I'm SHOCKED! Most of these type of "possessed crewman" episodes were ridiculously horrible... but this one was GREAT! Especially with the rejuvenation process - it looks like it was filmed yesterday. I actually enjoyed this!
Don't know what you do, but the picture looks great..the show takes on a new look, even if you have seen it before. The actors look younger. You can almost make out Sharkey's toupee.
Thanks, it's a labor of love. Voyage fans suffered with terrible prints and faded color for decades, even on networks like the Sci-Fi Channel (now SyFy). Sharkey's toupee... well, that's what HDTV does.🤣
Can you imagine the crew hearing over the intercom ' Admiral we got the Captain trapped in the missile room' and then ' I don't want him harmed used your tranquilliser guns' 😳
The first seasonwas classic adventure. Then it got goofier. By 1968 lobster man was there. But it was always fun . I hope you get to hd the first season too...
Yes, it was fun, though The Lobster Man did tax my love of the show. The first season is available for a fee through Amazon Prime, and it is not allowed here. Sorry to deliver the bad news.
Not a complaint by any means I enjoyed this, this was the first episode of this show I’ve seen in at least 2 decades and I didn’t realize how crazy this show became after year 1
If you weren't a kid in the 1960s, all Irwin Allen's shows may seem ridiculous...I was a "Lost in Space" fan myself. Not sure who the target audience was, and I don't recall most of the episodes, but I'm enjoying watching them now.
Apparently Staan travelled all the way from Vulcan, through space & time to 20th century Earth, to a submarine and still had time to get his ears "bobbed". Does T'Pring know about this ? 🖖
I was wondering where I'd seen the actor Lawrence Montaigne before then I realised he'd played Decius in star trek episode 'Balance of Terror' and Stonn in 'Amok Time'.
He also appears as a Guest IMF Agent in the Classic Mission Impossible season six episode where the IMF makes a hit man played by Joe Don Baker think that he's had a heart transplant.
Well I remember that one of the original “ Star Trek” crew was: Mr. Spock played by Mr. Leonard Nimoy as the best TV & movie star after “Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea” ended. It was a very good episode of “Man Beast” in “ Voyage To The Bottom of the Sea” series .
The monster was wearing an officer's uniform and the only officer unaccounted for was the captain who has been behaving oddly. Duhhh? No one could figure out it might have been the Captain!!!!???👹👹👹👹👹🤔🤔🤔
In Man-Beast, I always find the concern shown by Nelson, Chip Morton, and the rest of the crew for their beleaguered friend and leader, Captain Crane, a touching display of their friendship.
@@TooleManTV One of David H's fave episodes, in my view ruined by the stupidly poor (unusually) shots of the claw from the Flying sub, reshoot it now!!

I've only seen 4 officers ever on the Sub. Adm, CO, XO and Doc. You shoot at the Man Beast wearing an Officer uniform who happens to be the only officer wearing a Commander cluster...and you don't know who he was. LOL.
Actually Sparks is also an officer. There were more officers shown in the first season. Apparently out of a total of 125 crew, 11 were suppose to be officers. The ratio of officers on naval ship is approx 1 to 10. Mind you, there was probably ownly a dozen of the crew ever seen, due to Budget constraints. Woman very rarely appeared in the later seasons due to this. Query, if you were being attack by a beast, would you be looking at clusters?
That Guest Star Doctor in this Episode is awfully sketchy! He looks like a Guy who would steal his Neighbor's Fiancee while said Neighbor was far away on a Ship. ;)
When I first watched TV series when I was a little kid when it came out on TV I was fascinated with it. But now that I've grown up I see just how poorly written as far as throwing safety out the window and complete lack of common sense that every single episode has. It's still a great set, and great effects for the day but the plot and the way they get there is so poorly written that I can't hardly watch them. 🙂
Happy Birthday David , (May 20th). We miss our Captain. May both you and your lovely wife Bridgett continue to RIP together. 😊❤❤😊 8:15
This is the best show ever made. We need shows like this today to excite and inspire young and old.
Love this ep. And loved David as THE FLY, with Vincent Price.
Technically he was Al Hedison when he made that movie.
help meee ! help meee !
Just a normal day on the Seaview!
I watched this as a kid in the 60’s. Hedison was my favorite. Handsome.
Thanks for uploading these great series
You're welcome!
HAIR WE GO AGAIN ANOTHER FANTASTIC ❤ EPISODE HAPPY VIEWING ALL ❤ FROM SHAUN
Great 60's character actor actor Lawrence Montaigne, "Haynes" in The Great Escape (63) and Spock's Vulcan "pon farr" rival, Stonn, in Star Trek.
and numerous Nazis in "Combat!"
Woo clear or what 2023 version I loved this show. Lots of props here were also used in lost in space.
Always great watching 😊👍
Like a cross between a Werewolf and a Gamorrean Guard! Irwin Allen was WAY imaginative.
The new diving gas mix must have contained Hyde-rogen
nice...
Am immensely enjoying watching these shows. The actors did their very best to make it work

No way I am stepping foot in a submarine after watching this. There is no escape...
Described as an 8 feet tall monster. Lols. Also, when transformed, Crane looked like Roy Wood of the band The Move.
Now that's FUNNY!

Classic werewolf story
No, more like Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde. The werewolf episodes were done the prior season with Nelson the afflicted one.
Yes but with twist
As my sister says it's only a program, you can get away with a lot of things
The monster was wearing an officer's uniform and the only officer unaccounted for was the captain who has been behaving oddly.

Nobody wanted to believe it. "Not Captain Crane!" And Nelson was not on board for a while. He's the only thinker in the crew.
@@TooleManTV I think Morton may be a thinker, but they don't give him enough lines to show it.

I just love the way they look at each other at the end, that is so sweet!🥹
He looked like Michael Jackson in "Thriller."
Yes, he does!
Crane as a werewolf has a look of Shirley Bassey in her prime!
There's no need to insult the legendary Dame Shirley Bassey by comparing her to Crane as a werewolf.
They used a claw on FS1 to save Nelson the same way. 3:17
