The variety of personal opinion is always something interesting to see. I was not a fan of your guests "stockist" era boots and generally preferred the newer simplistic but elegant designs. I don't see myself ever being in the market for the pricepoint of these but if I ever were I would love a tan roughout pair.
I think there is a mistake in the visual for the video at 9:49. I am pretty sure the leather being compared to the Maryam leather is not a "non-patinaed" Maryam leather but a Shinki oiled Horsebutt.
Wonderful boots. I own two pairs. I treat them badly, but they still look great. I’m not sure Viberg reinvented the service boot, though. Crockett and Jones Coniston has been around since the 90s.
you mean blkbrd? blubird is like a brand that's ripping them off haha I have a visit to blkbrd's factory coming up it's almost ready! just gotta get the Hindi subtitled :)
Here I am in my early 20's with a few pair of Grant Stone and Truman and not being out of college yet and wanting to expand my collection. I can't wait until I can afford some other pieces in my collection. Definitely a hobby and passion for life.
@@federalagent7334 it's SO nice when you can keep expanding your collection and finding what really works for you. Right now I'm crazy about big round toes like Oak Street and Munson lasts, I fear I'm going to tumble into barefoot boot land soon!
@@Stridewisecheck GEA shoes. I have Phenix. Fun stuff. They are no heel shoes but more overbuilt than barefoot stuff. Im mixing those with Redwings, GS and Vibergs in my little collection
I'm in England, was shocked at the price of them here, same price range as proven heritage brands Crockett and Jones and Trickers, in some cases dearer. C and J and Trickers are the best a man can get in that price point.
Did you know about workboot.com, Viberg's work line? Looks like a lot are still made in Canada! workboot.com/collections/viberg/products/hunter-9-insulated-caulk-boot
@@Stridewise is there a single boot on that site in stock? I find it hard to believe Brett would let anyone use the Viberg name to make boots somewhere else
looks like that's just for clothing, not shoes? If we can broaden that to footwear though, I'd allow it. Above all Ticho is a hustler and a wheeler/dealer haha
It's blooker. Because that is the correct pronunciation in German, it's the name of the German general for whom the shoe was made. And yes, it is Shammy.
I cant believe ur calling that a "blucher" after affan from bridlen properly explained what bluchers are 🤦♂️ i see u corrected in the video but still kinda hilarious 🤣
Hey don't miss this two-pair Viberg review I spent 5 years working on, which also features Ticho! th-cam.com/video/tT9gNZT3UfA/w-d-xo.html
whole cut service boot is wild

Awesome interview and awesome boots. Just got my first pair. I have to say those charcoal camel roughouts are just beautiful.
Omg. I love the editing! More of this. Some bits are hilarious!
how amazing was that animation hahahah
Yes. More of this. I got to say. Your editing is getting much better!

Hi Nick , Can you do a review of BLUBRD boots. I have been waiting for that video since soooooo long.

@@StridewiseSorry my bad 😅😅😅. I actually meant BLKBRD
I wish I would’ve discovered heritage boots in my early 20’s ! Better late than never. Now In my 30’s I’ll never go back to sneakers ever again ! 👍

Hey check out the full review for a more thorough explanation of Viberg's price: th-cam.com/video/tT9gNZT3UfA/w-d-xo.html
I wish Viberg made an 8" service boot. CXL, Dainite, 8" shaft, take my money.
hahah i find it hard to envision such a tall boot that isn't a moc toe, but i guess other PNW brands do it!
Another Viberg video!
They don't get as many views as Red Wing and Thursday videos but by god Viberg is an important brand and needs to be documented!
Personally I wish Viberg still made work boots( they do in the Dominican)

I would call him a Haberdasher. Our would you call yourself that ? Or both?

i did correct it haha - I think I filmed this before I went to India and got schooled!
Where's ariat in all this? For cowboy boots
This is a video about Viberg, a brand that is not Ariat
@ sure thing, are you gonna be reviewing Ariat anytime soon? Or is it even worthy of a review?
@@VivekSingh-hy1dkprob no lmao 😂
I think Rose Anvil has looked at Ariat and they aren't bad from what I remember.
@@VivekSingh-hy1dk I actually have their Wexfords that have been on my to-review list for AGES, I'll get to them!
