Right in the middle of watching this movie, I realised that this trilogy explored the theme of "family" more than the fast and furious movies ever did.
Watching this movie made me retroactively angry at Thor: Love and Thunder. It demonstrated how you can have a comedic film without losing the high stakes and darkness. Easily my favorite MCU film since Endgame.
Love & Thunder was so bad in exactly the way you describe. It COULD have been really good if it hadn’t been so preoccupied with trying to be funny. Christian Bale’s Bor was completely wasted in that film. Easily the worst MCU film.

@@doug176 they also had a story to adapt (the one where past, present, and future Thor team up) that would’ve given everyone what they want! Also might’ve been able to include some kind of nod to Kang with the time travel stuff.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Mantis. I feel like her character in this movie was a step up for her. The fight scene where she grabs people and "controls" them was cool to see. Really enjoyed this movie
What really caught my attention is Nebula's character development. One of the best character development. From being a cold-blooded killer trying to impress his mad titan father, to being a caring and selfless member of gotg trying to save as many lives as possible. And she is more humane now even though she has more robotic parts. Come to think of it, she spent a lot of time with the Avengers during the blip and she has learned the ways of people on earth. I think I have a crush on Nebula
This movie gave me more feels than any other MCU movie. Sad to see the end of the trilogy, but what a way to end it. Perfect blend of bitter and sweet, leaves me both satisfied and wanting more. Easily best movie of the year for me, and I gave up watching super hero movies years ago.
I found this one of the best MCU movies. I don't need a complex villain everytime, sometimes an absolute monster that deserves pain works. The message regarding animal experiment is perfect, and I didn't mind that some flashbacks started before showing Rocket, they worked in making me feel for that quarter. Great movie and great conclusion for gotg!
Chris is actually wrong in this one. All the flashbacks had Rocket in the scene. There was a single one that had only the High Evolutionary, which made sense at the time tbh
Right? That’s exactly what I was thinking. The High Evolutionary is an absolute monster with no redeeming qualities whatsoever, which is why he’s such an effective villain. Not every villain has to be sympathetic or have a tragic past or upbringing.
I mean just becuase The Villain isn't sympathethic doesn't mean he isn't complex. I actually think he's more complex and comeplling than Thanos, because I found The High Evolutionarys ideology to be far more coherent and more integrated with his god-complex and psychology.
For me, this movie has some of the "best of" stuff in the MCU: - Most tragic moment: You know which one. - Most heartwarming moment: Drax making the prisoner kids laugh. - Funniest moment: Drax throwing the ball at the girl.
So much physical comedy in this one. My favorite bits are stuff like Mantis always landing on her head. Or the receptionist lady walking up trying to be cool and negotiate; But Gamora just shoots her in the leg, and she falls down screaming.
Yeah. It was not only primal but so very childlike in its innocence and depth of sadness and despair. It would seem he discovered weeping in that moment. That scene really got to me
He doesn’t 😢😢 i got to see it early since my dad was one of the producers but I was quite sad tbh they really tug on your heart strings.. I won’t say any more tho
@@firstlast9846 i'm certain it won't be good ....i hated how they handled him in she-hulk and the costume ,it was a led down from netflix's one. The grounded action scenes in daredevil were one of the best in any comic adapted movies or series and no way disney can recreate that.
I've seen the film and it's everything I ever want a third movie in a trilogy should be. First time I ever felt the characters were in real danger. Love how everybody gets to shine and I love how they were not afraid to show the less pleasant side to Rocket's past. I love the trilogy overall, even though I wasn't that big of a fan of the 2nd. James Gunn wasn't lying when he said the movies were secretly about Rocket
What about when Quill nearly died in the second film? Also I felt someone had to die and maybe letting Quill die at the end could have been the best move.
Am I the only person who likes animals and didn't expect it to go that dark? The moment they showed how sweet the other animals were, I knew what was coming. I actually went and warned a couple of true animal lover friends to go in ready for that. Being a New Yorker myself that sky shit killed me.
