So many cool riffs! 2nd half of Hanger 18, Take No Prisoners, RIP...Polaris. A big reason why I began playing guitar. Countdown has some more chill but fun riffs with Ashes in your Mouth and This was my Life but the one song that will always be my jam is Wake Up Dead. Can't describe it but its mean and snarly. You want some killer riffs to play?? Check out a one-man band from my area who blew up locally called Insidious Decrepancy Album - The Inerrancy of Profanation You won't be disappointed🤘
The intro to Holy Wars does have some weird timing stuff that make it hard to play perfectly. The pause between the first pass of the riff and the second is very free and not on an exact count. It also does speed up just a touch on that second pass too. And then when the drums come in it noticeably speeds up and thens stay up there till the acoustic solo
Wanna hear weird timing check out atheist, they basically invented technical/ prog metal and never got the recognition for it because it's so out of the box and different. They're a little more on the desth metal side but the songwriting is unmatched.
Countdown was my first Megadeth and one of the first albums(along with the black album) that got me way into metal when I was 10-11 years old. I never once thought to critique the vocals or anything else about them because I figured any Metallica fan should like them too. What bands do you like?
You guys should try to learn some bluegrass. I think it would ge hilarious! And it would be interesting to see Dean try to accommodate his hybrid picking with banjo rolls. Just a thought. Love your channel! And the hallowed catharsis and archspire are on my Spotify every day! Cheers
It's so sad that everyone plays *those* riffs from Symphony of Destruction, when quite literally the very next riff is one of the most interesting and cool riffs in their entire catalogue.
The next riff is one of my favourites ever it’s the only megadeth riff I learnt though
tornado will forever be the highlight of my lessons back in the day
I'm right there with you Claine, Megadeth have never been my jam and people judge me for it lol
if you like the tornado vocals, you'll love all of rust in peace
True dat
I sympathize with Claire too much in this video 🤣
12:09 - the best overdub edit on this entire platform. Deceased.
Always sets a good metal mood!
When i finally learned holy wars, it was my go riff when someone was showing off in guitar center. My teenage years were fun
Level 4 should have been the spider technique. Like wake up dead.
Now , i think there should be a 4 levels of metallica riffs video. Btw the first part of hanger 18 is in metallica's call of ktulu.
Woh!! That green n black! My fave colors, that guitar looks siiiick😮
the best megadeth album is killing is my business, if it had been professionally recorded everyone would agree, thats a masterpiece
Killing is my business was always my favorite riffs. Its so fast and just fun to play.
i like it when dave mustaine sings when talking if that make sense. he just sounds like a badass narrator. thats the style like.
Claire might remember Symphony so well because it was in the first Guitar Hero. Its the only song I know by them and I too have it burned into my brain because of that game.
I actually know the song too, as probably one of the only one from them (not a fan) but I have no idea from where. I didn't play Guitar Hero...
Just made a mustache related comment while suggesting you in the Jared Dines shred collab. Now this. The sheep has been shorn.
Dave is a masterpiece writer+player+singer
Crazy man
You can tell where Dean rest his pinky on that eight string and I love it.
Can agree on the Mustaine vocals but Megadeth has one of the sickest riffs and solos in the Metal genre. 🤘
Poison was the Cure and Killing is my Business... Are my personal favourites.
Love the B flat blues chops in Tornado of Souls.
She is DEF confused my dog. Megadeth rules. Great playing from the both of you by the way. PS its ok if you dont like his vocals that much. it still rules
DUDE the full double sleeves look SICK!!!
I love that guitar in the back almost reminds me of one that I'm thinking about making
She wants to hate megadeth so much, but the power of those rffs are undeniable.
You want some killer riffs to play?? Check out a one-man band from my area who blew up locally called
Insidious Decrepancy
Album - The Inerrancy of Profanation
You won't be disappointed🤘
The chorus riff in Symphony is the best riff.
But my best friend who also loved Metallica hated Megadeth and was always picking on me for liking them. I never would have argued that Mustaine was a great singer but I still loved it. Every album felt like an instant classic masterpiece and it’s still strange to hear younger metalheads hate on them.
Just clicked on this video bc it's in my recommended, didnt even know he's in archspire dude, that's fuckin sick
You guys are fucking awesome! I once opened for Archspire and I bombed it as the drummer drinking to much. I bet he remembers haha. Go Canada!
