Samantha Valens Same here. I have a weak immune system along with ornithinetranscarbamylase. If i didn't take my pills then i wouldve died a long long time ago.
By Brooke Goldner, MD (Reversing autoimmune disorders with whole food plant based diets) actual studies. I have ehlers danlos so I have flairs when I don't eat whole food plant based and they are band aids. It starts with working inside then out.
This makes me so mad, my mom has epilepsy and without her daily medicine she would have died over 20 years ago from seizures. Kristina is so ignorant and lives in her own little bubble.
Kristina is a sweet girl, but she lives in a fantasy world where her parents are loaded and she has pretty much unlimited access to all the food she wants. Only a tiny fraction of people could live the way she promoted.
***** Ive been in the jungles of Brazil all my life and have never experinced a hurricane. succ me its a good idea. It would change the world. No more pollution. No more war. All humans working together to heal each other along with the planet
succ me its very possible. There is sooo much land and sooo much food. Many of us down here are planting fruit/nut trees every day. Acres and ancres. There are groups doing the same in Africa. The tropical zone covers alot of land. Picture the continent of Asia 2-3 times. Its alot of land. Beautiful land too.
THANK YOU. As a chronic pain sufferer IN A WHEELCHAIR, nope, raw fruits are not gonna give me the use of my legs back. The vegan diet has been amazing for my digestive issues but it hasn't cured my illnesses, chronic migraines, nerve damage, fibromyalgia and endometriosis. I am still sick and yet I have been told to eat better and better as if I am freakin choosing to keep myself sick. Which is crazy. And I've been told by a vegan who yes, claimed he was a 'healer' that I didn't need my medication, the medication that stops me being permenantly housebound, but thanks 'healer'. You are my antidote and one of the reaons I transitioned to veganism slowly. You rock!
My best friend was against taking any pills, and when she was diagnosed with cancer, she refused all meds. She thought she could rid herself of it by eating a Paleo diet, and doing vitamin C iv's. She died 4 months later. She left a husband and two kids (17 and 14). She died 6 months ago, and I miss her terribly.
Kristina has clearly established an entire spiritual framework around raw foods... She never really appeals to science. That's cool, I guess -- her beliefs will resonate with similarly "spiritual" viewers. But you're right, not everyone shares the privilege that allow her to eat high quality raw foods in abundance everyday. All she needs do is mention that any whole foods plant-based diet is excellent for health, and that 100% raw is just what makes her feel best.
No joke, my sister actually got an orange tinge on her fingernails after eating pounds of carrots once. She was terrified and her doctor just laughed and told her she'd be alright.
Is Kristina powering those eight refrigerators with solar panels? I don't watch her videos, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but disregarding the way she eats, that doesn't exactly sound like a sustainable or environmentally conscious way of living if she's consuming massive amounts of electricity.
***** If she wanted to be really natural as far as an oven then she could use a sun oven of various types. There are a ton of ways to cook food without using electricity. Good luck replacing a fridge which our ancestors also did without...
Itwaz Itis I don't see it as cynical (but maybe that's because I'm also cynical). I don't know Kristina and have never met her, but there have been several occurrences of people claiming to have gone to her co-op in Houston, or meeting Kristina somewhere else, and her being extremely rude to them. I'm sure people will claim those people are lying because they're jealous of Kristina, or something, but I can definitely see that being true. She seems completely fake in her videos to me. But as you said, perhaps I'm wrong :)
OTHER I never claimed to be perfect nor did I say Kristina should be. I was just relaying that there have been many times people have said she was very rude to them. That doesn't mean she's a bad person, but I do think she appears fake in her videos, and I think she (along with most TH-camrs) put out videos that portray them how they want to be portrayed. Just because she puts out a peace and love for all message, does not mean that's how she acts in real life. Again, I'm not saying she isn't loving, as I don't know her, but I think as viewers we should be careful not to think we can accurately judge a person's character just by what they choose to share online.
i rely on meds so I survive. It is a genetically transferred disease which I cant cant be cured and requires me taking my meds as long as I am alive. I am a vegan and I take medication every single day but most of all I am HEALTHY and HAPPY
Nikki Aught how was she manipulated ? If you have a disease and need medication to stay alive that's not being manipulated it's being alive and wanting to stay alive. I need to take 15 pills a day to stay alive. I wish I didn't have to but sometimes it's the way things are. If you are already healthy you can stay healthy with a good diet though and keep off meds
Ashley Elizabeth most of these medications are actually created from herbs. They have just added certain chemicals and altered it. As a natural healer i kno for fact anything can be cured and healed through raw herbs and food. The docters "manipulate" people into buying medication after medication instead of teaching people how to completely heal themselves
...and we tend to look over how you can still have addictive and obsessive behaviour around food or use it as a distraction while being physically in perfect health. Even if the criteria of orthorexia doesn't fit (you have no problem eating junk food, for example). If food and your bodily functions are on your mind 24/7, it's very likely that you still have a problem. There's something in your mind you would rather cover up with colourful pictures of food and workout plans. Maybe just the void.
If you ate more raw fruit and less processed foods like beans and whole grains, I'm 169% confident that your vibrations would be much higher and you would live without your little "bandaids". /end sarcasm.
True. And medication helps maintain a problem from evolving depending on what the medicine is for. Or helps maintain hormones and enzymes that people need. Food can't achieve either of these. Food can't prevent disease or maintain hormones and enzymes. Food can also make people's problems worse. For people with digestive issues or food allergies. The purpose of food is ONLY to provide energy and minerals for humans. It doesn't do anything else because it CANT
NOONE would say that to anyone. Most people know fruit is important but don't have geological access to it (such as me as I live in the northeast and the winters here are harsh) or more often they don't have the money to afford veggies And fruit all the time.
And then there are people, who are suffering from fructose intolerance. They can not eat most fruits and vegetables. They even make them feel the complete opposite of "their highest vibrational self".
+Good Night I mean, it must be true. Have you seen Freelee's hot body? She seems to have cured herself of every disease imaginable by eating bananas, so clearly her advice is accurate!
yes and our great fruit godesses have a great explanation for that: it's all your fault if you're intolerant! you're sick because you didn't try to eat raw in the first place... great way to make an arguement...
I love potatoes, oatmeal, pasta, beans, steamed veggies, etc. foods that fill you up and are full of fiber which you couldn't eat being fullyraw. Hasn't she heard that some foods become more nutritious when cooked?
Makaila Bahr ummm...i dont need google to tell me how to eat...i can eat my tomatoes and greens raw...just like i eat all my other food raw...just like all life on earth eats its food raw...
Nikki Aught Well you said that foods that become more nutritious when cooked are foods we shouldn't be eating, yet tomatoes and leafy greens become more nutritious when cooked, so that was the point.
Who told u these things become more nutritional when they are cooked...and do you believe everything u here? Our bodies can break down tomatoes and greens just fine...to cook these foods causes them to be LESS nutritional...maybe u should consider stopping getting everything u kno from google.