SPOILERS BELOW I've never cried while watching a movie before. But when Rocket was at death's door and talking to Lylla, I was bawling my eyes out. And for Teefs and Floor to be such happy and pure beings while still being in so much pain, broke my heart
I immediately texted all my friends to warn them. I'm usually pretty tough but animal stuff really fucks with me, and I did not expect to be hysterical in a PG-13 movie. I almost feel like it should be bumped to R, or at least have a trigger warning in the start. There were little kids in my theater!
Icemantra - top tier MCU? Yeah maybe.. I could understand that - but the people I’ve seen saying “it’s one of the best spy movies of the decade” and calling it a political thriller - have never seen a political thriller in their life.. and are gassing up a relatively mid movie
@@firstlast9846 Captain America: The First Avenger was Great and aged well. The 2nd time around watching it I liked it even more. The others I do agree with you.
I cried three times during the premiere screening at my home town. So did the strangers on either side of me, both me and those girls simultaneously wiping the tears away was wholesome.
I loved Guardians 3. They got to have their own "Endgame" movie, and it was spectacular. Especially so refreshing after the disappointment of Thor 4 and Antman 3. The MCU's gonna miss James Gunn a lot.
@@breesybird9207 You clearly don't know what you're talking about. You're probably only saying that because the movie has only just come out. You'll change your mind in a few months.
@ronaldmcdonaldjunior6616 well I question yours when you say Thor: love and thunder was “amazing”. That was bottom tier mcu, and just a shit movie in general
The actor who played the High Evolutionary was absolutely brilliant in the film. Terrifying and imposing all the way through till his demise. It truly felt like the audience was one of his small helpless prisoners during much of the movie. And when he got his, it felt similar to joffrey for me in GOT, he was a truly hate-able villain and amazing actor in this film
The movie did a great job at expectations. When rocket told them the truth and tried to escape with them we got this nice hopeful picture and then snap she dies,at that moment I truly hated the high evolutionary and enjoyed every scratch rocket gave him and then as he kills the guards and looks back we get another hit in the feels cuz his other friends died too. That beatdown at the end was quite enjoyable.
I agree. He was brilliant. I feel as if James Gunn was trying to go for a character similar to an abusive parent. A person who wants you to be something you're not. Someone who degrades you, someone who tries to make it seem you're less than what you think you are. An abusive person who constantly makes you afraid of them because of their "scary" personality just because of their screaming and cold exterior, a person who has insecurities of their own but doesn't want to admit them.
An incredible movie and a great way to wrap up the guardians saga. I personally really liked the heartwarming and darker stuff in this movie more than the comedy which is a first for me. I can also understand if some people may find some of it difficult to watch.
Bittersweet is the perfect word for the ending, with how you're sad that this wonderful team you grew to love is departing but still happy seeing them get the ending they all deserved. Great closure for these characters.
I’m still processing this movie. While I agree, it’s not perfect, it’s takes a while to find it’s groove but I loved it. It explores its characters wonderfully and I can’t wait to see it again
Was it woke in your opinion? I feel like Marvel has been prioritizing diversity/inclusion over logical plots lately and I’m curious if this movie follows that pattern in your opinion as someone who has seen it already.
@@nebx2127 no and no and finally no. The film is as independent as any other MCU film like Iron Man or Captain America. It really has no shits given about wokeness or female power which was soooo refreshing to see.
I didn’t find the movie messy at all. Was pretty much perfect for me. Definitely became my favourite MCU movie. All your gripes didn’t really affect me much when watching the movie because it felt necessary in the context of the movie. Everything was well fleshed out and the emotions they brought out was insane!
Guardians was my favorite marvel group. Since I was in high school I was obsessed with them. Playing Rocket in MVC3 helped me get into it as well. I’m disappointed that the trilogy ended. It really feels like a chapter in my life has concluded. The ending was bitter sweet and it’s reminded me of all the partings I’ve done and all the strange groups of people I’ve met from high school to my current adult life. Everyone yelling out of joy and relief was one of the most heartfelt moments I’ve experienced in a film. Thank you James Gunn for this trilogy.
The amount of times our school would play dogs days are over was enough for this movie to trigger me. This song has a deeper meaning to me now because of this film. When rocket pressed play I immediately knew the emotions to come. I know I wasn’t the only one who felt all this towards the end.
