This is just the right the material to listen to while commuting from home to the office, or where ever. Calm, collected and professional narration with highly interesting material that is obviously well-researched. In the sea of dramatic, hyperactive adhd material these are real gems. Well done, Sir, thoroughly enjoyed and subscribed!

All of Mark Felton's work is both fascinating and instructive. Educators everywhere can take an invaluable lesson by his method of teaching military history--a curriculum which opens the door to learning others such as political science, sociology, geography, mathematics, and physics.

When I was a kid, I watched “World at War” series. It is pretty good, but lacks detail as it covers the whole of WW2. Mark not only fills in the details, he gives details that nobody else does. Also with footage and pictures most have never seen. I find the commentary to be accurate and impartial to the point of being somewhat controversial at times. Good work! This is the best source of history at this time.

@@keefymckeefface8330 You just reduced an entire country comprised of people - with history and culture going back to before the arrival of Indo-Europeans - to a single conflict that lasted three months. That seems unfair and even undermines the point you're trying to make. That said, the Laplands War is a topic I'm surprised Mark Felton hasn't covered. The Finns want a way out of the war and the Soviets give them an ultimatum - expel the Germans stationed in the country. The Germans resist and thus the Finns and the Germans, just prior allies, fight in the far North of the country.
There's a sign that German soldiers left behind - a pretty striking image - that says "In Thanks for NOT Demonstrating Brotherhood in Arms!" A very naïve but understandable sentiment. Funny thing, the Laplands War actually lasted longer than the Winter War that's become such a meme. Eventually, all of Germany's European allies had to bend the knee and change sides. People forget this.

Mark I am so impressed with your research and clear delivery. I wonder how the world would be today if Germany never existed. I remember the war as if it was yesterday!

Is it possible to get an episode on Hans Conrad Julius Reiter (actually related to me). A member of the SS and a doctor who discovered Morbus Reiter (an arthritis that my sister has - the irony). I know he was in Buchenwald and tried at Nurenberg. Would be nice to get your view on it. Cheers

I actually suffer from it also, x past 6 yrs- bummer for sure. We no longer call it “Reiter’s Disease”, dropped the Nazi, it’s now known as Reactive Arthritis. Very rare Autoimmune condition estimated only 20,000 cases thruou entire U. S. A. 😑. I sincerely wish the Best Of Life for your precious Sister.

Susan Bengston Thank you Susan, thats kind of you to say. Yes i did read that they removed the Reiter prefix due to his nazi past. Amazing how you can be a medical professional, do real scientific work and still be a part of a pseudoscientific community utilizing slave labour and doing research on humans. A despicable and ignorant yet brilliant man.