I eat a healthy vegan diet, but I have RA,Lupus, migraines and other autoimmune and chronic illnesses that do need meds.chronic pain is agony with meds let alone without them.what you eat can play a huge role in your health but its not the only factor in it.
Pills are not bandaids! Sometimes medication does serve to effectively fix the problem, and sometimes you need to continue to take it for the problem to stay fixed. That isn't putting a bandaid on something; it's simply having a health condition that requires more than lifestyle changes to remedy the problem. I tried to come off of thyroid medication on fully raw and it was a terrible idea. You're almost looked at like a bad person though if you still take medicine while doing raw, or like if you take medicines then you must not be doing raw correctly. It's great to eat right, but doing so can't correct every last thing.
Nikki Aught I've seen your condescending comments plastered all over this video. Listen, I sincerely hope that your response won't be that I'm not "woke enough". Anyways, some people have ailments that can not be "cured" by "just" eating raw. To disregard those conditions is blatant ignorance on your behalf. No one is arguing that veganism won't improve your quality of life but it sure as heck won't magically cure everything.
A G raw foods wont cure these ailments...but medications will? Do u realize that most of these medications are made from raw herbs? There is no condition that raw food cannot heal. Unless it is something u are born with and even then there is still a possibility that raw foods, nuts, fruits, vegetables and HERBS can heal u. Just because YOU and others who "think" like u believe that raw foods cant heal everything...does not make it true. So yes...u arent woke enough.
Nikki Aught First and foremost, no one is claiming that medication will cure all ailments. It does provide relief to those in need. Once again you're claiming that somehow raw food will cure all. Statistically that's impossible, there will always be those that fall outside of that range. Perhaps this has more to do with semantics, if you were to say veganism and raw food helps most people, then that would be a more accurate statement. Anaya's, doc, let's say that someone is suffering from depression, what do you recommend or even yet let's say someone has cavities? Stay woke fam
Just Born Vegan I sincerely apologize for this rather stupid conversation that is happening in your comment thread. Unless she replies with something worthwhile I will no longer be a nuisance. Hope you are doing well!
I found trying to eat raw was a constant stress and struggle. Yeah I got soo sick of spending 50% of the day chopping things. You have to eat WAY more than if you just eat some rice or whatever. I just haven't got time for it... I've noticed people coming from Anorexia (like I did) are attracted to the raw food life.. seems pure :) but people like that just can't eat that much it's just not a thing haha. Failed because can't eat enough f'ing mangos. 🍑 Feel so much better being able to eat a small amount of food that high in nutrients, feel less 'like a pig'. 😅
I have pretty chronic mental health problems (no not just a low mood) and I can say my meds aren't bandaids. Most people criticism of fullyraw is really about eliminating legumes and whole grains from your diet. It's unnecessary because they aren't toxic foods, they are really good to eat. Sometimes regardless of how 'perfect' your diet is, illnesses happen and the only thing to help the people suffering is pills. Does having a rich diet full of veggies help, of course but it's not a solution.
viexon totally agree with you!!!! I tried to eat a perfect diet a few years ago and it exacerbated my depression, because trying to be perfect in this modern world is so stressful! Now I do the best I can and I am much happier. I don't live for a perfect diet anymore.
Her video made me sooo mad. I have gastroparesis and am fully NPO, I have separate G and J feeding tubes, I have a port for IV hydration and meds, I also have POTS, hEDS, and MCAD- those “bandaid” pills keep me alive. Thanks for the common sense, Swayze.
With type 2 diabetes, yes, eating a certain way can make it so you don't have to have insulin eventually... and with consistency for life... (yet, no evidence that they can be med free for life). but with type 1, there is no way. Even with the most effective diet for diabetics, a type 1 diabetic will still need to take insulin at some time.
I have to eat a very particular diet for medical reasons and absolutely hate having to worry about what goes in my mouth 24/7. I can't possibly imagine wanting to put yourself through that kind of stress voluntarily. I certainly wouldn't if I didn't have to.
THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS! Finally a voice of reason within our movement. I think those of us with mental illnesses who legitimately need our medications are so done with people within the vegan movement are fed up with this notion that eating raw or raw till 4 will cure it. Any good psychologist will tell you that tackling mental illness requires a combination of coping mechanisms, therapies like CBT and, in some circumstances, medication to help them. I need my medication for sleep in addition to the way it helps me cope with my severe anxiety and depression. What about people with manic depressive disorder who need their medication to minimise the risk of a manic episode? Or people who need meds for insomnia or anxiety or suicidal thoughts? It's easy to say "YOU DON'T NEED MEDICATION, IT'S JUST A BANDAID" when you don't depend on them to function in society. **All of this also applies to people with chronic illnesses, pain conditions, digestive issues, etc., everyone has difficulties in life and we shouldn't be judged for the things we need to survive.**
I once stopped taking my anti-depressants/anxiety meds and had the worst breakdown of my life. Three day panic attack, a spree of self harm and a lot of other disturbing things. I'd be dead right now without my pills, I'd like to get off of them but they are vital to me.
shes very prematurely aged and looks terrible TBH shes not even a good example of her diet. Even anecdote wise, considering shes late 20s, she looks mid 30s, which more or less reinforces the fact her diet is grossly unbalanced and deficient in nutrients.
well I wouldn't exactly say that because I mean...she looks fine...let's just agree on that, let's not make the way she looks by any means important to what is true and what isn't. UV is right with what she says, kristina isn't any more or less pretty because of that... looks don't matter when it comes to these things...
111gagafan that's really rude actually... she is a nice woman and spreads some bullshit, but her intnentions aren't any less good because of it. I don't want to reduce her down to her looks, her body is fine and her face is too. we don't say freelee's diet is healthy bcause she's skinny too, looks don't matter and they shouldn't when we talk about whether something is true or not.
Jane Plain I really thought she was in her 40s I feel bad for thinking that😭 I feel like every video I see of girls being raw for years and years (only exception Swayzie) they look a lot older than they actually are. I’m not sure what causes it I’m not trying to be rude but I’m genuinely concerned.
Speaking of "it's easy for her to say" have you seen high carb Hannah's latest absurd video about how to look 20 at 30. I was so offended and pissed off by that video. Her advice was wear sunscreen, wash your hair with apple cider vinegar and eat sos-free plant based diet. Hannah is a girl who doesn't have friends, family, kids or any other responsibilities. She lives to eat perfectly. Her lifestyle is so rare. She doesn't know what it's like to be so overwhelmed you don't even have time to use the bathroom. She lives in a bubble and is giving advice that doesn't make sense for the majority of the population. I need to stop watching her videos, she makes me feel awful about myself. Thanks for these videos.
actually, washing your hair with just apple cide vinegar pushes it into a PH state where it gets really unhealthy and dry... I agree with the sunscreen, but there are a ton of things you can do to look young, like eating fruits and veg's with a lot of dark colours and antioxidants.