I'm in Japan, so this had an early release due to the current Golden Week holiday. I absolutely loved this, and didn't find it sloppy at all. Visually gorgeous (almost sumptuous in Imax 3D), visceral, hilarious, thrilling, earnest, heartbreaking, and narratively-rich, with an unexpected political timeliness. Great cinema. One of the most emotional and transcendent experiences I've had at a superhero movie. If I wasn't crying I was laughing, picking up my jaw from the stunning visuals, or flat-out cheering. I preferred the action to Endgame's if I'm being honest.
@@tekierohe said it’s not a “great” movie as in its not going to revitalize the MCU’s current slump. But it’s still a good film and really enjoyable with a lot of love put into it. Don’t know where you go that.
Just saw the movie and I loved it. A nice close to the trilogy. I liked how they didn’t push the Peter and Gomora love. I cried the whole time. It was a heartwarming movie with some dark elements and good jokes in between
I went in for a fun romp across the galaxies, I was not ready to cry my eyes out for a space racoon and found family and self acceptance/love. It moved me more than it should have
You guys know that feeling? that when you watch a movie and you feel so happy that you even forget that you didn't have dinner. This movie was one of those. It's like a full meal and it's definitely worth the money. And i think i like it even more than the first one.
I absolutely loved the movie. It's up there with Guardians 1, Iron Man, Winter Soldier, and No Way Home imo. I _never_ have cried in a theater, but this movie made my eyes misty, and also made me belly laugh. This is probably the neatest bow that I've ever seen tied on a trilogy.
I love that the Guardians don't feel like Super Heroes. They feel like your average group of friends that really care for each other that also just happen to be quite competent in a fight. The plots of these movies are much more character driven than most other Marvel movies, and it's always refreshing. Hell, Guardians 2 is basically 80 percent character interactions and jokes, there's next to no plot in the movie. And for that reason it really sticks out in a good way.
honestly everybody says they don’t like it but nobody’s ever given me a single valid reason why. they just don’t like it, it’s such a mystery to me bc in most ways i like it more than the first
This movie was completely phenomenal on every level. Everyone brought their A game. The acting was fantastic, it was deeply emotional, and honestly, the way they told Rocket’s backstory was so moving that it’s difficult to express without giving away spoilers. The way his backstory is depicted relies so heavily on peerless CGI that if one aspect of the visuals veered into the uncanny valley, it would’ve broken the immersion. The visuals were so flawless that it created Sarah McLachlan animal protection video flashbacks which used to be cued to her song Angel. That song isn’t played in the film, but the flashbacks hit that level of emotional punch. The film gives each character a chance to explore their emotional cores, and Drax and Mantis have a very beautiful arc that shows another side of their typically largely comedic roles. It’s a shame that the performance of some of the phase 4 MCU films has lead to a less than amazing turnout for this film, because it deserves to be seen in theaters.
I've seen too many movies recently which are devoid of new ideas. This one positively explodes with creativity and new ideas in almost every scene and doesn't stop for 2 and a half hours. It was a real example of art meeting commerce (which as a child of the 70s I grew up with) and it wobbles just shy of a masterpiece. Loved it.
That shot of Peter screaming from the trailer is perfect acting. It actually makes me cry every time. Just what must be going through Star-Lord’s head at that moment, “Not again. I can’t lose someone again.” The trailer also led me to believe he was being tortured in that scene, which would also fit the description.
James Gunn knows how to make a comic book movie. Not take a comic book and turn it into a good movie, like Nolan did with Batman, but take a comic book and make a good movie while retaining the essence of what makes comic books fun. It's a very unique ability.
This overtook the first Guardians in my opinion. There’s just so much heart and emotion in this film. I don’t think I’ve ever felt like being on this much of an emotional rollercoaster with a Marvel film since Infinity War.
This is one of the best Marvel movies. A very personal film exploring Rockets past. I was on the edge of my seat in the cinema throughout the whole movie. James Gunn killed it in this.
A great storyline. Rockets backstory was a tear jerker. One thing I didn't like was how Gamora joined the other group at the end, as if she never had a past with the Guardians, and Peter. She was a completely different Gamora, and I really missed her, and their supressed love for each other. I understand why, and how it happened, but I really missed the old Gamora. Parting ways as strangers, just didn't feel right to me. Overall a really good movie, but still liked Vol. 2 better. It may be because I'm older, and its soundtrack brought back so many childhood memories. For me its Vol 2,1,3.
