The hair loss, and scaly skin is definitely from the accutane. They are common symptoms from taking accutane. Many people also relapse with acne after taking accutane. I think her memory loss is from low b12, as she says she doesn't like to supplement. It's so strange to me that a person with fake breasts, 2 nose jobs, fake teeth, a chin implant, lip injections, who took accutane, and who has had the fat carved out of her face is against supplementation.
Low b12 can cause serious problems. My omnivore FIL has dementia so hes not all that aware and cant tell us how hes feeling. The elderly sometimes have b12 absorption issues. Low b12 caused shuffling, his vocabulary plummeted, he stopped wanting to go outside. He even had trouble with regulating his own temperature. Liquid b12, an insanely high amount above of the daily recommended amount cost 10 bucks for a 2 month supply and put him smack on the middle of the normal age. We have the solutions that work. Use them.
Kalel was such a holier than thou vegan back in the day! I think she really needs to start by addressing her mental health. She is completely consumed with her appearance and achieving perfection. She's had so many cosmetic procedures and they still haven't made her happy. It's really sad.
She has OCD given her emphasis on natural treatment I doubt she taking the meds she probably needs. The meds won't cure her but would make her ability to feel better and control her anxiety easier.
@@sharilton nah, I do believe she was diagnosed with OCD because I remember her saying she stopped going to therapy basically right after getting diagnosed and that's completely in line with her behaviours.
How tf can someone who has implants be against supplements cuz they aren't natural!!! That makes no sense!!! Get rid of your implants!!! Mine made me so sick! That could be her issue. I mean, she has the money to get new ones if that doesn't work. But many women fall ill to implants
Oh shoot.... Yeah she probably DOES have breast implant illness. The recent videos I've seen show women that have a lot of the same issues she has said she has. Vanity is not worth good health. The only thing is, labs come back normal with breast implant illness. Maybe it's a combination of things.
Yes I was waiting for a response. Why would you turn vegan and be against supplementing. She has foreign objects in her body via cosmetic surgery, but won’t take a supplement🙄
I would never NEVER thought that Kalel will eat animals again 😱 the way she was passionated about them, protected them, cried for them.....I mean.....it's insane
I got diagnosed with a hormone imbalance, particularly testosterone, when I was 17 (nowhere near vegan) and I can guarantee that eating eggs and meat aren’t the way to get all that fixed. I’ve been on the pill for nearly 4 years and even though my symptoms didn’t go away, they’re better.
Same here, I was diagnosed with PCOS several years ago and my free testosterone levels were off the charts. I've been on birth control pills since then and my levels are completely stable now, and symptoms are almost completely gone, even though I'm vegan and eat a shit ton of carbs. Go figure.
@@azugirl111 I have endometriosis and found the most relief from surgery, hormonal birth control (IUD for me), and dietary changes. My doctor actually recommended a more plant based diet when I first got diagnosed, and I've found that a diet with some lean meat (I can't do soy or gluten) and mostly whole plant foods help with managing inflammation and pain.
Andr3w066 From watching her video it all seems like a hormonal issue, not a dietary issue. Birth control helped me the most, not how many eggs I ate or what meat I had that day. My diet didn’t change my symptoms, but hell I can be wrong about her
Rachael Wilson exactly so how about you stop playing doctor and promote people to actually go to healthcare professionals instead of diagnosing people based on the symptoms they stated on youtube.
I used to LOVE Kalel a few years ago (she was one of my inspirations for going vegetarian) but her video was RIDICULOUS. I hate the appeal to "uwu natural is the best way" but I hate even more that it is coming from someone who has had plastic surgery/beauty treatments/etc (not that there's anything wrong with plastic surgery, I just find it extremely hypocritical to be against supplements because they aren't natural but accept other unnatural things when they suit you). I honestly think she's just tired of being vegan and wants to stop but wants to excuse herself so she doesn't get as much hate and her conscience is clean lmao
Valentina right! I also think it’s about how she WANTS to eat meat and dairy again but “needs a good reason” for it so she doesn’t get as much hate 🤦🏻♀️
So grateful for your unique voice on TH-cam. When so many other vegans start/stop at "YOU'RE NOT VEGAN WAHH," you present such better arguments. Obviously, we're not happy about someone dropping veganism, but we need to make a case for this that meets them at their level of discontent in the diet/lifestyle. You do this so well.
I care more about animals than what’s ”natural”. Nothing is really that natural anymore anyways lol If I need to take a few supplements to stay vegan, I’ll do that
@melissa cabrera What was it about the salmon that helped if you don't mind me asking? Since Omega-3 can also be supplemented even using salmon fish oil capsules
Seriously! If you DON'T want to be vegan then don't! But this whole "youtube justification" is just bullshit. Live the life you want. Why do these people feel the need to seek approval from strangers on the internet?? I'm not vegan but I truly like Swayze and her mindset. I've been eating way more veg, Legumes, nuts and NO processed foods. I have gone days without any animal products. Back on talk...I don't understand why this woman feels the need to justify her eating habits to strangers...EDIT: Swayze is the only Vegan I watch on youtube. why? She is such a normal, well spoken person. I truly like the fact that she has no agenda. She is honest, medical minded( anti pseudoscience ) If more people in the Vegan community were like Swayze I think more people would listen.
Swayze is a quack. She has no credibility, no medical background and nothing she says makes any sense whatsoever. If once you say you feel tired all the time and need coffee, and at another time you say you don't feel tired, you're contradicting yourself. If you praise raw vegan diet at one point in time and say it makes you feel amazing, and at another time when you haven't been following it for a number of years you say it made you sick, you're deceiving yourself and your audience.
@@yashuabaryosef4413 LOL you have no idea what "quack" actually means, that much is clear. Of course young moms want a coffee in the morning, what's wrong with that? It's not the same as having fatigue. You're really reaching.
When I was growing up, in an omni household, my mom ingrained in us that we always take a multivitamin. And then later in life I’d always heard it recommended to take one (unrelated to diets). Working in the pharmacy, I see half the neighborhood come in for vitamin supplementation in their prescription doses. And none of them are vegan.
Hey, don’t talk smack about Jilly Juice. When candida caused my arm to get cut off in an industrial accident, Jilly Juice caused it to grow back. Damn you, candida!!! I’m so proud to be an Ohioan.
Her hormones and digestion are out of whack due to years of Accutane, cosmetic surgeries including breast implants) and therefore probably antibiotics constantly prescribed). She’s worried that taking supplements isn’t “natural” but gets implants???
I know she is spreading a lot of shit but I think this is all really tied up in her fight with her OCD. I think she's genuinely believing this stuff as she just tries to cope with everything. I hope she is able to find healing.
Honestly, I think so too. I truly believe she's not a bad person. She has some serious psychological issues and needs help. Also, she probably also needs to get out the implants, they're making thousands of women sick (including new, but I am of course still vegan). I really hope the best for her.
Agreed. She's also isolated in her apartment most of the time, so she has hours and hours a day to obsess over herself that much more. She just digs herself deeper and deeper.
Agree. She's started spending hours observing samples of her "findings" under a microscope and honestly, so many of these behaviours sound like it's her OCD
I loved her until all of this started. It’s not because she isn’t vegan anymore, but because she’s being so dramatic and selfish about the way her channel is run.
She's worried about her health, so I think coming across as selfish is understandable. I just really hope she seeks actual medical care and works on her living situation. Staying cooped up in an apartment/house with cats and youtube for company is not healthy.
The vegan couple’s response was really good too. And I liked her too until all of this started. She’s talking about hormonal imbalance and eating things pumped of hormones like livestock won’t fix the issue obviously I think it’s much deeper than that. Starting with her mental health.
If you really pay attention to her you'll see that she's never been a good person lol. Her ex, Anthony Padilla, said she was very manipulative when they were together and that she used him.
Honestly this was my last straw with kalel. I really relate to her on a lot of things so I've always given her a pass. I'm also really obsessed with perfecting my appearance, being "aesthetic" in all factors of my life, constantly trying to reach perfection. I struggle with anxiety like she does. So because of that I've always been a little flippant when she makes mistakes. But this one just really hurts my heart, especially because she's literally the reason I stopped eating and wearing animal products. Her video "Why I'm vegan + How you can be too" caused me to go vegan overnight. I was disappointed when she deleted that video (but not surprised, she eventually deletes everything) and I'm even more so now. It's mind blowing to me that someone who was so passionate not that long ago would not just take a fucking supplement??? Veganism being "natural" or not was never the discussion. It doesn't matter. I'm really super disappointed in her. I finally had to unsub after yeeeears of putting up with her bullshit. (She recently made a video about how she couldn't be with a man who didn't help her grow intellectually and talked about how smart she was and how much she brings to a relationship. There was zero self reflection at all, it was super annoying and pretentious tbh.) But its this one drove me off the edge.