I was really hoping you would post something about this. I agree with her that people should not be so quick to use certain medicines instead of trying to fix their diets from the inside out, BUT her and other vegan youtubers imply that you can heal yourself by water fasting and just eating fruits and veggies. Seriously, as someone who was very desperate and vulnerable when I came to this lifestyle, I probably would have bought that about 2 years ago, but instead I used my doctor's advice and mixed it with a whole plant based lifestyle and healed. This is also someone who got her wisdom teeth removed without anesthesia and who water fasted to heal herself. PEOPLE NEED TO STOP SPREADING THIS PSEUDO SCIENCE because it will literally kill people who are desperate and looking for a cure all. FullyRawKristina means well but her and other vegan youtubers forget how many people their videos reach, and if someone who is chronically ill completely abandons their doctor's supervision on the guidance of some of these "leaders," they may end up in worse health than before. Granted, I found a lot of peace and improved my health by going vegan, but I am not for taking a million steps back in history.
natural raw foods can heal anything...most of these "medicines" contain herbs...its always nature that does the healings. Fully Raw Kristana is on the right path she just isnt as familiar with the healing herbs as she is the other raw foods. the medical industry is definently going about healing in the wrong way.
She is maybe to one sided but vegan is proven to be the best diet. Dr.Michael Greger, Dr. McDougal, Dr.Gerson etc Can food heal anything? No But many illnesses will be a lot more tolerable. Some can indeed be cured like diabetes. It's backed by a string of test results. I'm not fully raw myself but I but I went vegan because of religious beliefs. There are many documentaries made about the medication industry. How people are forced to use some even though lab animals or humans have died from it. We also have documentaries on suppressed cancer cures. And lastly it's a fact that many profit driven foods like soy and some grains are mostly made of GMO. So it's understandable that she avoids those foods. Although it's likely she, as a busy woman hasn't see those documentaries. It's fair to note she, herself is cured from type 2 diabetes just from changing diet.
I'm not denying that at all! I got rid of so many issues when I cut out animal products, but being vegan doesn't mean that you're untouchable. a lot of doctors are poorly misinformed when it comes to nutrition, but that doesn't mean that they are complete garbage that should be ignored.
111gagafan Be my guest. Although Greger was in Time magazine, has talked on Google seminars and is the leading author in the vegan society. As for Gerson even the Nazi regime was impressed with his work. So if chemicals, being cutt up and injection radioactive materials is your thing, go for it!
111gagafan Some look younger than others. That's a fact. Some are quickly sick others almost never. Some can put many toxins in their body and live long and are beautiful, while others even living healthy will die in less time. Butt eventually?... So, this shouldn't be our focus. Michael Greger only presents an overview of every scientific research done on a food item in the face of longevity. And makes hard to understand scientific articles easy to understand for the public in order to apply in their lives.
You nailed it! She makes so many cuts/pauses to try keep herself as much as possible calm and probably put ice pack on her,out of anger, red burning cheeks. She is so fake.
LOL She promotes Monsanto GMO, vaccines and pharma drugs -- that's not bs? If you really are 13 years old and hooked into believing this propaganda, I have zero hope for you and your chemically dumbed down and poisoned generation.
Temple of the Animal Souls lol yeah the scientifically educated and critical thinkers are "dumb" but getting your info from uneducated conspiracy theorists on youtube with no background on in human biology ... yeah... that's smart
The simple fact that she has 8+ fridges and a garage room full of food on a weekly basis should be a good indication of how non realistic this life style is for a majority of the population. The budget for me and my two year old son is about $40-$45 a week for food. It's hard enough to be vegan and buy a decent amount of fruits and vegetables. Let alone eating fully raw. I know everyone says "it's just another excuse". But I financially cannot afford for me and my son to be fully raw. We are vegan at least and that's all that matters to me right now.
I love your videos first of all. I'm on my period and I feel like I'm dying and I've got the worst cramps. It's so bad I can barely stand up. So while I was listening to you I was swallowing 2 pills of MYDOL! I'm starting to feel so much better. So not only people who have permanent illnesses depend on pills, but also women (for example) on a normal day when she's in pain cause that's how our bodies work! And no, an apple is not going to take the pain away. Just because it's "unnatural" doesn't mean it's going to have negative effects on my body. Tea and soup will help for sure, but will ALSO need medicine to be able to go on with my daily duties (work, clean, cook, go out with friends even)!
You bring up great arguments & I appreciate your reasoning! I feel the same about Fully Raw Kristina's messages. But.. I've been on paleo (well.. SCD -specific carbohydrate diet) for about 3 years, and feel that I should defend it a little hehe.. sorry for this huge story! I went from eating a balanced diet full of whole grains, vegetables, fruit, dairy .. (and meat) for my entire life and ended up with inflammation levels of 126/5 in the ER and a Crohn's disease diagnosis. 3 months into paleo/SCD I was able to quit prednisone and other immunosuppressants (that are terrible for you). For about 2 1/2 years I only take probiotics and daily vitamins. I don't experience any symptoms of my Crohn's. This is not to say this diet is absolutely for everyone or is to be completely relied on as a replacement for pharmaceuticals by all means! But it does reduce inflammation, which prevents and is the stepping stone to healing diseases. At least it helps a lot! Many have started paleo after years of suffering and were able to significantly reduce their dose of meds or completely stop them.. When thousands of people have been near death with IBD while only taking medicine and continuing to eat grain and too much refined sugar...(like some of my friends who are only getting sicker and sicker..) Looking into the science and extensive research behind diets similar to paleo should be considered! Also none of the very famous paleo people that Im aware of have ever suggested stopping meds. This is something they encourage you to have a dialogue about with your doctor. You're right that it's important that people make educated decisions about their meds, and this is something many have discussed on their paleo platforms. Might I add that when I reintroduced casual rice, oats, potatoes and casual sugar 1 year ago I gained weight and experienced chronic fatigue and painful signs of my crohn's. Around 8 months later I went back on paleo and my joints have stopped hurting as well... I know that I am just 1 person.. but this is too big for me to ignore and too many similar cases to just turn a blind eye. Also I really love that you bring up food obsessions, because I must admit, when I was strict paleo (no cheats ever) that was all i thought about.. now that I allow myself the very occasional treat, I am able to focus on a lot other than food, and it's a relief! When you mentioned not feeling a difference between raw and how you currently eat, I think that's really the difference with paleo. You feel fucking fabulous, like you're high on life and all kinds of good drugs haha.. no but you have insane energy.. and this is coming from the world's most fatigued person pre paleo. Anyways I apologize for this annoying rant, sorry if it bothered you! Your videos are fantastic and love them always! Cheers!
