Followed this video and the other 'rookie mistake videos' to replace the belts on my Dad's KX 650 that had stopped working. Really helpful and entertaining. Only thing I'd say to anyone else doing this is that the auto stop/tape movement sensors on this deck are optical, the black/white segments on the cassette drives are what trigger the sensors. On my dad's deck the small band had totally rotted away and all the black gunk had completely covered the black/white segments and the sensor on the under side of the circuit board at the top. Make sure you give all these a really good clean with isopropyl.
Jel Beogradski ili Vojvođanski, živeo sam i tamo i vamo, a znam i bosanski :) Sada sam se vratio u Srbiju, možda bude još videa ko zna ! Hvala na gledanju

@@cheapoldhifi me too last night :)
Any idea what this belt is doing. Because I have several decks KX-650 and KX-930 and some of them were working but the belt was missing at all.
That is strange, most of the time it'll be used for transport, like rewind and fforward, not for play. But, it's needed to engage the Play or Record.
Are you originally maybe from Serbia?
Yes, correct!
Prepoznajem akcenat 😁
