6-11am , probably that's the best time to see the flower. So many wild monkeys 😅 how lovely the one carrying the baby monkey so cute 🤣 yeay Ken sometimes you don't have to plan searching for view point , just randomly explore..who knows you might find something better and beautiful spot , enjoy Ken 👍🥰
I love your videos as they show that travel is about the journey, not the destination. Thank you for showing a part of Thailand I will probably never see!
Off we go into the remote & rural villages again.....Exploring the vast countryside, the buffalo, the monkeys... Well, life doesn't always end up the way we expected... Challenges of being a content creators..... as always, Stay safe, be vigilant, ride safely.... Happy exploring ..
Hi Ken. Im a new sub. Although watching your videos through my telivision. I finnaly joined on my phone there i can ring the bell. Love your demeanor and vidoes. Take Care
Hey just met ya up at the top of the 3 Whales Rock 🪨 🐋 Subscribed and checking out your Isaan videos for sure. Nice to meet ya ken and best of luck with the videos and travels 🇺🇲🤠🙏
Also Ken , boat ride only open in the morning to see the red lotus flowers which only are open in the morning . Remember the whisky drinking local body told you that. Take care
Hope you make it Khon Kaen. I recommend spending a night at the zoo at the bungalows next to the giraffes. It’s spectacular. 🙂 The city is also very nice, the White tempel is my beautiful, also Nam phong national park and the damn is very beautiful.
That buffalo's name is "ทานตะวันThan Ta Wan" which means sunflower. And if you come across a market or a small mall,7-11 there are shops, everything is 20 baht. There will be a phone lock and handlebars for sale. Come and install it yourself or have a motorcycle repair shop install it, some shops may install it for free. It should help a lot in your journey.😁😁🙏🙏
The Lotus lake is actually worth a visit. When I visited that there were mostly Thai tourists.

Isan is really interesting travelling through, and it is brilliant with living up there is not completely inflated like in the south and tourist cities (or what used to be tourist cities) There are though a few challenges with traveling in Isan... The english is very limited by many there, and there are alot of poor people there, but in general they are very friendly
Thousands upon thousands of tourists travel to every part of Thailand, you have to go to the lake very early in the morning becuase that is when the lotus flowers are open,in the afternoon when it gets hot the flowers close.I think the crop was wheat or possibly barley for making beer, the farmer was in a tractor.
Wow, there are lots of monkeys in that park. Must be careful as they can be aggressive. I guess those fields along the journey are rice/paddy fields, not corn fields. Wonderful ending of this vlog with such a stunning sunset. Great work, Ken 👍👍👏🙌
i know isaan is a rural area but i never expect that this is how amazing actually isaan is ... 🙀 wooooow 🌄 love the vibes of province life & a gang of monkeys in 1 area man that was cool 👌✨ that baby monkey reminds me of this viral video of baby monkey riding on a pig here on yt 😹 🐖🐒 looking forward for more isaan adventures ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I am sure the village you are in is Kumpawappi my friend lives there hr lives on the other side of the bridge you were on the village is called Ban don gau the spelling may not be right
A wise man (my grandfather) once told me..."wherever you go, there you are." I'm not exactly sure what he meant but it seems appropriate for your journey.
Very interesting to see a buffalo farm, I am just thinking whether it is possible that the women thought you asked for her name, and she let you know her name (instead of the buffalo 's name). 🤣 I am not Thai, maybe a Thai could comment on this. At the monkey park, you were surrounded by so many monkeys, and a few look quite unfriendly to you. Great that you end the video with an awesome sunset by the lake.
Yes, you 're right. In a former time, most farmers have their own buffaloes (instead of tractors like nowadays) and sometimes they have a name for some buffaloes they love most - only short name such as Dam, Thuy etc.
Ken I love your videos I haved lived in Bangkok for a year and now in Chiang Rai for a year. I am an American from NYC Watch out for the monkeys One 20kg monster charged at me in Ko Chang near Lonely Beach And also be on the watch for snakes more I see you walk around and am worried about you There is a reason Thai’s are fastidious about their shoes They don’t want snakes in them 555
The countryside shooting in your video showed very dry side of Udonthani .. actually udon countryside is extremely green, i have no idea where did you go .. but that's was difinitly not intersting area

Awesome sunset view at random fishing village. Enjoy it as always.
It is certainly different from your Northern Thailand trips, indeed a very rural province. Keep on going my friend, stay safe.

Stunning sunset.
Beautiful scenery 😍
I liked when you tried to open the cooler door from the wrong side and the guy had to tell you
Nice video.
Everyone goes to Bangkok to Phukiet, and Isan is a nice, cheap and quiet place to relax here?

Don't forget to make a clip of taking a bus tour across the province as well, it's fun.
Open world video game irl ;) Looking forward to when you go to Thailand/Laos. Very nice small city indeed ^^

Hi!..ken , are you referring "padi field"?
Thousands upon thousands of tourists travel to every part of Thailand, you have to go to the lake very early in the morning becuase that is when the lotus flowers are open,in the afternoon when it gets hot the flowers close.I think the crop was wheat or possibly barley for making beer, the farmer was in a tractor.
I saw you say Can I see? a lot in rural Thailand ,you should say “Kor doo dai mai krub” hope it help.
มา เที่ยวบึงกาฬด้วยน่ะ
Will go there 😊
Look quite similar to paddy field in Malaysia
I think Ken was using a German word for what’s growing on the field , meaning grain/barley/wheat
Du bist echt ein netter Kerl! Ich habe das Video richtig genossen :-)
Wow, there are lots of monkeys in that park. Must be careful as they can be aggressive. I guess those fields along the journey are rice/paddy fields, not corn fields. Wonderful ending of this vlog with such a stunning sunset. Great work, Ken 👍👍👏🙌
So far I've never been attacked by monkeys, lets hope it doesn't happen anytime soon 😄 thanks 🙌
@@KenAbroad good to hear that. Yeah, let's hope there won't be any mishap with monkeys later 🙏🤞🙌😎
The lotus flowers are more visible early morning?
That's what they meant I think yeah
i know isaan is a rural area but i never expect that

Super rural here yeah 💪😄
I will do this next year... but with a car, and my Thai wife.

Definitely 🙌😊
And when you go to fix your motorbike, they fix it right away while you wait and it costs very little!

At the monkey park, you were surrounded by so many monkeys, and a few look quite unfriendly to you. Great that you end the video with an awesome sunset by the lake.
What I said actually also means "what's your name?" I didn't know how to ask for the buffalo's name in Thai😄
Yes, you 're right.
In a former time, most farmers have their own buffaloes (instead of tractors
like nowadays) and sometimes they have a name for some buffaloes they love most - only short name such as Dam, Thuy etc.
Maybe they are "wheat" fields to grow grain for bread?
In the Norteast
of Thailand they are rice grown
When u say khun ju aray it means whats your name, not from the buffalo.. he said his name..

The buffalo and cows are tied down with rope and brought in at night.