Im SO GLAD I found your channel! last year when i turned vegan i was gonna fall into Kristina and freelees world and started to believe them, until i started watching you and you actually are sensible and have science to back your videos up.. youre awesome😆
There is a type of medicine called orthomolecular medicine which does in fact prove that many mental conditions are in fact nutritional deficiencies. The drugs to treat schizophrenia for example are antipsychotics which only mask symptoms and have nasty side effects. There are studies though that show that it may be a niacin deficiency. Unfortunately since vitamins cannot be patented the only treatment for most medical conditions that insurance will pay for are drugs and surgery. However the RDA levels for vitamins are the bare minimum and doses to treat illnesses would be 100's if not 1000's of times higher but there is no incentive to invest in these studies since they cannot be patented. However even the fully raw nutrient rich diet that Kristina eats still may not be enough and supplementation could be required.
I just got an ad for some crazy lady ranting about how if you don’t believe in god you won’t have the ability to distinguish between good and bad. 😩 and she said that because more people are atheist and believe they’re “their own gods” (or you know, being accountable for their actions???) and that’s why there’s more pedophiles now like I can’t even describe how disgusted I am at that indoctrination. And the other girl in the ad is that one girl you did a video on about hating vegans
I wonder how she'd feel if she found out that people can be fructose intolerant (hereditary) or have a malabsorbtion that literally prohibits them from consuming most fruit.
She sounds like a company that's maxed out its market share, hit a growth plateau, and hasn't fully come to terms with it. According to her, people who criticize her are "asleep"...and presumably not vibrating properly.
Kristina's diet clearly is not "nonsensical" - she's healthy and vibrant, and has been eating that "fully raw" vegan style for quite some time. It's obvious that it can work, and it's waaaay more healthy than fat and cholesterol laden non-vegan diets. And just as healthy as other vegan diets as far as we can see. Not for you? Fine. But it's silly to denigrate what's obviously working for her, and for others. And she's not wrong that there's waaaay to much focus on pills in our healthcare system.
I feel like Kristina's words are being taken out of context in this video. Maybe because she did not clarify, but I agree with some of what she said. I have chronic pain, occipital neuralgia to be exact, the pills were bandaids for me. I started developing stomach issues from anti inflammatory drugs and other health and mental issues from pills that doctors prescribed to me. The better I eat, the better I feel, the more I meditate the easier it is to deal with pain and depression. It is not the cure all, that I agree with. But pills are bandaids that cover up symptoms instead of dealing with the root cause. I was prescribed medical cannabis to deal with pain when it gets out of hand, I still believe this is a bandaid for my pain. Pills help, but I believe she is focused on the people who turn to pills to deal with health issues, rather than taking care of themselves and resorting to pills when there really is no other choice.
So legit question....can eating HEALTHIER overall such as eating more fruits and vegetables, help with chronic inflammation and pain? I'm just wondering if adding more vitamins and minerals to your diet can help your body improve your health?
Fruit causes the body to heal from inflammation. It is the most congruent food for humans on Earth. There is a big time difference between fruits/berries/melons and other foods when it comes to inflammation inside the body. Besides a water fast, the body detoxes (Detox can be a tough process sometimes) the most on a high fruit diet
best you can really do is doing a bloodtest and figure out what is causing the inflammation, which is why doctors are really great! sometimes an inflammation is caused by a lack of biotin(for example) and you get great results if you eat foods with more biotin in them. don't know about chrinic inflammation etc. but the thing is, we're all individuals with different diets and different likes/dislikes for different foods and therefore lacking different vitamins, you'll only know what you individually lack if you start looking for it, what works for someone else might not work for you, though some people with a similar lifestyle might have similar symptoms so...you know...it's all kinda bound to common sense, but you have to still get behind it. instead of just randomly eliminating foods or starting to eat something else because it worked for someone online, hoping to get results, you're better off caring for yourself.
Hmm... as someone who has been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, which means no amount of dieting will fix it, I find it offensive that she says medication is a bandaid. Medication helped me overcome suicidal ideation more than once, along with various other things (of course).
What about the 6'4" ectomorph with a really lanky frame who wants to build muscle to fill out his frame? You're telling him he's gonna do that on just raw fruits and veggies? Because SIMPLE MATH says otherwise.
How can fruit & veggies keep somebody who's got manic spiralling bipolar & anxiety disorder etc healthy? Good god if it was that easy then I'd be bloody cured along with all my other health problems.
I like eating raw food, but my Celiac disease makes it hard for me to digest some raw foods. I end up feeling sick. So I have to eat what makes me feel healthier. Some foods I can eat in abundance without feeling sick, and some foods I can only eat in small amounts without feeling sick. Sometimes, the way I eat it makes a huge difference. For example, I have to cook my beans until they are very soft! I have tried eating a raw food diet, and it made me feel extremely ill. It certainly did not heal me of my autoimmune disease! Actually, when I was first diagnosed with my Celiac disease, I could not eat much of anything without feeling sick (even water made my stomach hurt!). Strangely enough, the highly processed foods like corn chips and baby food were much easier on my tummy, and I spent a couple of years having to eat things I felt were unhealthy just because I could tolerate them. Now, I eat a vegan diet that is a mix of cooked foods and raw foods. I don't like eating too many processed foods because it does not make me feel my best, but I also cannot eat fully raw either. So, I guess for me, moderation is the key (except when I was super sick with CD, but that's not normal for me anymore!).
I used to like Kristina, but not so much anymore. I live in a really small town. The options in our grocery stores for a full raw vegan diet and not super plentiful. The produce sections of our grocery stores do not offer a large variety of produce. If I were to become a fully raw vegan, there is no way that would be sustainable in my area. I do not believe it would be possible to get the necessary nutrients on that diet where I live, unless I were to drive at least an hour to a larger town every few days to shop for food. That is ridiculous! Also, $20 a day is not affordable for me. Me and my husband both have good jobs. We can support ourselves. But we could never afford to spend that much on groceries. So, Kristina considers that an excuse. I should move to a large city and get a better job and make more money. That assumption by her that that is an excuse is insulting.
Some people Are thriving on a raw vegan diet :) ten years raw now for me and healthier than ever .....not saying that people don't thrive on cooked plants too :) showing kindness to all 😊 plant food for the win ❤️
Just because it works for you, doesn't mean it would work for someone else. And no, they aren't making excuses. It's a highly unsustainable and gluttonous, wastefull diet, you gotta eat way beyond what is reasonable because you gotta make up for removing "toxins" like cooked legumes and grains out of your diet.... I'm glad it works for you, I really am but don't come after people just because they are different.
Marta Perek-Blose I would love to see a response from someone on a raw diet about how unsustainable and wasteful it is. I have never seen someone raw tackle the topic of how much food they really are wasting like I’m beyond words my dude. It’s hilarious.
