So Kristina just posted a bento box video and she uses rolled oats and olives! Nobody tell her those aren't fully raw. And that you can't close the boxes if you over fill them like she does. And that the sliced bananas and avocado are gonna turn brown and gross lol

Just add some lemon juice to the avocados and bananas and they wont brown nearly as quickly.

I know they've gotta make money and sponsorships are the primary money maker for TH-camrs, but this particular brand is so overdone. i gotta be super honest. i was like raw kristina, and honestly thank goodness i'm not longer a strictly raw vegan. for only a year, i was absolutely obsessed with my "health" and thought that my body was full of mucus and acid that i had to get rid of through dry fasting, water fasting, lemon juice fasting, grape juice fasting, and only eating primarily raw fruit. i was super into dr robert morse (nice man, but man i was really mislead), and bought a ton of herbs thinking that by consuming this, i will "clear up the mucus in my body, move my lymphatic system, clear up the sulfur in me". i know it sounds crazy but when you get in it, you just get suuuuuper deep in it. that being said, i also thought that the only way to stay thin was by only eating raw food...however it is NOT satisfying at ALL. i would eat TONS of salad and fruit at the end of the night and at the end of my raw vegan state, i was binging a ton on "raw chocolate" and coconut cream.
the problem with me was i just really warped my thoughts around food. food was no longer just food. it was good or bad. i convinced myself eating steamed broccoli was detrimental to my health. or mixing fruit and veggies was highly acidic for my body and therefore bad. it was nuts. i was nuts. lol.
i'm happy to say i'm just a normal person now but man...watching people like kristina or even ellen at one point makes me sad because i know what they're going through. food should just be food. the moment we start compartmentalizing it is when we develop this unhealthy relationship with food which could lead to other things.
wow sorry for the long spiel.

    • @catkin-z8g
      @catkin-z8g 6 ปีที่แล้ว

@@DoctorMommy24 ofcourse it does. most people eat chicken and normal means conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. plant based is abnormal whether you follow the `nutrition facts` diet or the fully raw one. atleast the fully raw one could be considered normal in comparison with other species of animal where as the `nutrition facts` diet conforms with the carnist diet replacing the steak with a `vegan steak`. it is vegan aswell whereas the `nutrition facts` diet contains synthetic chemicals and herbicides etc. that do not conform to the definiton of veganism as wholesome foods. if we want to encourage normality then eating chicken is the obvious outcome and we have to discourage atypical diets like `nutrition facts` as being eating disorders indicative of mental illness. there must be an imbalance in your brain chemistry talking about micrwaved broccoli and cooking tomatoes with tofu burgers and taking vitamin d supplements etc. its orthorexia obsessing over `nutrition facts` counting calories and checking labels for animal products. fully raw is just the thin edge of the wedge they want you to stick to your `nutrition facts` diet and go carnist. they obviously realise the raw foodies are not going to take much notice but you lot will be worried about the stigma of being associated with crazy raw foodists and gulp down your lab meat and roast it on hot coals and then you definitely wont be vegan by any stretch of the imagination. like really do you even believe this bs about " TONS of salad and fruit at the end of the night and i was binging a ton on "raw chocolate" and coconut cream." really like a tonne of coconut cream and still starving hey. sounds really bad it must mean cooking the chocolate and coconut would really help to make it fill you up more. all those people who survived on coconuts must have been pullying the hair out trying to make a fire to cook their coconuts. maybe its even true but that would only suggest the cooking really does cause some serious issues.

I think the issue with olives is that they are packed in brine and salty which some raw vegans take issue with. I've heard some say they can't be considered raw because of that. The thing about sodium is what a lot of people seem to get wrong, and is a very big reason why it perplexed me to see freelee and durianrider claim that you get enough salt from fruits and veggies. I also cycle. I have gone on 1-2 hour rides in the hot sun, sometimes more, and when I didn't increase sodium intake, it would do a number on me. In fact, one time I went on a ride without increasing my sodium intake enough, and I had become physically ill from it. I was in the hospital with what I thought was food poisoning, turns out my blood pressure was in the toilet. This is why it bugs me that people like freelee were telling people no, don't eat salt, salt's bad for you! Yeah, excess salt is bad for you, that's not good advice for highly active people who work out in the hot sun. SOdium is a problem when you are sedentary and live off of highly processed meals and fast food.

I don't think you should be commenting on how many calories Kristina eats, especially when you're saying that almost 2,200 calories is on the high end for a woman, and particularly when you admit to not fully knowing her height, weight, and activity level.
According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2015-2020, a woman needs to consume between 2,000 to 2,400 calories a day, depending on their activity level. I live in Australia, and when I put my information into the government run Eat for Health 'Daily energy requirements calculator', my result is 2,550 calories to maintain a weight of 75kg (165lbs). I'm 25-years-old, 5'7" (170cm) and live a sedentary lifestyle, but I go for an approx. 6.6km walk almost every day.
I know that a lot of these figures are averaged out or estimated, but they're dangerous, because I think a lot of people take them on face value without realising that they need to take numerous factors into account to understand how much energy their particular body needs.

