the reason why the mv of idol is so crazy is because they became popular in the west with “dna” the year before and people were criticizing them because they said their mvs were too much, too many colors, too many digital effects, etc. so bts were like “oh you thought that was too much? I’m about to get 10 times more annoying for you” 😂
Exactly i was about to write this comment also but you already did.😂 when i got to know about the reason of the mv being so damn crazy it was so funny how they gave a slap on those people's faces with idol
@@alifc1082It’s definitely a celebration of themselves. I read bts biography and they also explained there that the song also responded to the criticism and those who looked down on them for being idols “you can call me artist, you can call me idol, or any other word you come up with I don’t care, I’m proud of it”, the line “you can’t stop me loving myself” is definitely directed at people that doesn’t like them, I don’t think that’s spiteful, the way I see it, if they want they are allowed to own the things people criticize them with and exaggerate them in a music video and that wouldn’t make the song less about self love, is like saying “I’ll proudly gonna be myself and if you hate that, we’ll that’s your problem not mine”
I actually love IDOL, both song and MV. It's the ultimate "fuck you, I do what I want and you can mind your own business". It came out when they were becoming extremely popular, after jobless mfs kept dragging them for "losing their Korean roots", using too much green-screen and effects in their videos, using autotune stylistically, being manifactured (even tho they're the realest in that bs industry) and the list goes on. So they came out with an energetic song mixing traditional Korean elements with South-African influeces, used all the colors, green-screen and all the Korean references they could think off, danced their ass off while singing about loving oneself while ignoring judgimental people's bs opinions about them etc. They were like "us being ourselves pisses you off? here's that but dialed up to 100" - King behavior.
i think its important to know that when it comes to bts, even if a song is all flashy and energetic, it can actually have a really deep meaning that requires an explanation/background information (eg. IDOL, Go Go, and so much more). you guys should react to explanations with some songs because it gets way more deeper than what you could have imagined!

Idol has a deep meaning, it's not edited like there other MVs , BTS never use green screen in there MVs but in idol they did, and u will understand why when u watch idol explanation
When I first started listening to BTS and had a hard time distinguishing between them I watched a lot of their old interviews. Like when they were on Fallon, Kimmel, Ellen. They would introduce themselves and it helped with remembering who was who. Their Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is one of my favorites.
I love your reaction, especially long BTS videos. There were excellent song choices. I wanted to suggest that in addition to the MVs, which are great, check out the live performances of the songs, they have a different vibe and are amazing. About the Idol song, quickly speaking, it concerns acceptance, mainly because BTS has always been the target of labels and hates by envious people, and in the song they sing to make it very clear to these haters that BTS accepts themselves, they love their fans, love each other and love what they stand for.💜🇧🇷🥰
with BTS you have RANGE bc one song is nothing like the last one, and i think you kinda got the feel with these three which are so different. looking forward to more bts 💜
K-pop doesn't use Green Screen much for MV (Music Video). Almost everything is real and I think BTS is an example of that. They really go to different places and shoot or even build those destinations. I think they really do a great job with it. For example, you can play MV vs Reality. It's interesting.
love your reaction and just to let you guys know, other k-pop groups do not compare one bit to the quality Bts have, particularly their lyrics, it would be amazing if you could react to some of their b-sides which tend to hold more poetic lyrics and meanings :)
kpop usually uses a lot of CGI for their videos, BTS uses it sometimes but you’d be surprised at the amount of sets that are 100% legit. in the fake love video, the snickers scene, the floor falling down, the water bursting through the walls, the explosion and the fire were real (they did use CGI to make the fire look bigger). there are compilations of their sets bc it’s crazy, you could check it out if you’re interested 😁
Dynamite is actually a tribute to MJ. They also mention his album in the lyrics and his dance moves and they even did a stage as a shoutout to his dance moves
Live performances next? They are even better live! If you want to see a live performance with Eng subs to anything it is likely the the channel Enjoy BTS More has it. Loving your reactions 💜
Blackswan and ON are underrated songs . Intially I didn't enjoy much but it grew on me and I realized both songs are literally art. People be sleeping on it tbh🥲
Note: In IDOL, that dance where they point in the air at 35:05 is an African dance called Gawara Gawara. This video was a trip to watch 😅 lol 💜 ARMY prob already explained it 😂
It's funny how I used to really dislike dynamite and all of their English speaking songs I even told people that it was a product of them being burnt out little did I know so much forethought and meaning went into this song that you only find out inside the book! There's always something below the surface with bts also I know it's difficult to pay attention to multiple things at once but try to pay attention to the lyrics the lyrics are essential to fully understanding the dept of bts's talent and artistry! thanks for you're reaction☺️
That didn’t bother me until Jungkook(whom is my 2nd bias) pronounced tangled in the song Left and Right with Charlie Puth. I’ve come to the conclusion that the way he pronounced it is cute.💜💜💜
Almost every car drive i be in the mood for music, i be having my speakers rattling with Black Swan blasting. Lol. I had a 2hr car drive yesterday and had this song play atleast 10 times during the whole trip. And yes, i was trying to get my vocals up and on full mode.