Unnatural vegan I'm going to have to disagree with you here. Kristina is a little fluffy sometimes but she is correct in saying that pills are "bandaids". There is nothing wrong with this statement. Though I think that the cooked food vegan lifestyle is far more realistic and is the one I choose to follow, Kristina is right. The health system in both Canada and the United states is very much focused on treatment. However, by simply treating all these people with chronic pain or chronic disease it does nothing to stop the persistence of the chronic diseases. What I think Kristina is trying to say is that there is a solution to prevent these illnesses from occurring which, in her opinion, is the fully raw vegan lifestyle. I am in university for Health Promotion right now, and one of the main ideas that my profs and presenters have aimed to get across is that we don't need anymore people treating or "bandaiding" diseases and illnesses. We need people preventing them by figuring out what is causing them in the first place. Kristina is right in saying that many disease could be avoided by simply adopting a healthy lifestyle and she is right that more people need to reach the consensus that fruits and vegetables are crucial to living a healthy life. However, nutrition is not the only aspect that makes one healthy. Do I think more people should eat fully raw? No, but I do think that her message shouldn't be labelled as "nonsense" as it is this progressive approach that is going to actually help the health system to save lives and possibly cure diseases.
***** I take it you didn't really read my response. No where did I say that Kristina's idea of curing every disease with fruits and vegetables was the solution we need, rather, that her approach is. A lot of chronic disease are genetic but a lot aren't as well. Diabetes for one is sometimes genetic but type two is often caused by a severely bad diet and lack of exercise. As a person who was on the verge of having type two diabetes before I got healthy, I know this. Things like heart disease can also be genetic but often aren't, things like cancer aren't technically genetic, but are often caused by outside factors that could easily be changed earlier along the path to prevent such a disease from happening. Ex: smoking cessation has definitely decreased the amount of people who have been diagnosed with lung cancer over the past 50 odd years. Like I also said, nutrition isn't the only aspect of health. I never said that eating fruits and vegetables will "cure" anything but it can improve someone's quality of life. Prevention isn't about throwing away all the people whose diseases were too far along to be prevented and I am not saying to stop treating people. But treating people isn't going to make the diseases go away.
"No where did I say that Kristina's idea of curing every disease with fruits and vegetables was the solution we need, rather, that her approach is." Same thing.
Pills are totally bandaids for both my best friend and my cousins wife who have lupus. They are so silly by using these bandaid solutions. They should quit taking their pills and just stop worrying about dying without them. Cure that shit with zucchini noodles. (If you haven't realized how absurd this is yet, then there is probably a reason why you don't realize how silly your initial statement was. Medication is completely necessary for some people. They would literally die without it. That's hardly a "bandaid.")
I have had seven shoulder neck lung surgeries over the past five years (I'm now 25), and I suffer from just excruciating pain every day. Many of my friends and acquaintances whom do not suffer from anything that required medication suggest alternative and mainstream options to help me "get better". I've done so many different things to try and ease the pain, but until a more permanent solution comes along, I need high dosages of pain medication to make functioning bearable. I really appreciate you arguing for those of us who suffer from something that eating healthy will not resolve.
I want to know how Kristina would feed her kid. i understand Baby Led Weaning, but to get actual calories and vegetables into a toddler without cooking them in some way...GOOD LUCK
I fully agree. I have done research especially for people that have autoimmune disorders like Arthritis, Sjogren's, Lupus, MS, etc. I think it's good to eat less processed food and reduce foods that add to inflammation, but it is not a cure-all. I have Depression and even though I am vegetarian with many vegan meal options I chose, my depression is still there. I am newer to eating this way fully for a year now. I have been battling vitamin D3 deficiency upping my levels per my doctors request. I do take B12 complex supplements as well as a prenatal (FYI- I like the DEVA brand over the Rainbowlite...thanks Swayze (-;), which keeps my other levels in a good range. I have chronic pain and my doc thinks I should go back to find out if I do have Rhem. Arthritis. I will say my green protein smoothies in the morning help for energy, I have less indigestion from my GERD and bile reflux, but it is not a cure all. Sleep, reducing stress, and having a routine helps too. I am not currently on medications against the doctors wishes, but I do take some stomach meds at times when I'm having severe symptoms. People have all kinds of issues and disorders. Food can help, but there are so many other things that can help too.
Thanks for your sane and grounded response. Sometimes I think VRC has no touch to reality. I can't stand her attitude like "these people who don't eat like me are sleeping bla bla". No wonder people think all vegans are entitled >_>
while not the case in many circumstances, as someone who works in healthcare and has an interest in this topic, a lot of the treatments (medications) for chronic illness are bandaid approaches that are used to control symptoms rather than treat disease. doctors don't really focus on disease, they focus on symptoms as though they themselves are diseases. considering that a lot of chronic illness and pain is related to lifestyle and diet, it makes a lot of sense to change these factors to treat disease. doctors often don't even consider this and then just try to throw meds at you, which all have side effects, many of them significant. medical science is not infallible, and a lot of current widely accepted treatments just don't hold up to research. medicine is an applied science, and while doctors are generally well-informed people who want to do good, nothing a doctor says should be taken as gospel. it's important to read, stay informed and in control of your own health- alternatives to mainstream medicine aren't all quackery.
You do need exercice while pregnant. Especially target abs, abductors and perineum. You'll need those for your delivery and recovery afterwards (even if you have a c-section)
I don't know what it means to feel like I have energy, I just notice when I feel like I have no energy, which normally means that I have forgotten to eat for many, many hours--which is applicable to all diets.
Hi Swayze, I've asked Dr Greger the same question today under a video, but wondering if you know of scienctific studies into the chances of a child raised vegan from birth developing egg allergies? I have read that exposing young children to things like peanuts as part of the first meals (peanut butter, obviously) reduces likelihood of peanut allergies and there has been a suggestion that parents may wish to do the same with eggs. I was unsure whether this was a classic non-argument about being deficient in , but in the case of allergies it is a genuine concern because of the potential effects of anaphylaxis. Keen to hear your thoughts and understanding of this, which I imagine would be relevant to yourself also.
Fullyraw Kristina is my favourite vegan TH-camr. I'm drawn to her positive attitude and her videos make me happy 😊. Even though I'm not "fully raw", I love her recipes and she encourages me to eat more fruits and veggies. 🍍🍌🍒
wait, whats wrong with paleo? ... i havnt really looked at the deeper theory or whatever you want to call it, i use it as a frame work "avoid this, have as much of that as you want..." only following about 80% cuz i love oats/grains for breakfast. i had to go gluten free a couple years ago. and i'm pretty sensitive to dairy too so i was practically on the paleo type diet before i started putting the label on myself
The "pills are bad/medicine is evil" shit is why Jen's Journey and other people like her try to cure cancer + other serious diseases with alternative medicine. Kristina's needs to think about people like Jen before she makes claims like this.