Avocadhoes yes!! And how she was so quick to turn on the vegan community and talk down to others. I felt the exact same way when she was talking about her past relationship. This is just her current phase being all “intellectual” and “so into biology!” She bought a microscope so she must be a biologist right?? Uhh I used to really like her but it’s hard to even stand her at this point. Especially now that she’s telling people that you need meat to be healthy 🙄🙄
Sophie totally agree. She thinks she is sooo educated and smart because she’s taken like 2 college classes and has a freaking microscope. And how she acted like she’s soooo busy with school and stuff....girl you don’t have a job and you were taking one class....there are people out there taking 5 classes and working a job as well (like me) and doing better in school than you. And then how she said she only did it to meet a “hot professor”???? Like....I honestly think she’s lost it.
o l yes I agree. That was the thing that solidified the fact that this is just her newest phase to make herself “the best” in some way. Like with all her other phases she spends exorbitant amounts to have all the right clothes, supplies, whatever to fit the model of what she’s going for. It’s kind of sad to watch to be honest. Because she thinks those external things are what make you who you are. Or at least is appears that way.
Am I the only one who immediately thought about the lysine video from 3 years ago(!!!) that addressed youtubers including Kalel on this issue? Anyway, thanks for the video, very instructive as always.
the Robin Saying “I’m not vegan” nonchalantly in this context as though he/she wasn’t involved is just ignorance. I like meat eaters confronting themselves with such content but just dismissing it right after watching it is something that is the core of why the vast majority of people is still acting that unethically. If he/she is considering such things why not put it more precisely than just “I’m not vegan”.
Frankfurt School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who’s to say that they aren’t going to eventually transition. It took me 3 years to wake up. I watched vegan youtubers for 3 years. I was that curious non vegan that found certain channels interesting and informative and one day it just all clicked in place.
This is what I love about Swayze’s channel. Few people change their lifestyles over night. I’m glad Swayze makes content that is enticing to vegans and non vegans alike.
What the hell 8s happening to youtube vegans? Freelee's somewhere in rhe jungle farming fruits and coconuts, meanwhile, Tim Schiff is eating animal products and believes the earth is flat.
"If you need to supplement," "maybe that's not the right diet for you." So instead of taking supplements, a pretty well established and effective "correction", let's eat animals. Cause yeah, that's so much better. Thank you for being a voice of reason, Swayze. I'm tickled at how your channel has grown and given a voice to the more sensible vegans.
I feel bad for her... Kalel just seems so lost. Desperation can make you believe crazy things, I guess. I really hope she finds her way back to veganism as it was one of her videos that made me go Vegan in 2016. But my god does she need to stop "doing research" and just see an MD and open her mind to actual science.
Doesn't she have almost all of the symptoms of breast implants poisoning? Not hating on her for having them, but they DO affect some people pretty badly.
Atticus Beaulieu My dietician actually recommended I get cast iron cookwear for the added dietary iron. It makes sense but it seems so wrong. Normally you really don’t want to consume little tiny pieces metal...
Jordie Madison yeah, it can be a little worrisome. But that’s why our bodies are pretty awesome, our liver and kidneys are really good at flushing out consumed metals out of our body. Plus our bodies in our base form have trace amounts of metal in them
@@willowashe I mean our bodies are literally made up of trace amounts of iron, zinc, copper, manganese etc which are all metals. We need these to function properly.
I’m aware of the function of minerals and electrolytes in the body. My point was that dietary iron and the microscopic fragments of a cast iron pan don’t seem like one in the same, but as far as the body is concerned, iron is iron. Thanks for explaining though, I actually appreciate it when people take the time to dispel ignorance :).
can you PLEASE do a video about nina and randa's diet....watched some of their videos recently and their diet is so concerning, especially when you think about their demographics
miranda panda so many people are realising they've made a mistake and sooner rather than later hopefully. The mental illness is a big symptom. Fingers crossed for Bonny Rebecca.
30:18 I think you're a little bit ill-informed regarding the microbiome. It is a relatively new field, but the NYTimes article quote you displayed is hugely misrepresentative of the current research. We don't know everything, there are flaws in experimental design and techniques are still on their way, but that article is misleading. Not arguing for Kalel or siding in any way, but just to highlight the microbiome research is a lot more established than you make it out to be... if felt a bit dismissive and even to a layperson it may seem as though you are brushing it under the rug along with pseudoscience (saying that, I'm not aware of any acne/gut problems but it sounds plausible. "proven" was a poor word choice here). It also sounded like there aren't doctors and research scientists, clinical nutritionists, immunologists etc who dedicate their life to microbiome research. It's not just quacks wanting to sell tests. I recently went to a gut-brain axis conference held in a microbiome science institute in the UK. The connection between gut microbes and brain function IS a new field, but that does not mean we know nothing. Not saying that what Kalel was right/wrong or that her attributing her problems to gut issues is right or wrong. She should explore psychiatry routes for her depression before eating yogurt. But at least be cognisant of the science and be aware of its validity. (that said, she's apparently got all these semi-legitimate test results back, but you can tell from her video she has not had medical guidance on what her action plan is. It seems the "famous doctor" who is advising her has blamed her veganism, and "carbs". It's honestly so sad to hear that she needs to give up "carbs" in order to heal her problem. I literally study carbohydrates and their effect on the microbiome, and while certain processed food can cause dysbiosis and insulin problems, she has been hugely mis-informed. There *are* ways to test the microbiome for the relative abundance of certain microbes, it's standard practice when analysing the microbiome of a gut, or soil. It's called 16S DNA analysis. If Kalel has "fungal overgrowth" (not a medical term) it could be a systemic fungal infection such as candidiasis; this is a serious condition. But clearly she does not have this, otherwise she would've mentioned her treatment plan, as Swayze says: antifungal medicines. Her "pathogenetic fungus" (think she means pathogenic...) spiel was so cringy. The only fungal infection I can think of that's even close to her skin symptoms is seborrhoeic dermatitis. Treatment: antifungals. And her misunderstanding of insulin and "carbs" is embarrassing at best, and dangerous at most. Wouldn't be surprised if she's been on keto blogs. Thanks for reading. Ps. I agree with the nefarious testing to give the illusion of being on the right track to being "fixed". But that does not invalidate microbiome research. Unfortunately, "quacks" can use legitimate research to take people's money and give them false hope.
Thank you for clarifying this, I too highly disagreed when she started discrediting the science behind the microbiome and how actually CRUCIAL it is to our health. I mean this is how I got rid of all my health problems ! I suffered a lot and once I took care of my dysbiosis + candida overgrowth which were ultimately the root causes, I could finally manage to absorb nutrients the way I was supposed to, and the simple act of eating was not a supplice anymore. Finally supplements worked since I could absorb them properly. And after a few months everything came back into balance.
I don't doubt for once second that she still loves animals and wants to continue being vegan, and health is important, so I get why she's doing what she is doing. However, her "spiritual, holistic, natural" approach bugs me, especially since she's like... seemingly pro science. In any case, I just want her to feel better and get better information
I honestly don’t believe Kalel is as interested in science as she thinks she is. She hasn’t done the hard work or spent hours in a lab. She’s the kind of person who goes on whims and then gets bored on moves on to something else. Right now it’s science, next year it’ll be something else.
lol I wouldn't mind if she hadn't been one of the biggest YTers to go on and on about how healthy she feels on a vegan diet... and she once was convinced/really hopeful that the WHOLE WORLD would go vegan in her lifetime. yikes, why so much drama?
Kalel hates veganism and the cause of saving animals, it's the only possibility. Otherwise she would simply say "by the way I'm not vegan anymore" and move on instead of making many videos about it and bashing veganism. She is anti-vegan in sheep's clothing.
Valken yep which is ironic, I used to look up to her when I just went vegan and now even though I never made ridiculous claims like she did I’m still vegan. Wish the ‘normal’ (eg swaize) vegans would be the voices in our movement rather than ppl who are just loud/outgoing. Makes me not even want to go to vegan events sometimes :(
Valken To be fair though she probably doesn’t hate the vegan cause but misunderstands other vegans frustration as them just hating on her (some always take it too far ofc)which like... she didn’t have to be the one so fucking public/pushy about her views in the first place! How she can just wave us off as being too critical is beyond me.