But they are strangers though. The new Gamora makes it clear that she isn't the old Gamora. She can't remember her past with the guardians because there is no past with the Guardians. This isn't a case of memory loss, she's a completely different person wearing the same face. Quill wanted old Gamora back failing to accept that this person in front of him was not that. His whole arc was accepting reality and moving on.
I'm surprised. I was expecting a more positive review with this movie. And this isn't just with Chris, but other big reviewers like Jeremy Jahns, the reviews have only been so so. Which is surprising, because I've watched many reactions to this movie and they all have been very very good. People LOVE this movie. And so did I.
I watched today since this movie is out since yesterday in my country. I loved it. What a perfect trilogy. James Gunn is such a genius and the whole casts / characters look very well.

@@SoundwaveSuperior80 thanks for saying this, it motivates me to go watch the movie! I hate the wokeness of media these days. Good to hear movies are still decent sometimes. Is the sound track as good as last 2 movies??
I was absolutely blown away by GOTG 3. I was nit expecting such an emotional film. It hit all the traditional notes of a guardians movie for me and then went hard in the paint with the emotion and nailed it. It's honestly my favorite of the trilogy.
This make me excited because GoTG Vol. 2 is one of, if not my favorite, MCU films. So if other people like Vol. 3 more than the second than I’m probably going to think this is an all timer.
I'm scared that I get disappointed guardians of the galaxy 2 is by far my favorite marvel movie and the only marvel movie which made my cry so hard. So yeah I don't know.
I think if you loved Vol 2 you will love this one. I still think Vol 2 is visually the most appeasing to look at out of any MCU film and the soundtrack is my personal favorite. But as an actual movie with story and character, Vol 3 easily beats it, maybe beats the first as well
It was so emotional and touching to see those animals like that. This movie also told us to be more kind to our nature and it was heartwarming to see Rocket with his friends as those scenes showed us the beauty of what true friendship is.
As controversial of an opinion as this might be, I think Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) is not only better than the first, but’s also my second favorite MCU film after Iron Man (2008). I think it improves upon the original in (almost) every way, and yes there is a lot of comedy, but there is so much more genuine emotion and a willingness to go deeper than most any other superhero film property out right now. I didn’t even feel this way right away, but it grew on me more and more and more every time I rewatched it. I was so genuinely excited for Vol. 3, more than any other confirmed upcoming superhero flick (rivaled pretty much only by Spider-Verse), and it left me an emotional mess.
I don't get why so many people are calling this movie 'messy'. I thought it was perfectly done. Not that that means anything. I've just seen messy movies in the past (*cough* Quantamania *cough cough*) But this movie, messy? It had me in tears. And I NEVER cry in movies, damnit. Such is the strength of this particular story. Well, at least for me. To each their own, I suppose.
The comics were already very interesting lol Gunn had amazing source material to work with. He did change it around a bit, but his changes worked super well and were still rooted in love for the comic.
I feel like this film will be as good as the last two and that'll be the best we'll get from phase 5. Seeing how these movies have been "progressing" its making me feel uncomfortable for later films down the road such as Blade or Thunderbolts.
Dang Stuckmann for the W!! This guy truly gets it which is why he is my #1 critic ever, both since the newspaper days (I'm 44), and online. I thought I was the only one thinking there was just something off about this film when compared to the rest, comedy was off, story was sort of a mess, flashbacks felt they were trying too hard, and the villain was just ....weird!? If MCU is known to improvise on canonical characters, whyd they stick to High Revolutionary to just animals? Again, just a missed opportunity, they could have made him begin with animals then start on humans, that would have at least struck a chord. Instead all he mangles up is animals, cute animals at that (seri, he doesn't use elephants or lions or bears?!). I know audiences scores will be around 95% because of nostalgia, but also I really lived these films and am a huge supporter of the Star Lord character. Stuckmann reviewed this exactly like I was thinking it. It's still entertaining and has one if the best fight scenes since Avengers 1. Thank you James Gunn for giving us GOTG, we need this group.