As someone who takes 20+ pills a day, 5 different medications for my heart, 2 medications for chronic pain, I take vitamin D and Magnesium and then a few other medications for things I have no control over. If it was completely 100% true that changing my diet completely would get me off these meds, I wouldnt think twice about it. But even with a "cleaner" diet, I would still be on majority of these medications. Not every condition can be cured by healthy eating, I have a genetic condition that has no cure and no treatment. At this point me and my doctors treat my symptoms, and more pop up because this condition will just continue to get worse. I can't stand when people want to say pills are just bandaids and are ultimately bad for us. Sometimes, yeah, I have to do research on every medication I am prescribed and I have to make the decision whether or not the benefits out way the side effects, is it worth it in the end. Most of the time it is. Thank you for this video and responding to a toxic video like that, even if there was no malicious intent when she posted that.
I have IBS and I therefore have fructan and fructose malabsorbtion (to name a few things I can't eat), to reference Monash these are some of the fruits and vegetables I can't eat... 'Asparagus, artichokes, onions, leek bulb, garlic, sugar snap peas, onion and garlic, beetroot, Savoy cabbage, celery, sweet corn, Apples, pears, mango, nashi pears, watermelon, nectarines, peaches, plums'. The list is an awful lot longer, but it's be very boring to include the entire thing. Whilst I manage to be vegan I really can't imagine being 'fully raw' and only eating fruit/veg considering even foods with lower amounts of the carbohydrates I'm intolerant to can trigger symptoms if I consume them in the quantities I maybe would on a raw diet as the carbohydrates can 'stack', also cooking fruits/veg make them more digestible. A lot of people with IBS would very quickly drop to being underweight if they tried to follow a raw diet as they cannot absorb most of the carbohydrates in a lot of fruits and veggies. I see so many vegans with this idea that fruits and vegetables will heal your body, and that the raw diet is for everyone. I've even watched 'critique' videos by raw vegans who look at people who've 'failed' the raw diet and they insist that everyone's bodies are the same, I feel like comments like this ignore the differences in peoples bodies, and health issues some of us face. I'm sick of this idea that people are 'making excuses' when so many of us simply couldn't go raw successfully. I know my experience isn't the norm but I wanted to share a different perspective.
Yeah the pills are bandaids thing pisses me off. I am by most definitions a fairly healthy vegetarian. But I have neurological issues stemming from a childhood case of viral meningitus (the lining of the brain swells up as a result of a whole list of viral infections and it can cause some pretty severe damage in severe cases) I was lucky, my case left me with severe ADHD a condition that will not go away that can't be "cured" and I will never grow out of. It also left me with migraines and some other fun neurological symptoms. I require daily medication to live a productive life. I require a whole host of medications to cope with a pain so severe I want to rip my own eye out, so severe that light makes me vomit. But preachy people are constantly telling me I will be cured of physiological damage if I stop taking the medications or I go vegan or I go raw or I stop eating some random food or whatever or they blame the medication. It just makes my blood boil. (Please don't suggest stuff, I understand most people have good intentions but through 10 years of trial and error I have a diet and life style that works well for me 😊)
I'm in week 31 of my pregnancy and am experiencing the exactly same thing as you are - tired and sleepy after exercise! Feels so weird, as I'm usually super active and generally quite well trained. Just needing to adjust to the changes that are taking place I guess, :D
I am vegan but yeah, the "pills are bandaids" thing is ridiculous. I have a severe autoimmune disorder and without my "toxic pills" I would be dead.
Samantha Valens
Same here.
European Gal Ehlers Danlos isn’t autoimmune.. it’s a genetic connective tissue disorder
Samantha Valens
You are stupid too because I have a severe autoimmune disease and veganism has saved me
Quinn Johnson
Lies. U are believing Lies!
This makes me so mad, my mom has epilepsy and without her daily medicine she would have died over 20 years ago from seizures. Kristina is so ignorant and lives in her own little bubble.
Emily Elizabeth hemp oil....
@@alabaster2163 doesn't work for everyone.
emily elizabeth this is very unrelated but we have the same name
@@alabaster2163 snake oil.....
Kristina is a sweet girl, but she lives in a fantasy world where her parents are loaded and she has pretty much unlimited access to all the food she wants. Only a tiny fraction of people could live the way she promoted.
we could all live this way if we moved to the tropics and lived naturally. growing fruit and nut trees like we are suppose to
Sunny Rain yes, let all of humanity move to the tropics just to be raw vegan. best and most thought out idea ive ever heard
***** Ive been in the jungles of Brazil all my life and have never experinced a hurricane. succ me its a good idea. It would change the world. No more pollution. No more war. All humans working together to heal each other along with the planet
Sunny Rain yeah! the billions of people moving to the tropics, great idea.
succ me its very possible.
You rock!
💜
"I'll go eat that soda." I don't know where she's from, but here in the Pacific Northwest we drink our sodas.
here in Texas we eat our sodas so check your self son
What the fuck part of Texas are you from? I'm from Texas too and i've never eaten a soda.
Drinking soda is too mainstream in Portland tho ;)
from the good part where we eat our sodas and don't drink them like Savages
it's easy to freeze it
Give me a bag of apples and I can throw away all of my epilepsy meds! The absolute dream
Was she vegan?
That is so sad, and exactly why pseudoscience and science denial is so dangerous 😥😣
Omg! Sarah i love your channel. ❤️❤️❤️
I think she eats too much raw carrots. She's orange.
Maybe this time she accidentally increased the saturation of her face instead of the green leaves behind her. Those bushes are suspiciously greyish
Eszti Szép It is a possibility 😂
She seems orange nowdays. My brother got orange because my Mom fed him with carrots daily :D
Btw hi fellow Hungarian :)
No joke, my sister actually got an orange tinge on her fingernails after eating pounds of carrots once.
She was terrified and her doctor just laughed and told her she'd be alright.
Sofia Almeida her spray tan and make up is disgusting
you're like the real life vegan Daria. I love it
Ps Swayze, that was a compliment I love Daria!
omg LOL didn't see it until now.
I love Daria too!
Somebody draw a Swayzia caricature PLEASE
I'm vegan, people have told me I sound like Daria too
Kristina makes it sound like bandaids aren't oftentimes completely necessary. Bad metaphor, Kristina.
Wait. I just found my core message... Now I need to find my 'highest vibrational self?'
Sonali Singh 😂😂😂 NICE.
Sonali Singh If youre not youre highest vibrational self, then seriously, what the FUCK are you doing?
You win the internet for the day
Best. Comment. Ever.
This is great
Is Kristina powering those eight refrigerators with solar panels? I don't watch her videos, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but disregarding the way she eats, that doesn't exactly sound like a sustainable or environmentally conscious way of living if she's consuming massive amounts of electricity.
That's what I was thinking. The more extreme these hippies get the bigger hypocrites they become.
and she ONLY drinks a certain brand of bottled water. not sustainable at all.
she doesn't have eight fridges for herself, many people live there.
She probably considers that she saves on the oven..
***** If she wanted to be really natural as far as an oven then she could use a sun oven of various types. There are a ton of ways to cook food without using electricity.
Good luck replacing a fridge which our ancestors also did without...