@@hopetherespudding The reason I say she hates the vegan cause is because I remember she did some videos about a tiny insect she was protecting and feeding, she made such a big deal of it you'd think she is an angel who cares about every single life on earth. But then, instead of eating mussels or perhaps even locally produced eggs, she goes straight to eating cows. Makes me think she never cared about any animal in the first place.
Valken Truue hadn’t remembered that. Maybe she likes the idea of presenting herself as an animal lover (eg working with peta, as you say not spending time to get a rescue chickens egg, heck even adopting a pet rather than buying a $$ purebreed) than actually putting in the extra work and quietly being an animal lover?
Angela Bordack well the way she looks is a large part of the reason she gets as many views and attention so yeah of course she will be invested in that. It is her livelihood. Your respect is irrelevant though
I asked her in the video, why she was searching for nutrition advice in medics (doctors) rather than nutritionists. She answered she was seeing "naturopathic doctor"
Andr3w066 you mean ever? i said ignorant which specifically means that she doesn’t consider the discussion when using the click bait title... not that there is a discussion within her video about gender
Yeah, she lost me at fungal overgrowth. I can kinda understand the eggs and stuff. Especially with depression. Prior to antidepressants I just couldn't regularly take the vitamin D supplement that my doctor told me to take. It was just a ~thing~ that took energy and I had to reserve most of that to work. But, adding a food is less effort in my depressions opinion. I already had to eat and had alotted brain space to doing that, changing what it is that I'm eating is less effort than adding another step (supplement). Yeah, it makes no logical sense. But I can sympathize with her on that one. Oil of oregano and low glycemic diet to fix a hormone issue, she loses me.
I know there's a lot to dig into in this video, but I want to touch on the carb issue. I'm diabetic, and see my endocrinologist regularly. To say the word "carbs" as if they are the enemy and only come packaged in one way is not correct. There are simple and complex carbs, which the body absorbs differently. Eating refined sugars and grains (simple carbs) might be a problem if you eat too much, but there's nothing wrong with eating miles of complex carbs (whole food carbs - veg, legumes, etc.). Eat all the vegetables! Broccoli is my favorite - lots of fiber and nutrients. There's also nothing wrong with enjoying fruits in their whole state. Have a juicy orange with all the fiber. It's good for you. Your body needs carbs to function! So this whole "carbs are bad" thing is just nonsense. Even some refined carbs here and there are not "bad."
I think her microbiome was wrecked not because of her vegan diet(junk food or not) but more likely accutane and then multiple surgeries that I assume she took antibiotics for. I don’t really understand why she’s against supplementation I take iron(I have anemia) zinc and lysine and for me (anecdotally, of course) changed so much for me for the better. I actually credit lysine for curing my hormonal cystic acne oddly enough. I pray her breast and chin implants aren’t making her sick. I’ve heard some people’s accounts of implant related illnesses and it sounds awful.
I used to have iron deficiency anemia while following a standard american diet. I learned that dairy was inhibiting my body's ability to absorb iron so since going vegan I have no longer had any issues!
Calcium has been shown to inhibit iron intake in the short term. The one time I had anemia from a period that would never end my doctor told me to take calcium and iron as far apart as possible. So now I eat my iron rich and calcium rich sources at different times of the day. I am very happy that I only had the issue once because it sucks. The research is kind of fuzzy on what levels and proximity to each other causes the issues, but it is clear that there is an issue. Anyways here's the Mayo Clinic article. www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/iron-supplement-oral-route-parenteral-route/precautions/drg-20070148
melissa cabrera not only did it cause my iron deficiency anemia but I was on prescription medication for severe menstrual cramps and accutane for cystic acne. Have no longer had to take prescription medication for any of these issues since cutting out dairy! 🙌🏻
ALICE OLIVIA like Melissa said you could have a legitimate allergy I guess but commercial milk is really bad. It is full of antibiotics and hormones so it is no surprise you were having hormonal issues
I have an autoimmune disease. I eat whatever I feel like without planning. I forget my vitamins more days than I remember. I have been vegan for 3 years. This time of year my vitamin D levels drop significantly and I have to go to my DOCTOR and they prescribe me a supplement and I take it until Spring. Like, every experience is SO different but these blanket statements piss me off.
When I lived in Alaska, as a meat eater I still needed 4000 IU during the winter and 2000 IU during the summer of Vitamin D per day. However, Vitamin D is an animal hormone that is found in meat, eggs, and dairy solely. A vegan will have a deficiency a lot easier. No way around this.
@@Re3iRtH > Vitamin D is an animal hormone that is found in meat, eggs, and dairy solely. Why would you lie about this? There are plenty of vegan sources of vitamin D.
@@Re3iRtH humans make vitamin D through UV exposure, just like other animals do. If you're a person who lives in an area that doesn't get proper UV exposure (especially darker people), then you should probably supplement. I'm in Chicago, and I supplement in the winter with a *vegan* supp. You don't have to eat animals for that. Also some feedlot operators have to give their dairy cows & beef cattle vitamin d3 supps as well, if they don't get enough UV exposure. Vitamin is the sun hormone.
@@Re3iRtH Firstly, are you going to admit you lied? You claimed vitamin D was solely the domain of animal products, not D3 (which isn't anyway) but D, broadly, which is a lie. Secondly, some sources of vitamin D3, specifically, that are 100% vegan: the sun, Mykind vitamin D3 spray, Vitashine Vegan D3 supplement, Nordic Naturals D3 spray, Country Life Vegan D3, Doctor's Best Vegan3, etc. They extract it, as cholecalciferol, not ergocalciferol, that's D2, from lichens. So why did you feel the need to make a comment where you're now in the corner of blatantly lying or being so lazy you didn't bother a Google search?
She may be realizing what it feels like to get older. I'm her age and was worried I was super sick. Nope. Your body just slowly starts sucking eventually. She's just always been Vegan so she probably correlates these things together.
I'm literally the same age as her too. But I'm not worried about this kinda stuff... MOSTLY because I've had a 'hormone imbalance' my whole life and the only thing that alleviates the symptoms is having a consistent diet and exercise routine. D:
I'm in my 50's now and can confirm - your body ages and it just starts to suck at some point. You have to do what you can to feel your best, but the majority of us are not going to be perfectly healthy as we age.
Good grief ladies, this is depressing. I am 66 and I feel just as good as I did in my twenties. Better in some ways because I was anaemic back then and had acne. I supplement oestrogen or I really would feel ill but other than that I have no issues. In fact I just took up running. Getting older does not have to mean aching body parts and low energy. Work out consistently and eat a lot of high nutrient foods and cook at home. Get as much sleep as you truly need and act swiftly to remove stress. I felt frigging amazing in my thirties.
The one supplement that is a must for any vegan is B12. Cyanocobalamin is the cheapest and best studied form of B12. So that's what I take and what Unnatural Vegan recommends.
TeleTrans 1 I take the other form of b12, is it bad or something? The one you mentioned isn’t available at the pharmacy here. I take the methylcobalamin one.
Sarah Prescott it really depends on your diet. If you are meeting 100% of your nutrient needs sans supplements, great. Most western people could benefit from including a modest multi (as in containing 50 to 100% of the RDA as opposed to 500% ). I have recommended the iron free deeva tiny tablets to many of my clients.
You can take cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin at the same time to be sure, it's not overkill as this is very important and almost impossible to overdose. Humans need all vitamins, go to Cronometer and check yours, it's free.
I don't understand how she can preach and want to be "natural" when she has had so much collagen injected into her and surgery. I can say from experience I know many girls who have had all of these procedures and they all have health issues and funny enough iron deficiencies. These procedures are relatively new and don't have long term studies and these girls don't seem to realise that having repeat surgeries is going to put a lot of stress on your body and of course cause issues. She literally had two nose jobs, a boob job, veneers, chin implants and countless amounts of filler and botox over two years. Not to mention the antibiotics after surgery(I don't think antibiotics are bad they are necesarry of course but taking them a lot like kalel will have is probably what could have contributed to the fungal issues she has- IF she actually has any we don't know for sure) Also kalel was on accutane which I imagine caused a lot of her issues such as dry skin. It's the same thing with Tim shieff, he was jumping off buildings for years yet blames veganism for his body aching 😕 also I have been watching kalel for years and I have noticed a lot of personality traits I share with her. She is very introverted and seems to isolate herself alone and spends her time researching and in her own head +the youtube job allows her to work from home. I am in the exact same situation and I have struggled a lot with depression. I can't imagine how lonely kalel is after breaking up with her boyfriend as I know her family lives in a different state and she doesn't seem to have any close friends. I really hope she gets the help she needs and seeks it from a proffesional not from all of this crazy pseudo science stuff.