Honestly, not exploring The High Evolutionary's past and motivations beyond the surface level feels like it was kind of the point. Yeah i get that he's not as interesting as Thanos but his cruelty and pettiness works. In fact I argue that its kind of a breath of fresh air, its nice seeing a villain thats just straight up an irredeemable monster, since most MCU villains always had a sympathetic angle.
So hyped for this, bought my tickets today and I’m ever so eagerly waiting. So excited to see some of these shots play out, especially the fight scenes
This is one of the best marvel movies out there. #1 for me. It's not what many will expect but it works so incredibly well in concluding all these characters story. I have never felt this way after a Marvel movie and while it was very hard to watch and honestly borderline traumatic for me i left the cinema feeling extremely fulfilled. It was a absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. I'm very happy I didn't skip this one ❤
I don’t think I’ve ever cried during an MCU film, teared up yes, but never a full cry. Then guarduan 3 came out and ho boy, was I crying for a good portion of the film. Well done James Gunn
Personally I think you undersell the High Evolutionary quite a bit, and I think he’s honestly one of the best MCU villains not just in recent memory, but of all time. Yes, he might not be as complex or sympathetic as certain characters like Thanos, Kang or Zemo, but at the same time I feel like he wasn’t meant to be. Since despite both of them being genocidal tyrants, the main thing that differentiates characters like Thanos and HE is that Thanos had a very warped but slightly understandable goal of removing half of all life so that those who remain can thrive and prosper. But HE on the other hand? Not only is he basically playing god by toying with other’s lives and then then tossing them aside when they don’t live up to his exceptionally high standards, but is much more abrasive and immature. Not only does he outright mock Rocket after after grieving from the loss of his friends, but is so obsessed in his single-minded pursuit to capture him that he doesn’t care who he hurts or what he has to lose to do so. Which is best represented in the scene when he refuses to retreat despite his team urging to do so, and when they turn on him he absolutely loses it and just vaporizes everyone in the room. And while we don’t see much of him in the present, the flashbacks are effectively framed in a way where we hate him so much for what he did to Rocket and the other animals that we’re entirely ready and willing for the Guardians to tear him a new one. And it’s this distinction that I feel sets him apart from a villain like Ronan in Guardians 1, who was overall very forgettable and the only weak link out of these three otherwise amazing films.
I cried like a baby watching Guardians of Galaxy Volume 2, so if this one is more emotional...pass the tissues. I can't wait to see this film & hopefully laugh more than cry this time😅❤ Thank you Chris❣

Nope. It is genuinely good. Perhaps people are also being overly critical because of MCU fatigue and are filtering their issues with the MCU through this movie.
@@eddiek8179 i would understand that criticism, but i haven’t seen anyone having issues with it. It almost feels like people wanted so bad to be positive towards an mcu film that they see it with some rose-colored glasses. But i’m glad others liked it more than me!
@@alexmorgan417 I would say the opposite is more true. Perhaps also, people are saying it's good because it IS good and not some psychological effect which you're speculating that it is. Perhaps you're the one who is reaching. Sometimes if the consensus of the many is determined, it could be something they genuinely feel and not contrived to feel like you want it to be just because you don't feel the same.
I don't care for Marvel but the guardian have a special place in my heart , there so good beyond the need of marvel connection, so I hope this movie delivers the same quality.
Agreed for the Star-Lord character development from the first narrative choice feeling somewhat like it'd been dropped, but then if we assume the reason he's been drinking is because of the "loss" of Gamora, then maybe her being around him again helps him stay removed from that? Also thought the same about them breaking their own rule with the flashbacks. That aside, I actually thought this was a *very* good movie, almost on par with the first Guardians film. Personally, this was indeed the hit that can elevate the MCU again in my eyes.
I'm glad you'd liked it I was getting a little worried there with the last couple of films. This also gives me confidence in Gunn since he's making my favorite hero Superman.
Guardians of The Galaxy is one of the major surprises for me since the Marvel movie machine erupted. I thoroughly enjoyed 1 & 2 and if this is a decent cap to it, I'll be there for it.