Ugh. She's very sweet, but extremely mislead
Rachael Brentley I agree! She seems like such a sweet person but Jesus what bs. In the south we say "bless her heart" to people like her.
nah, it's her brand. she knows what she's doing and doesn't care
alluneedislessthan3
I grew up in Arkansas and I legit said "bless her little heart" when she started talking about her "highest vibrational self."
I'm so sick of people who say that 'Oh just eat this way and it'll cure your disabilities'! Thank you for pointing out this nonsense!
i rely on meds so I survive. It is a genetically transferred disease which I cant cant be cured and requires me taking my meds as long as I am alive. I am a vegan and I take medication every single day but most of all I am HEALTHY and HAPPY
easily manipulated into being medicated. sad shame.
I'm hypothyroid, along with millions of others. Are you saying we don't need our medication?
"natural healer" k thanks doc for the credibility confirmation
LMAO I am now on a quest to become my highest vibrational self!!
I was thinking of buying a bunch of battery-powered massagers and permanently attaching them to my body. Should do the trick.
orgasm galore
+Anon Chick omg
But she said "highest vibration" not "highest power", you should buy a lot of smartphones and attach to your body and turn on vibration... I guess.
Hippie message AF
Seriously, I think that often people choose extreme diets because it allows them to spend more time and energy focused on themselves.
Sometimes it works as a distraction.
Another addiction to distract from things they can't face. We all have some kind of self medication!
...and we tend to look over how you can still have addictive and obsessive behaviour around food or use it as a distraction while being physically in perfect health.
Without medication I would die
That's because you haven't become your highest vibrational self yet
If you ate more raw fruit and less processed foods like beans and whole grains, I'm 169% confident that your vibrations would be much higher and you would live without your little "bandaids".
/end sarcasm.
No you guys don't understand... I was born with a medical condition which requires me to take meds to live
They are all sarcastic and don't agree with Kristina, so it's actually you that don't understand...
lollsazz oh ok lol 😂😂
Bandaids are really useful, simple and inexpensive solutions that stop little problems from getting worse 🙌🏽
“Too often I hear from people I don’t need fruits and vegetables I’ll go eat my fast food”- literally no one has said that to her
NOONE would say that to anyone.
They even make them feel the complete opposite of "their highest vibrational self".
hey, here I am XD
+Good Night I mean, it must be true. Have you seen Freelee's hot body? She seems to have cured herself of every disease imaginable by eating bananas, so clearly her advice is accurate!
please tell me your joking
yes and our great fruit godesses have a great explanation for that:
it's all your fault if you're intolerant! you're sick because you didn't try to eat raw in the first place...
great way to make an arguement...
fully raw is love, fully raw is life
I have never understood how or why people have bought into Kristina's over-saturated, fully fake persona.
I love potatoes, oatmeal, pasta, beans, steamed veggies, etc. foods that fill you up and are full of fiber which you couldn't eat being fullyraw. Hasn't she heard that some foods become more nutritious when cooked?
foods that become "more nutrious when cooked" are mainly foods we arent suppose to be eating anyway...raw vegan is the way...nature knows best
We shouldn't be eating tomatoes or leafy greens then? Please do a quick Google search before commenting.
I eat a healthy vegan diet, but I have RA,Lupus, migraines and other autoimmune and chronic illnesses that do need meds.chronic pain is agony with meds let alone without them.what you eat can play a huge role in your health but its not the only factor in it.
www.healyourself101.com you can heal from ALL OF that.
Soret for what you're going through and don't feel bad for using whatever treatment is available.
you're so done with her bs, I love it 😂
Lol my thyroid pills are bandaids? Well my body literally doesn't work properly without it. I will keep those bandaids
It's great to eat right, but doing so can't correct every last thing.
it CAN. quit letting people manipulate u into thinking bullshit
kristina lives in a world filled with unicorns and unlimited greens
And said Unicorns are Sky Free Range & shit dairy free frozen custard already in a sugar free gluten free waffle cone.
Ok but honesty I think she's too far into her ideology to see your response as logical
The comment section of these videos is a good source of entertainment, raise your vibrational self y'all.
I wonder if her crazy stalker guy is someone that stopped their meds to go fully raw? I wonder what she has to say about meds in that guys situation?
That's a little harsh and mean.....
Bonnie Leary thank you.
Nasa P yes, I forgot to mention that very good point you made, they are always changing their minds on what they "think".
actually, washing your hair with just apple cide vinegar pushes it into a PH state where it gets really unhealthy and dry...
I agree with the sunscreen, but there are a ton of things you can do to look young, like eating fruits and veg's with a lot of dark colours and antioxidants.
fat is good, fat isnt good... obviously... scoff scoff
lol sorry just annoying
Why do they always assume we eat junk food if we aren't raw food vegans or vegans? 😂😂😂😂
McDougal, Dr.Gerson etc
Can food heal anything? No
But many illnesses will be a lot more tolerable.
I love your vids and the fact that you are so anti bs and logical. Any tips for how to do that on my channel?
vegan youth , try doing you now also to build your subs !
Ciera Cooley HAHAAHAH hell yes girl i'm glad you understand this
The simple fact that she has 8+ fridges and a garage room full of food on a weekly basis should be a good indication of how non realistic this life style is for a majority of the population.
Stop drinking Soda? Softdrinks are the best drinks for weightloss, though
correction, Sprite is 😂
hahahhahaha........OMG! THANKS for making me laugh with Sprite! OMG.....spraait (how to pronounce).....fruit in a can xD
Hope you're joking. If not, you're really stupid.
Like....is Durian Rider even real?...*whispers* is the soda even...fruit?
(jokes all around lollsazz)
lollsazz DurianRider made a video about how Sprite was the best thing for weight loss and they're just mocking him.
I can see what she means, in that pills are overprescribed and they are not a cure-all.
Medication is typically not advertised as a "cure" but as a way to manage symptoms. Typically, surgery or lifestyle change is the cure.
There's a lot of things that can't be cured and only managed by medication. Which significantly improves a persons life.
until the symptoms of the medication kicks in... Medication is not sustainable.
That's not what she means she means don't ever use them which is ignorant
"Pills are bandaids", sure without my eyedrops, I will LITERALLY go blind, because of my glaucoma.
Cheers!
Im SO GLAD I found your channel! last year when i turned vegan i was gonna fall into Kristina and freelees world and started to believe them, until i started watching you and you actually are sensible and have science to back your videos up.. youre awesome😆
and ur easily manipulated.
Lol.. it seemed like a healthy lifestyle that was gonna go well with what i had happening in my life back then so yeah
Highest vibrational self..wtf is that?? I bet I have a really low vibration. Cause I eat beans and potatoes.
What a shame :( :(
Ia861 The trick is to wrap your entire body in kale to hold the vibrators to your body better. Really gets ya goin.
Iseen Godd sounds like somebody needs a jackhammer squared
As a chronically depressed and anxious type 1 diabetic, I wish just changing my diet worked! Lol Too bad my pancreas doesn't want to work.