Thank you for constantly being the voice of reason in the vegan community. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still watch your videos and they always leave me with some food for thought. Maybe I will go vegan again in the future ❤️
I can relate to her frustrations of being unhealthy. Yet, it makes no sense why an ethical vegan would so quickly go to meat and eggs instead of HRT and supplements. Why is she so scared of medical treatment for her hormones? She's had a slew of plastic surgery done.... I don't understand how HRT and vitamins are the less optimal options here.
I have the highest levels of iron I've ever had in my life after being 3 years vegan. Why? Because I focus on eating iron rich foods (with vitamin C) and take a supplement maybe 1-2 times a week if I feel like I'm lacking iron-rich foods that day. I was anemic at multiple times in my life when I was a meat-eater because I even though I ate meat, I didn't eat enough or pay attention to iron-rich foods. I work in healthcare and see many patients with iron-deificeny anemia who eat meat/aren't vegan. The whole iron scare drives me crazy.. it really comes down to paying attention to what you eat and knowing what your body needs. SO many plant foods have iron if you are just mindful of what you're eating. Meat-eaters have to be mindful of what they're eating as well, because even if they eat meat they can still risk deficiencies. Sorry, I'll end my rant now.
Because of Kalel’s video I got scared about my own diet and started logging it in chronometer for a few days. I meet 95-100% of my targets daily and there’s not much at all to worry about. All I found out is that I should really be taking a vitamin D supplement during fall and winter.
That's the exact way i discovered i had anxiety and panic disorder. I had some skin issues, brain fog and immediately was like "oh my god i have to be deficient in something, I feel like I'm going to die". I started obsessing over my diet until it consumed me. Went to the doctor, turns out I just need some B12 and a therapist. And she has said herself she has some form of ocd, so I feel like people are being a bit too harsh with her. She just needs some solid advice and therapy.
If people want good info on the gut and digestion they should check out "The Good Gut" by the Sonnenburg's - they are researchers at Stanford University. And no, the book doesn't promote a vegan diet but they advocate whole plant foods and discourage meat and dairy consumption. I've had stomach issues for years, both before veganism and after. I was told to try all sorts of diets for food allergies and candida etc. but none of them worked. The only thing that has helped is a LOW FODMAP diet prescribed to me by my neurologist and gastroenterologist. The digestive system is complex and so many things can go wrong with it. Many conditions are defined as syndromes because we don't have enough info on what causes these problems or how to diagnose them. You can't say blanket statements like "carbs are bad" it's just not true and it's not true for every digestive issue. Even for me, someone who has to avoid certain carbs, they are still not all bad for me and it would be unhealthy for me to cut them all out. Stomach issues are tough to sort out and I hope everyone can find the answers they need, but I hope they try to remain educated because that is the only way you will find those answers, I know this from experience.
How do you know if supplements work? I learned that they arent controlled by any entity, and anyone could sell anything and call it suplements. Could you make a video on suplements? Going trough studies and justifying that suplements actually work, which ones work and what to look for when you want to buy a suplement.
The thing that I found most frustrating about her videos was how she referred to vegans as "those vegan" and about "vegan propaganda." Honey, you were a vegan and an ethical one at that, it's as though the movement meant nothing to her anymore. I understand that she has has health issues and is scared (I've had my own this year so I can 100% relate), which makes people turn their backs on their beliefs, but for her to so easily turn her back on a movement that she was so passionate about and separate herself from "those vegans" made me sad :(
It's insane to do that. I am disapointed. I would never NEVER thought that Kalel will eat animals 😱 the way she was passionated about them.....I mean.....awful.
This was the saddest one for me! Kamel was one of the main people I watched back in 2010 or so that inspired me to go vegan, and I feel like they are dropping like flies! This was my first foray into not trusting internet bloggers - clearly they will preach something while it “works for them” and then give it up when it’s convenient.
If you feel like crap maybe you should see a freaking doctor or dietitian or both. I can understand if you can't see one, but if you have the ability to do so it's probably the only way make sure that you actually address the problem. She could have a legitimate medical issue and foregoing real treatment may actually kill her. It's sad, scary, and absolutely preventable or treatable.
Honestly, naturopaths cost an arm and a leg. They ALWAYS get you to buy non trad supplements that aren't covered by insurance. Every time you visit them, they tell you to take another one, till you're taking 20 things a day. And they conveniently sell them right at their office! I've had a lot of family members fall for this trap. They take so many supplements, they're not even hungry for food anymore.
It's just so sad. If they have the money or insurance to see real medical professionals they really should. I am not going to say real medical treatments are easy or side effect free, but they work. I have chronic conditions and it sucks. The treatments are expensive and the side effects are annoying as fuck, but they work for the most part. However, when I see people who have the means to see real doctors and choose to see quacks I don't know rather I should be mad or sad. I know so many people who have to rely on the internet and other sources that suck because they don't have a way to see a doctor or afford prescription drugs. I know she probably doesn't think she's hurting people by spreading psuedoscience but she is and it's insulting to people who can't get real help.
Hey there! 🇹🇹🇬🇧 Not only do you talk sense, you look amazing! A great advert for a vegan lifestyle! Thanks for all the research you do and the videos you put out: saves the rest of us so much time! Peace and blessings from Trinidad and the UK! (I'm currently in TT with family, but live in London)
I had a psychiatrist tell me that I was so tired because I was vegan and I was like "sure, I will eat animal products if you can tell me exactly what I'm missing in more detail than 'meat'" and he was like "uhhh" and I was like "yeah okay we're good. Meds, please"
If he said “you should start eating animal products again,” then yes its an issue -if he was aiming for you speaking to a dietician to check that you are meeting nutrient needs or getting the right supplements, then he isn’t wrong.
To clarify: I have spoken to a dietician, I am not (to my knowledge) deficient in anything other than a mild iron deficiency (TIBC was high, but ferritin and hemoglobin in normal ranges; I started to supplement), I take a multivitamin daily, etc. The symptoms I was describing were present before I was ever vegan and are attributable to my (again, pre-vegan) depression, ADHD, and autism.
Good Night yes same here. Totally healed harsh mental health issues (suicidal depression and sky high anxiety plus myriad other issues including being bedridden) by eating nutrient dense foods finally. Wholefood Vegetarianism then Veganism totally destroyed me. I'm now a health coach specialising in helping people who're struggling in a similar way. The difference in my health now and then is absolutely black and white. Supplements certainly did not help. So grateful for knowledge and experience 💙
24:35 I disagree. What is the doctor not supposed to tell her? “Hmm testosterone levels are off... not gonna tell the patient.” Like if a patient has cancer or diabetes or even a low iron level the doctor has to tell the patient. Maybe I did not understand what you meant there that the doctor is an “asshole” for being open and honest about the patient? Regardless great video 👍🏼
Honestly, I truly believe she's not a bad person. She has some serious psychological issues and needs help. Also, she probably also needs to get out the implants, they're making thousands of women sick (including me, but I am still vegan and supplement.). I really hope the best for her.
Thank you, lovely! I had them for almost 15 years now. I already have an appointment with a surgeon in my area and will have taken them out as soon as possible. Greetings from Vienna!
Hi, Melissa, aw - thank you so much and thanks for stopping by on my channel - you made my day! I will definitely document it. My issues cause by the implants are not so severe (fortunately), but I still it will be helpful for many women. Sending much love!
Thank you for saying that about isolation causing depression. I wen't for quite awhile after moving from my friends and family where I was so sad. Although I had my boyfriend, that was pretty much it. It took going back to school for me to start to feel better, hearing it from you makes me more compassionate towards my past self. You're the best.
I'm not even a vegan (yet) and I LOVE this video!! You are such an articulate speaker and I'm excited to be a new subscriber :) I totally love your perspective on "natural" vs. "unnatural," especially with this whole deterministic fallacy that our bodies are "designed" to do or be ANYTHING! Also, so much of the food we eat is fortified with vitamins anyway during processing that if anyone doesn't want to take supplements (I don't simply because I don't think they're necessary and the industry is massively unregulated -- at least big pharma spends money on research and development, big supplement just pockets it all themselves lol) you honestly don't need to! Vegans may need to supplement B12 but that's literally it... if we were so vitamin deficient, we'd see diseases like scurvy and rickets all the time, but we don't because we're all getting sufficient vitamins from our diets regardless of which diet we choose to follow for the most part! Supplements just create really expensive urine in my opinion... but back to the topic at hand, I'll be damned if she's actually deficient in anything. And you make perfect points, just eat some peanut butter or lentils or peas! But so many grain products are fortified with zinc, lysine, etc. so I think the deficiency claims are bogus...