I agree with a lot of the points you made. James admitted he was pressured to include Adam in the film and it definitely shows, however I think it serves as a good introduction to the character. Hopefully we get more time with him for him to mature as he does in the comics. Definitely agree with the fact that there were a lot of characters being juggled, at times it felt like a bit much. I feel the movie would have benefitted from slowing down the pace a little on the more emotional scenes so the audience can catch a break since it just felt like nonstop action. The movie was really good though and 5x better than everything else Marvel has put out this year. I personally enjoyed the simplicity of having a bad guy who was just bad for the sake of it. Time that could have been wasted on trying to understand his motives was better spent on Rocket which I very much appreciated.
Since endgame. I would say there have been 3 top tier truly great movies. Spider-Man no way home, wakanda forever, and this movie. I absolutely loved this movie. I think this movie was fantastic. Adam maybe could have been used a bit more and the run time maybe was a little long, but those are the only complaints I have. But every movie has its drawbacks. The positives far outshine the negatives.
If I were to wish on anything in the movie. Is that Adam Warlock was used more, and for a Guardian to die. Every movie so far a Guardian has died, Groot Sr, Yondu, and then... Noone? It felt kinda odd.
Totally agree with your review!! I was beginning to think I was crazy. I haven't heard anything but high praise and while I did like the movie, messy was a good way to describe!

There is no way someone would think No way home was a ''better'' movie than Guardians 3 is . Its the first time since .. maybe Far from home? that I havent felt a ''theme park'' feel in a MCU film. Gunn really went for full scale character development here and gave the guardians the closure we all felt they needed. I cannot see how this film could not be in the top5 of mcu movies.
This is actually my favorite Marvel movie. Rocket Raccoon has always been my favorite Guardians of the Galaxy/Marvel character so I was really happy that this movie focused mainly on him. But beyond that this movie (as well as the other two Guardians films) had more heart and soul than pretty much every other Marvel movie.
This movie seems a bit overhyped, or perhaps I just did not get it. I loved the first two but this one was ok. To much was going on, it was messy. I had some awesome scenes but it did not flow all together. I kinda think there are too many characters. The original 5 is the best combo.
The recent game was excellent, it really got me into Guardians of the Galaxy, probably more than the two films, so it's the one Marvel franchise I'm still interested in.
I thought that maybe High Evolutionary was supposed to reflect society in a way that abuses animals. It made me think of Okja in some instances. When you see some farm or animal testing (or other forms of using animals) footage; its very similar to what was in the Guardians. So I don't think the aim was to create big time villan like Thanos, but more of a commentary and parallel to what humanity means to both our good and evil parts and perhaps even what we need to eradicate to move forward.
Because there are a lot of comments praising it, I just wanted to offer a second opinion. I felt that the screen time that was given to new CGI animal characters could have just as easily been used on established characters while still giving rocket a compelling backstory. The end product felt force and rushed and the hug at the end felt unearned and cheap. Peter’s need for a partner and reliance on alcohol at the beginning never resolved and Groot and Rocket never shared a single moment, or even a mention in his backstory. I felt that there were many opportunities to go deeper with the characters or at least give them a worthy send off but it instead felt as if they resorted to quick goodbyes, forced emotional send offs, Vin Diesel saying, “I love you guys.” and then slapped a unearned dance party at the end. And before anyone shoots me, that’s just an opinion. :)
Right in the middle of watching this movie, I realised that this trilogy explored the theme of "family" more than the fast and furious movies ever did.
Funnily enough, one actor is in both.
Only the uneducated/delusional marvel fans will defend garbage🤣💀.

What really caught my attention is Nebula's character development. One of the best character development.
Cool, lil bro
@Kenneth Ly Videography more than Thanos? Whoa now chill lol
For me, this movie has some of the "best of" stuff in the MCU:
- Most tragic moment: You know which one.

I love that the Guardians don't feel like Super Heroes. They feel like your average group of friends that really care for each other that also just happen to be quite competent in a fight. The plots of these movies are much more character driven than most other Marvel movies, and it's always refreshing.
Loved it.
So true. It was brilliantly creative. Everything just felt fresh and new, even these familiar characters had evolved in a natural way.
That shot of Peter screaming from the trailer is perfect acting. It actually makes me cry every time. Just what must be going through Star-Lord’s head at that moment, “Not again. I can’t lose someone again.” The trailer also led me to believe he was being tortured in that scene, which would also fit the description.