You should watcht heir live performances: RUN BTS, Mikocosmos, Magic Shop, So What, Your Eyes Tell, Film Out, Anpanman, Wings, Born Singer, Take Two Also, their solo songs: Seven, Dreamers, My Time - JK, Haegeum, AMYGDALA, That That - Suga, Like Crazy, Set Me Free Pt.2 - Jimin, seoul, Wild Flower, Still Life, Lonely, Hectic - RM, MORE, Just Dance, = (Equal Sign) - J-Hope, Abyss, Moon, The Astronaut - Jin, Inner Child - V (live versions and MVs)
You probably didn’t realize it, but if you frequent WalMart or Sam’s Club that’s where you most likely heard these songs. They have their own music playlists and you will often hear BTS and other k-pop songs in the background.
i think you will love fire and blood sweat and tears and Jimin´s solo song set me free pt 2 because they have that up beat tempo kpop sound. but BTS does every genre so you never know what you get. they have ballads and latin pop too and the most incredible live performances. i also think Dionysus and not today will be songs you will love. but if you love the slow R&B singularity by V is really good (i call that baby making music hehe) for me their B-sides is better. just because i dont like the kpop sound in general. but these songs except for idol grew on me. i liked Idol from first listen. they have alot of hip hop songs because they were suppose to be a hip hop group but late got mixed with dance and vocals so they are something unique. and Army love that about them. most groups have a unique sound and they rarely stray far from that, but BTS dont have a trademark sound they do it all and that´s something alot of people notice. for all we know they could release a jazz song tomorrow i like the thrill of it. BTS songs also get better when you read the lyrics. these are grown up lyrics and really deep and meaningful. BTS is not just a good bop
The thing I love about them is that in their mvs all the props and things they use is all real and it’s so good! Like in fake love where you see jungkook running from the falling floor he actually did that!! Crazy
You have to learn that there is a lot of symbolism and deeper meaning in most BTS songs. Yes, they are fun and colorful but that's not it! Quite a few of their songs require explanation videos to help you understand the meaning. Their albums have themes and storylines, songs/lyrics have deeper meanings, wordplays, philosophical and psychological conceps and music videos have meanings, symbolism and a lot more to them than you see in first glance. It's okay to be a casual listener and react of course but if you planning on becoming ARMY then you will have to genuinely react by doing a deeper dive into songs and mvs 💜 Becoming ARMY is not hard and there's no test. The only condition is that you love, respect and appreciate all 7 members as humans and as artists 💜💜
We always accept new people into ARMY. Right now you are what we consider baby ARMY. That's not a bad thing. Just a term of affection for people just discovering our guys.

You should watcht heir live performances: RUN BTS, Mikocosmos, Magic Shop, So What, Your Eyes Tell, Film Out, Anpanman, Wings, Born Singer, Take Two
Also, their solo songs: Seven, Dreamers, My Time - JK, Haegeum, AMYGDALA, That That - Suga, Like Crazy, Set Me Free Pt.2 - Jimin, seoul, Wild Flower, Still Life, Lonely, Hectic - RM, MORE, Just Dance, = (Equal Sign) - J-Hope, Abyss, Moon, The Astronaut - Jin, Inner Child - V (live versions and MVs)
You probably didn’t realize it, but if you frequent WalMart or Sam’s Club that’s where you most likely heard these songs. They have their own music playlists and you will often hear BTS and other k-pop songs in the background.
ON was new when I started being Army. War of Hormones made me Army. Idol is a personal fave
i think you will love fire and blood sweat and tears and Jimin´s solo song set me free pt 2 because they have that up beat tempo kpop sound. but BTS does every genre so you never know what you get. they have ballads and latin pop too and the most incredible live performances. i also think Dionysus and not today will be songs you will love.
but if you love the slow R&B singularity by V is really good (i call that baby making music hehe) for me their B-sides is better. just because i dont like the kpop sound in general. but these songs except for idol grew on me. i liked Idol from first listen.
they have alot of hip hop songs because they were suppose to be a hip hop group but late got mixed with dance and vocals so they are something unique.
and Army love that about them.
most groups have a unique sound and they rarely stray far from that, but BTS dont have a trademark sound they do it all and that´s something alot of people notice. for all we know they could release a jazz song tomorrow i like the thrill of it.
BTS songs also get better when you read the lyrics. these are grown up lyrics and really deep and meaningful. BTS is not just a good bop
you should react to bts live performances they are on another level
I’m 47 years old and I’m Army, I love BTS 💜
The thing I love about them is that in their mvs all the props and things they use is all real and it’s so good! Like in fake love where you see jungkook running from the falling floor he actually did that!! Crazy
Dynamite was release during the pandemic to cheer up armys and the rest of the world. It’s the eir first full english song
Jimin Effect happening 🤣
They did Idol at an award show and shook the stage, startling the other kpop groups.
That one funny thing is that everyone get shock when the dance break beginning😂and btw I love ur reaction
Hahaha, so glad I’m not the only one who thinks of Staying Alive during the chorus of Dynamite. Sometimes I sing a lil mashup of the two
You can watch their live performance that soo crazyyy
yall GOTTA watch the bts cyphers. there are four and it's just the rap line--genuinely insane
I love how y’all picked like their best mv’s it was a good way to start with BTS.
Dynamite was done at the start of the pandemic, a gift to Army to cheer them up
We always accept new people into ARMY. Right now you are what we consider baby ARMY. That's not a bad thing. Just a term of affection for people just discovering our guys.