only through watching your videos have i realized that my mom actually had me (quite extensively) treated for "fungal overgrowth" when i was 4 years old. i remember a month of not being allowed to eat any fruit, sugar or dairy or even be in the same room as bread because it apparently "goes into the air" or some shit. i know she meant well and just trusted in what she was told so i've never brought it up but it does feel strange looking back.
Kalel's whole argument for eating meat is BS in my opinion...she's got this supposed huge concern about taking supplements, but as you point out, wouldn't she have been supplementing B12 this whole time? Not to mention, I've watched Kalel's videos for years and she's never had this weird aversion to supplements before...and I'm not even referencing only older vids...for goodness sake, the woman literally posted an apartment tour video DAYS before announcing she's eating meat again, and in that video, she's got a collection of at least 10 bottles of SUPPLEMENTS on her kitchen counter. Like what?!?! It's just baffling. I have given Kalel the benefit of the doubt for a long time but I truly think her main problem is an ongoing mental health issue and really wish she would seek professional help for that before going on another extreme diet or fixing her problems with cosmetic surgery. It's sad to watch at this point. Anyhow thanks for the content
This video encapsulates everything I've been feeling about her videos. I've switched off watching most "youtube vegans" because a lot of them jumped on it as the quick fix, I'm a social media influencer now attitude. She was right on the collagen and gelatine train - it was easy for me to unsubscribe.
I've been vegan on and off for a long time but in the last two years, my IBS has been out of control and my digestion is awful. Subsequently, because plant-based foods are high in fiber and fodmaps, it has been so so difficult to stay vegan. I can't eat too many veg in one sitting, or too many fruit. My stomach doesn't really tolerate soy or beans and its left me feeling so restricted and helpless. And I know we've talked about ibs and veganism before but I guess pure veganism is just not really suited for me at the moment. I'm still mostly plant-based and hopefully in the future I will find the underlying cause for my health problems and be able to return to being fully plant-based but its just not pragmatic for now. I guess the point of me saying this is that I feel really guilty that I can't maintain this lifestyle but I have struggled for so long and been so afraid to do anything else and I guess if anyone is in the same boat, I feel you. I love this channel because its so much more accepting and factual and it is just kind of reassuring.
For me its not just bloating though. I will get cramps so bad I end up in hospital. I get nausea. I get severe distention. When they ultra sound me, they cant see anything because of bowel shadow. I have become so pale, weak, and generally awful, I can't live a regular life anymore. I get constipation and fecal impaction, as well as bouts of diarrhea and its not a simple, eat more fiber and drink more water situation. I have no quality of life anymore.
The truth is, many people try plant base diet and many are done with it, feeling more happy going back to a traditional diet. No matter their reasons, real or imaginary, they get fed up with the efforts needed to make it work, get fed up with beans and rice and sweet potato, fed up with the supplements, chronometer etc. The thing is, in the end people will do what they want no matter how many advice and solution can be offered.
Super insightful. I started following you a year before Kalel. While she was vegan I was thinking she ate a crappy vegan diet. You’ve brought a lot of light and hope to her unfortunate choices.
Well....i'm a high carb low fat vegan (not cause of the diet-thing but just because that is what i instinctively eat) I just did a 2 day bloodsugar measuring day (not for any reason other than just wanting to know, im not a diabetic or anything) my sugar levels are consistantly low (4.2 to 6.1 one hour after eating) so low to no carbs being necesarry for low bloodsugar is BS.
I have type 2 diabetes, have had acne, hormonal issues and digestive issues. BUT, being vegan, properly medicating, working out AND not using toxic products actually saved me. Anyways bad to share.
Type 2 diabetes is reversible through diet. Try eating only fats and no carbs for the first half of the day, avocado, coconut, nuts, greens, etc. Should get your fasting blood glucose to normal levels in no time.
I've been diagnosed with PCOS for years, and I had high testosterone compared to my estrogen and my doctor still never told me my "testosterone was equivalent to a _____ man." Like wtf!?
Hey Swayze, do you have any vegan doctors that you find pretty credible? Dr. Greger seems to promote a fairly balanced, reasonable, vegan diet but I'd love to hear your take on the most popular vegan doctors
@@mycolouralchemy1259 yes, i have. Do you have some issue with him? I never said I follow him religiously, but I like that he believes in doing your best rather than being perfect. He has made recommendations of what to get at places like Chipotle and Taco Bell because he doesn't expect people to be eating salads and smoothies all day everyday. No vegan doctor is perfect, but I appreciate that he shows research when he presents a claim and isn't all about being crazy strict with eating clean
I love your channel! You always come with the cold hard facts! I have such a soft spot in my heart for natural remedies but sometimes facts are facts and there’s stuff that I don’t want to believe but I know they are true and I love how you always just lay it down on the line!
A junk food diet is not a high carb diet, it's fairly balanced between macros. The problem is that it is composed of refined carbs and fats. The carb-fobia is so infuriating!
I’ve been watching kalel since I was a teen and she’s just such an anxious bird. Every few months I’ll binge watch her videos and I feel like watching them back to back just shows how frantic she is and how she always thinks there’s something wrong w her. I guess maybe that’s an OCD thing? Like her thinking that she needed new teeth or a new nose are just some examples of how it seems like she gets in her head and worries about problems that don’t exist
I'm so against online bullying but there are so many things I want to say to Kalel. Biting my tongue. Ugh. She's probably still taking other supplements. And using a packaged up piece of animal seems like a "supplement" to me. I'm just so over her. She needs to go see a professional and stop trying to diagnose and cure herself. Ugh. Unsubscribed from her bs.
I started my veganism journey to lose weight back in 2014. I lost weight rapidly. I eat 80% carbs. I eat a lot of vegan junk food. Over the past 4 years, my veganism journey, rather than for superficial reasons, has continued and grown into a passion because it made me aware of the reality of the dairy industry, the meat industry, the environment and the pain and hurt that meat and dairy based products causes. Before, currently and probably in the present I will still have acne. I will still have low iron, and I will still have many common health problems because I AM A HUMAN AND NO DIET CAN CHANGE THAT. Anyone who becomes vegan to cure their acne or to grow long healthy thick hair or any other immaculate “miracle” is delusional and unrealistic. She is using excuses because she was never a true vegan. I take iron supplements, I get a b12 shot regularly, I take many other vitamins (vit D, zinc etc), even BEFORE I was vegan. Please don’t think any diet, including veganism is a miracle cure to every issue whether it be health, cosmetic, and more. Do it and commit to it but be realistic. I’m not a crazy preacher, but I also despise people who go vegan, act like they are super passionate about it and then revert and put blame on veganism. Also, I am not attacking any meat eaters, including Kalel. I just want people who are maybe curious about becoming vegan to be realistic and know that it is not a miracle, it is simply an incredible, healthy and ethical way to enjoy your life and live without hurting animals or the environment. Much love
Well said
In a previous video she also mentioned supplementing with turmeric... so it's even weirder to be okay with that, but not with supplementing B12. :/
My thoughts exactly. Take the dam supplements!
Use them.
she actually takes b12 supplements. shows it in her what i eat in day videos.
Kalel: "Carbs are not your friend."
_My poor mitochondria, just trying to do their job:_ 😥
I cant have many carbs, thanks to my Hashimoto's disease and hypothyroidism. Enjoy these carbs! I miss them.
Well, yeah. Carbs are not your friend.
Carbs are your food.
She self proclaimed she had these things. She never went to a doctor to be diagnosed lol
@@sharilton
I do remember a video where she say she went to a therapist or psychiatrist and she was diagnosed with OCD.
kira sussane yes let’s believe the compulsive liar 🤔. I find it hard to believe it’s true especially when she’s lied most of her career on TH-cam
@@sharilton nah, I do believe she was diagnosed with OCD because I remember her saying she stopped going to therapy basically right after getting diagnosed and that's completely in line with her behaviours.
everyone: kalel have you looked into breast implant illness or possible side effects of your surgery
her: yall hear summm?
hahahahahahah I'm dyingggg
She said in her video comments she been feeling this way before the implants... it’s most likely her chin implant before her titties
High Kitty omfg what the heck are chin implants?? 😧
THIS HAHAHAH omg