I agree 100% .

Not the movie the MCU deserves, but the movie the MCU needs.
No it's not
So hyped for this, bought my tickets today and I’m ever so eagerly waiting.

Finally saw the movie. The hype is real. I had a really good time watching this at the movies. Got me in the feels several times. The GOTG Trilogy has to be the best Trilogy from the MCU. Well done James Gunn.
The 1st Guardians is so fantastic even my wife loved it & she couldnt care less about the MCU. Hopefully this one can bring back the magic of the 1st one.
2nd was eh (not bad) for me but the 3rd undoubtedly gave me the same feelings if not more than the 1st
No chance its manipulative Disney’s garbage
Marvel needed this bad, it was an amazing movie. Heart, humor, and good action, but yet amazing storytelling
Not according to Chris lol
@@vankai6817 I don't think it will revitalize the MCU as well. Like I don't agree with Chris, I think the movie was amazing. But it is a finished trilogy in a world that needs something very good that won't finish anytime soon.
Im suprised this isnt getting better reviews, dailed back the humor and up the emotions. This was my best guardians movie, not as rewatchable as the first but awesome
Thank you for acknowledging some of the weaknesses of this movie, it feels like people are saying it’s perfect only because its the end of the trilogy
Seems like a good movie, but not enough to save Marvel.
Marvel just needs better screen writers and directors. If they do the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and a good Spidey 4 Marvel will be fine.
I don't care for Marvel but the guardian have a special place in my heart , there so good beyond the need of marvel connection, so I hope this movie delivers the same quality.
@@klhjklhkjlkmhjl5977 It does deliver.
@@eddiek8179 tnk god bro , I'm going to watch it today 🙏🙌
@@klhjklhkjlkmhjl5977 Great. come back and let us know your viewpoint.
Chris Pratt reviewing his own movie is crazy
I'm glad you'd liked it I was getting a little worried there with the last couple of films. This also gives me confidence in Gunn since he's making my favorite hero Superman.
James gunn:"you want to cry!?"
Audience:"yes please"
James gunn:"then ima make your fucking weep!"
Guardians of The Galaxy is one of the major surprises for me since the Marvel movie machine erupted. I thoroughly enjoyed 1 & 2 and if this is a decent cap to it, I'll be there for it.
It's more than decent - it's excellent.
can't believe you didn't mention mantis while discussing all the characters, she was one of the highlights of the film for me
I agree with a lot of the points you made.
100% agree. Those three are genuinely awesome movies, the rest (also the storming shows) has been bad, boring or very mediocre at best.
Man I'm not gonna lie this is the best marvel film since spiderman very very fun film to watch.
Excited to see what Gunn does with DC, but I’ll miss having his hand in the MCU for sure!
I haven't heard anything but high praise and while I did like the movie, messy was a good way to describe!
looking forward to this one. I had a feeling it might be tough to balance with adam and the high evolutionary but I'm still sure I will enjoy it.
I saw only the first one. Didn't think much of it. But I played the video game last year by Eidos and absolutely loved it. Probably one of best games I ever played and funniest.
Thank God this movie is good. I'm going to see it when it releases. Thanks Chris!
Without spoilers let me know how good it is, Chris made it sound like a 6.5/10 movie
@@moonknight4053 I hear a lot more positive feedbacks than the criticisms and Chris seems to be loving it. But yeah sure, i'll be back here once i've seen it
@@kirk5237 i watched it, 9/10
There is no way someone would think No way home was a ''better'' movie than Guardians 3 is .
I’ve been calling this movie GOTG3: Schrödinger's Raccoon
Hahahaha this is hilarious
This movie seems a bit overhyped, or perhaps I just did not get it. I loved the first two but this one was ok. To much was going on, it was messy. I had some awesome scenes but it did not flow all together. I kinda think there are too many characters. The original 5 is the best combo.
The recent game was excellent, it really got me into Guardians of the Galaxy, probably more than the two films, so it's the one Marvel franchise I'm still interested in.
It's was nice to see Adam warlock and cosmos in the movie. But they are not prominent characters like in the game.