I don't really see the problem with this day of eating? I'd probably put the soup over some roasted potatoes, personally, because I'm not a fan of having liquids for both breakfast and lunch. However, her meals seem really healthy to me. Sure, maybe she could throw some beans in there, but she's getting fats from the nuts & tahini. I don't see how you can call fresh fruits & vegetables "gross," while standing by overly processed Gardein products. :/ I normally love your content but this video seemed to really miss the mark. Criticizing her for buying an expensive kitchen appliance when so much of her time is spent developing smoothie recipes? It all seems like a reach. :/

Using Cronometer for the first time... will it tell me if I’m getting too much of a micronutrient? It looks like my vitamin a and some b vitamins are through the roof. Google is giving me very different results as to how much vitamin a is actually safe.
    Thank you!!!

What brands do you recommend for supplementation? I supplement b12 (won't be buying the one I have again) but I supplement vitamin d3 and calcium originally the my kind organic one but i think I need to swap from what I've read about them since. I know I don't need calcium but I generally don't get it on my diet so! If you have recommendations for certain brands that would help massively! So many options I find it hard to choose!

Does she still take Spirulina because I've seen nothing but negative study results and articles about it and how it can actually be harm to B12 status. Also that it is not an actual source of Vitamin B12 but Vitamin B12 analogs, aka pseudo-vitamin B12

Like if Kristian isnt sick of looking ill why make a video about her diet every two weeks? Like is it for views? Because her having 3 percent less then the recommended need for a vitamin doesn't seem like a big deal to me. She just dosent like Kristina's diet because she's against more processed foods and she needs the views tbh I hate when she makes videos like this. Always calling somebody's food gross and cold like its rude.

@@Beenhereawhile lmao. She doesn't like kristinas diet, she doesn't have a problem with kristina, but she has a problem with what kristina promotes. If you constantly fail to reach the needs of a certain nutrient ypu will become deficient and its easier to miss certain nutrients when you are eating raw. Yeah, she says some of the food sounds disgusting, thats her opinion based on the ingredients.just like hearing about a cream cheese and jelly bacon bagel sounds disgusting but some people swear its delicious. Shes against Kristina's diet because its hard to do it in a healthy way, its time consuming and a lot of people fail at it and then they're told they failed because they did something wrong.

I've watched both you and Kristina over the years now and I gotta say; between the two of you, it really looks like she has her health and lifestyle in way better shape than you do Swayze. Just because Kristina's diet isn't perfect for everybody, or you, that doesn't mean your improvement recommendations are any better, let alone welcome.
Whatever Kristina is doing seems to be working for her. She always looks bangin' and doesn't have to just stick to upper-body shots to hide her unhealthy body. Maybe when you become her nutritionist, I'll listen to how you can improve her diet.
Now that I think about it, I am pretty sure she doesn't give any fukcs about you; why are giving sooo many fukcs about her? If you take a look at yourself compared to the people you're always criticizing, you are usually the one who looks like they need the improvement.
Anyway, keep making videos on how everyone else is wrong, I'm sure without it you would actually have to get some vitamin D to make yourself feel better.

Except Xtina used to look like a stick figure, has skin that's obviously sun damaged and looks like she's in her late 30s/early 40s. Swayze doesn't make videos where her body needs to be the focal point. Her videos are intellectual and she's currently pregnant and already a mother of one. Make better arguments please.

You can be thin and actually be more unhealthy thab someone at a higher BMI. For example if you are underweight enough to have lost your period, nit be fertile if you want children, if you sun tan, don't exercise, dont weight train, don't exercise for endurance and so forth. For example xtina is thinner than most including me but I bet I can out cycle her. Maybe lift more. Run further. Thin is nice but strong is sexy and fuctional

      1. Ad Hominem. You're not refuting her arguments or even her statements, you're saying she looks worse which is an opinion.
      2. Pregnant with a kid. Motherhood changes people physically and emotionally. Maybe how she looks isn't the highest priority for her as a person.
      3. Different kind of channel. She's not pushing for a certain lifestyle or showing how 'active' and 'healthy' she is. She's more often than not making a case and backing it up with data and information about what's done wrong or could be done better, including in her own life, because growth.
      4. If you don't like this content, why are you here and more importantly why are you wasting your time commenting? Go watch what you like and live your life. Enjoy your 3lbs of raw kale per day.

Looks are a matter of taste. I personally find Swayze more attractive than Kristina. This is a bit crude, but Swayze is MILF material in my book. For fuck sake there is nothing wrong with a little extra meat on your bones. For most women that's a GOOD thing. I am one of the rare exceptions to that rule. The only reason I can get away with a lower BMI than most women is because I was born male. But even then I have no intention of becoming rail thin. I have struggled enough with my weight that I just want to get down to a healthy weight. If that makes me "overweight"; fine. I just want to no be obese anymore.