For some reason I read the thumbnail as “cats are the devil” rather than carbs and was really confused waiting for the cat part of the video to come

Sis I read it as Crabs
Lol 🤣🤣🤣
How tf can someone who has implants be against supplements cuz they aren't natural!!! That makes no sense!!! Get rid of your implants!!! Mine made me so sick! That could be her issue. I mean, she has the money to get new ones if that doesn't work. But many women fall ill to implants
Yess I agree. Hope she looks into breast implant illness.
Implant Illness is becoming such a common occurrence there needs to be more education on the risks.
Ummm... not to mention her meat is taking supplements!
i never knew that implants could make someone sick! wow! that sounds like something she should definitely look into
Oh shoot....
Emily Mutchler so? She doesn’t want to take supplements and rather eat animals. Where is the problem?
Andr3w066 there’s a lot of problems with eating animals
Emily Mutchler in your eyes yes
Andr3w066 it’s ok you haven’t made the connection yet
@@veggypeggy6252 they are animals they feel. ok so? they are also food for us. The same way they feed on other animals.
You got me, I'm becoming a patreon. The research and work you put into your content is wild.
same here!
I would never NEVER thought that Kalel will eat animals again 😱 the way she was passionated about them, protected them, cried for them.....I mean.....it's insane
lea vaudevire she’s never been vegan in her makeup or anything so it’s not that surprising. Her appearance has always been number 1
Well Kalel is insane, so...
She’s mentally ill
You can guarantee because of what you say? Ok doctor
Carbs are my only friends.
Oh god I'm so alone.
Whole carbs are good friends, refined carbs are bad company.
Me too!
Hey I'll be your friend, I love carbs 😬
Here, take a cookie!
I also think it’s about how she WANTS to eat meat and dairy again but “needs a good reason” for it so she doesn’t get as much hate 🤦🏻♀️
agreed
Her symptoms sound like it could be related to breast implant illness. Karissa Pukas had a really good video about her experience.
Tiara Burton I thought the same thing, very ironic since she refuses to supplement because it’s unnatural lol
Tiara Burton and many of us have commented that but she’s too vain and only cares about the narrative she’s spewing to actual address that
Exactly my thought!
Tiara Burton BII is very pseudoscientific too though
They also sound like poly-cystic ovary syndrome
So grateful for your unique voice on TH-cam. When so many other vegans start/stop at "YOU'RE NOT VEGAN WAHH," you present such better arguments. Obviously, we're not happy about someone dropping veganism, but we need to make a case for this that meets them at their level of discontent in the diet/lifestyle. You do this so well.
I care more about animals than what’s ”natural”. Nothing is really that natural anymore anyways lol If I need to take a few supplements to stay vegan, I’ll do that
melissa cabrera almost 3 years, without meat I’ve been for 9 years
@melissa cabrera new vegetarian here. If you dont mind me asking, what was the reason why you chose to go back to an omnivore diet?
@melissa cabrera Thank you for sharing your story 😊 Will look into everything you shared
@melissa cabrera What was it about the salmon that helped if you don't mind me asking? Since Omega-3 can also be supplemented even using salmon fish oil capsules
@melissa cabrera You can supplement with vegan omega 3s. They have been proven to increase omega 3 levels in the body.
Normal humans require confirmation from other humans to feel validated and like their life has meaning.
It's pretty silly.