Anti-depressants saved my life. I'm confident that most people don't take seriously the person to whom you refer. She sounds like Tom Cruise.
I wonder how she'd feel if she found out that people can be fructose intolerant (hereditary) or have a malabsorbtion that literally prohibits them from consuming most fruit.
shhhhh
mido right? I have intestinal failure and can’t eat at all. I’m sure that would stump her 😂
Ummm she’s right about pills being band aids though. Most diseases are caused by poor diets, lack of exercise and bad hygiene practices.
Okay thanks for the clarification!
axeman036 try eliminating dairy, if you haven't already. Dairy can cause inflammation, I believe.
best you can really do is doing a bloodtest and figure out what is causing the inflammation, which is why doctors are really great! sometimes an inflammation is caused by a lack of biotin(for example) and you get great results if you eat foods with more biotin in them. don't know about chrinic inflammation etc. but the thing is, we're all individuals with different diets and different likes/dislikes for different foods and therefore lacking different vitamins, you'll only know what you individually lack if you start looking for it, what works for someone else might not work for you, though some people with a similar lifestyle might have similar symptoms so...you know...it's all kinda bound to common sense, but you have to still get behind it. instead of just randomly eliminating foods or starting to eat something else because it worked for someone online, hoping to get results, you're better off caring for yourself.
Hmm... as someone who has been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, which means no amount of dieting will fix it, I find it offensive that she says medication is a bandaid. Medication helped me overcome suicidal ideation more than once, along with various other things (of course).
yes i have the less severe form of bipolar disorder and this kristina girl is so uneducated and rude
I'd like to see a body builder be able to get the 180 grams of protein they need a day on a raw vegan diet (vegan yes, but no way on raw)
we dont even need all that protein bruh. people walkn around big and blocky for no needed reason
What about the 6'4" ectomorph with a really lanky frame who wants to build muscle to fill out his frame? You're telling him he's gonna do that on just raw fruits and veggies? Because SIMPLE MATH says otherwise.
raw vegans don't think they need that kind of protein, they think around 60g is enough.
sheepnoisebah it is dummy. If u dont know about the pure side of muscle building and proteins then just shut the fuck up
Lonz Moore the pure side of muscle building... sounds like something your highest vibrational self would say
Some people Are thriving on a raw vegan diet :) ten years raw now
for me and healthier than ever .....not saying that people don't thrive on cooked plants too :) showing kindness to all 😊 plant food for the win ❤️
You look healthier :)
hey Tanny!!! 💙
me too...I am raw 4 years and everything is cool
"No where did I say that Kristina's idea of curing every disease with fruits and vegetables was the solution we need, rather, that her approach is."
Same thing.
How is food going to help someone with schizophrenia or epileptic fits?
Pills are totally bandaids for both my best friend and my cousins wife who have lupus.
They are so silly by using these bandaid solutions.
They should quit taking their pills and just stop worrying about dying without them.
Cure that shit with zucchini noodles.
(If you haven't realized how absurd this is yet, then there is probably a reason why you don't realize how silly your initial statement was. Medication is completely necessary for some people. They would literally die without it. That's hardly a "bandaid.")
Elizabeth Carr are you at UNT?
I have had seven shoulder neck lung surgeries over the past five years (I'm now 25), and I suffer from just excruciating pain every day. Many of my friends and acquaintances whom do not suffer from anything that required medication suggest alternative and mainstream options to help me "get better". I've done so many different things to try and ease the pain, but until a more permanent solution comes along, I need high dosages of pain medication to make functioning bearable. I really appreciate you arguing for those of us who suffer from something that eating healthy will not resolve.
why are there so many ads?
Adblock, please download it.
Joanna R But consider not using it on TH-cam because the creators live off the ads.
why did she do a water cleanse to "detoxify" if she doesn't eat anything but clean fruits & vegs?
mrsgarzacamacho exactly! What toxins are in clean fruit and vegetables?! So hypocritical 😂
You could comment on the newest BriannaJackFruitson video. She also ditched raw and talked about how it influenced her life and mental health. Please!
pelearna
Another one bites the dust!
generally good video but I don;t dig the snooty high horse vibe that much
"High horse vibe"..... Not a very vegan-friendly line ;)
Exactly. her vibe is screams "slap me". lol
Vegan Footsoldier
Your comment is way more snooty.
MartianBlues i don't reckon so. I was just saying that I found the vibe snooty, whereas the video itself was almost 22 minutes of smug superiority
the condescending attitude is so annoying. Unnatural vegans videos have an increasingly superior tone.
Every couple of sentences of hers I keep thinking, "why does this sound like a cult?"
You do need exercice while pregnant. Especially target abs, abductors and perineum. You'll need those for your delivery and recovery afterwards (even if you have a c-section)
"Highest vibrational self" LOL
I don't know what it means to feel like I have energy, I just notice when I feel like I have no energy, which normally means that I have forgotten to eat for many, many hours--which is applicable to all diets.
Seriously tho...highest vibrational self doesn't even sound like a good thing 😂 #idontwannavibrate
Ugh yes mom I love you and your videos sm.
Fullyraw Kristina is my favourite vegan TH-camr. I'm drawn to her positive attitude and her videos make me happy 😊. Even though I'm not "fully raw", I love her recipes and she encourages me to eat more fruits and veggies. 🍍🍌🍒
8 fridges in her house? It must look like inside a Sears store at her house. Plus, nice carbon footprint there if that is true. SMH
wait, whats wrong with paleo? ... i havnt really looked at the deeper theory or whatever you want to call it, i use it as a frame work "avoid this, have as much of that as you want..." only following about 80% cuz i love oats/grains for breakfast. i had to go gluten free a couple years ago. and i'm pretty sensitive to dairy too so i was practically on the paleo type diet before i started putting the label on myself
She puts her face so close to the camera to get a face slimming effect from the lens distortion.
Jollo Jakar really? Weird
Lol she is chubby tho :/
LOL I thought you were talking about this sh*t claimin' idiot Unna on the video!
Not everyone likes or wants babies/children. Some people enjoy the freedom that being single with no dependants brings.
There's a chicken ad on your video. I keep seeing this ad on many vegans' youtube channels. Is there a way to report them? I've got screen shots.
kristina is not entirely wrong. if you get sick from a lifestyle problem then you need to fix that lifestyle first. pills have their place.
Any opinion on her claiming her hair fell out when first going raw because of her body getting rid of "toxins"
Hah, my lil’ Zoloft bandaids saved me, wouldn’t trade them out for anything.
(Please don't suggest stuff, I understand most people have good intentions but through 10 years of trial and error I have a diet and life style that works well for me 😊)
Without my “toxic pills” I wouldn’t be able to breathe easily.
I'm in week 31 of my pregnancy and am experiencing the exactly same thing as you are - tired and sleepy after exercise! Feels so weird, as I'm usually super active and generally quite well trained. Just needing to adjust to the changes that are taking place I guess, :D