Working in the pharmacy, I see half the neighborhood come in for vitamin supplementation in their prescription doses. And none of them are vegan.
Exactly! Vitamin supps have been a huge industry for years, and not because of vegans.

James Cunningham wow thanks for sharing your story. i’m moved.
Her hormones and digestion are out of whack due to years of Accutane, cosmetic surgeries including breast implants) and therefore probably antibiotics constantly prescribed). She’s worried that taking supplements isn’t “natural” but gets implants???
patty 8873 dont forget her 2 nose jobs
I know she is spreading a lot of shit but I think this is all really tied up in her fight with her OCD. I think she's genuinely believing this stuff as she just tries to cope with everything. I hope she is able to find healing.
Could not agree more.
Agree. She's started spending hours observing samples of her "findings" under a microscope and honestly, so many of these behaviours sound like it's her OCD
catherine serendipity I agree 💜
She might want to watch karissa pukas’ video on breast implant illness
Kalel cannot stay focused on any one thing. Everything she starts she abandons half way through
Honestly this was my last straw with kalel.
Like....I honestly think she’s lost it.
lol she took bio 101 in a community college ( no shade ) and thinks she's a scientist. Also! the fact that she bought a microscope just killed me.
o l yes I agree.
Or at least is appears that way.
you pretty much described my story with her to a T.
Am I the only one who immediately thought about the lysine video from 3 years ago(!!!) that addressed youtubers including Kalel on this issue? Anyway, thanks for the video, very instructive as always.
Yes I remembered it too! I buy lots of lentils because of that

the Robin Saying “I’m not vegan” nonchalantly in this context as though he/she wasn’t involved is just ignorance.
No he's vegan again
Charles Swedenburg oh god no. He's a masochist. Or succumbing to the haters.
@@mycolouralchemy1259 lol how?
"If you need to supplement," "maybe that's not the right diet for you." So instead of taking supplements, a pretty well established and effective "correction", let's eat animals. Cause yeah, that's so much better.
Thank you for being a voice of reason, Swayze. I'm tickled at how your channel has grown and given a voice to the more sensible vegans.
She makes such a big deal out of an iron supplement she probably never even tried.
That funny part is, most people eating animal products have to take a multi anyway because people aren’t meting their nutrient needs anyway.
you sound mad
@@ChandaurRoshini ikr as if people who eat a "standard diet"would not supplement at all? either that or they're taking medication

Not hating on her for having them, but they DO affect some people pretty badly.
just the title of her video is a big yikes

'My body can perfectly diagnose what I'm feeling' THO
A big reason Southerners had slightly less rates of iron deficiency during the Depression is actually cast iron pans.
I have too much iron, never fry anything. All sorts of strange blood results after being vegan for 1 1/2 yrs.
can you PLEASE do a video about nina and randa's diet....watched some of their videos recently and their diet is so concerning, especially when you think about their demographics
suripopje same, loved them when I was first going vegan but after educating myself more the stuff they promote really scares me
suripopje that guy uses Instagram like it’s twitter.
I notice Bonny Rebecca said in Kalels comments that she is struggling with the same thing. It’ll be interesting to see if Bonny stays vegan.
miranda panda so many people are realising they've made a mistake and sooner rather than later hopefully. The mental illness is a big symptom. Fingers crossed for Bonny Rebecca.
OMG you predicted the future

Oh, the foreshadowing...
LOL we all know how that turned out. Based on the timeline Bonny gave in her video she had already quit vegan at the time she wrote the comment.
Hey, interesting comment, thanks for sharing. 🙂
thanks for taking the time to write this! Very informative and makes me want to learn more.
She is so invested in the way she looks, she said she’d eat a raw animal. No respect for her.
She dumped a boyfriend because he was tarnishing her image and another because he wasn't 'intellectual' enough.
The thumbnail looks phenomenal though.
Angela Bordack well the way she looks is a large part of the reason she gets as many views and attention so yeah of course she will be invested in that. It is her livelihood. Your respect is irrelevant though
Its natural. Unlike taking fucking pills? Since when did my native people take pills(supplements)?? We hunt for our food, and still do.
To be fair she didn't do that because looks but because she felt she was dying.
I asked her in the video, why she was searching for nutrition advice in medics (doctors) rather than nutritionists. She answered she was seeing "naturopathic doctor"
Wow these naturopathic doctors are SUCH BS UGH
On a skeptic video they said that ND stands for "Not doctor" lol. Yea I don't trust naturopaths.

Ihopetherespudding because there is no discussion to be had.
why are you angry, wtf
I saw a bunch of response videos to her and yours is the only one I was interested in✨🙌💯
Yeah, she lost me at fungal overgrowth.

You must have been drinking the crappiest milk
Fox Marlie no different than the milk everyone else drinks haha.
melissa cabrera not only did it cause my iron deficiency anemia but I was on prescription medication for severe menstrual cramps and accutane for cystic acne.

@@Re3iRtH
> Vitamin D is an animal hormone that is found in meat, eggs, and dairy solely.
@@-ring-a-ding-my-dingaling D3? Name one. We don't want to rely on variable genetics to convert D2 from mushrooms.

Firstly, are you going to admit you lied?

Snutih after i turned 22 it started slowing down tbh
Good grief ladies, this is depressing. I am 66 and I feel just as good as I did in my twenties. Better in some ways because I was anaemic back then and had acne. I supplement oestrogen or I really would feel ill but other than that I have no issues. In fact I just took up running. Getting older does not have to mean aching body parts and low energy. Work out consistently and eat a lot of high nutrient foods and cook at home. Get as much sleep as you truly need and act swiftly to remove stress. I felt frigging amazing in my thirties.
Right like every morning now in my mid-thirties when I get up shit just aches for a bit cause, life! Lol
Can you make a video of what vitamins you think are worth investing in? I am afraid that more are just expensive pee.
@@witchf4ce310 I take cyano because it's the cheapest and best studied. I don't know if methyl is bad.
Not to mention the antibiotics after surgery(I don't think antibiotics are bad they are necesarry of course but taking them a lot like kalel will have is probably what could have contributed to the fungal issues she has- IF she actually has any we don't know for sure)
Also kalel was on accutane which I imagine caused a lot of her issues such as dry skin.
I mean, are we surprised?
It seems like she might have PCOS.
Gojiman's channel has a video on how to reverse pcos.

She did not see a real doctor, it was a naturopath (She mentioned it in the comments)
I love me some carbs
Bob Saget me too
The thing that I found most frustrating about her videos was how she referred to vegans as "those vegan" and about "vegan propaganda." Honey, you were a vegan and an ethical one at that, it's as though the movement meant nothing to her anymore.
Very sad. Desperation does a lot of damage to so many people. I hope one day she gets proper help. Good video.
I'm glad you made this because I could only watch 1 minute of her video .... and I've always liked her but lately shes all over the place
Yay !!! I was waiting for you to make a video about this 👍🏻
This is super interesting to me as someone that has nearly identical symptoms as Kalel.

“So ... apparently I’m a man” is just ... I don’t know. As a non-binary afab person with a trans man husband it feels upsetting
Every so often when I listen to Swayze I hear contrapoints
Love Contrapoints. Both Swayze and CP are super intelligent, love them for it.
I feel bad for Kalel, she’s probably getting bombarded with hate and death threats now..
It sounds like she has undiagnosed PCOS. Thinning hair, bad skin, high blood sugar, depression, etc.)
Anyone else thinking "hypochondriac much?"
I'm starting to think I might be iron deficient after listening to all the symptoms you mentioned 🤔 I think I'll get my levels checked
only through watching your videos have i realized that my mom actually had me (quite extensively) treated for "fungal overgrowth" when i was 4 years old. i remember a month of not being allowed to eat any fruit, sugar or dairy or even be in the same room as bread because it apparently "goes into the air" or some shit. i know she meant well and just trusted in what she was told so i've never brought it up but it does feel strange looking back.
I am always so happy to see a new video by you! :)
Which vegan multivitamin do you use normally?
@@valken666 slowly working on it
I've been diagnosed with PCOS for years, and I had high testosterone compared to my estrogen and my doctor still never told me my "testosterone was equivalent to a _____ man." Like wtf!?
Hey Swayze, do you have any vegan doctors that you find pretty credible? Dr. Greger seems to promote a fairly balanced, reasonable, vegan diet but I'd love to hear your take on the most popular vegan doctors
She has a video on finding credible vegan doctors. That's pretty helpful in that regard :)
Jack Norris and Jenny Messina ( I think that's how you spell it). Greger's not great for everything.
@@IMatchoNation I think those people are vegan dieticians. I could be wrong.
carliemichelle19 Dr Greger...have you seen him?!
I find so funny when people say bread or refined sugar is the same as fruit and greens. Maybe they're making excuses for their garbage diet?
Much love
