Loving these Laurel & Hardy reactions, I’m glad you’re both enjoying!
As far as L&H short films - I highly recommend; Another Fine Mess, Oliver The Eighth, Chickens Come Home, Busy Bodies, Going Bye Bye, Come Clean, Them Thar Hills, The Live Ghost, The Chimp, and Our Wife off the top of my head.
For full length films; Sons of the Desert, Fra Diavalo (The Devil’s Brother), Our Relations, Pack Up Your Troubles, and Way Out West. I’m subscribed and looking forward to future videos!
Welcome to the Family! 🫂 and Thankies for the amazing suggestions 😹🤗
Another good one is my kids favorite Laurel and Hardy short, "Brats". Stan and Ollie are babysitting its great.

Not one of my favourites.
@DashyXDAndDadReacts Hey there. New subscriber here. I found you while searching Laurel and Hardy reactions. I don't know what is funnier, the guys or you two laughing hysterically. L&H have always been my favorite comedians ever. One that I would definitely recommend checking out is: "County Hospital". You'll be howling! 😂
"He kicked me right in the middle of my daily duties" LOL!
Haha 😹😹
And it’s how the cop cleared his throat embarrassingly after she said that 👏🏻🤣
That was very risque for that time. It's quite surprising the censors let it through, but it's so good they did.
Probably the best slapstick comedians of all time. Not to mention very nice and relatable human beings. Stan Laurel's phone number was available in the phone book, anyone could call him, he answered and talked very kindly to anyone. They remained good friends till the very end, when Oliver Hardy died, Laurel was too old and sick to go to his funeral. "Babe would understand" - he said.
Aww that’s so sweet 😝😹
When sound films came out studios would remake or use silent films as inspiration for new talking films, this is a remake of a L&H silent film called "Hats Off" where they had to carry a washing machine up the same steps. Today Hats Off is a lost film no one can find a copy of it. I visited the steps in the 90's there are about 130 of them.
Whoop 🙌
an academy award for best comedy short of 1932
Whoop 🙌
My favourite L&H. On 1984 when i was 4, my nan had this taped on betamax, it's one of the things i watched there every Saturday for the next few years. Eventually i got it on VHS myself.
Awesome 🤩 🥰
I live in LA . U can visit alot of these locations of where these were filmed. This location has alot of homes around now. Some of the concrete steps have info of the filming location
Whoop Amazing
The piano noises going down the stairs would win a Grammy to-day.
Haha 😹😹
I read that they used a real piano in certain scenes as they needed the "weight" to be more realistic and for the piano sounds.
This is one of my personal favourites. I also love Busy Bodies, Dirty work, Brats, Help mates.
Awesome 🤩 check out the Playlist 😹
Yep. Also "The Ghost Ship" I think it's called where they help "Shangai" some guys to be taken aboard a ship. The way they capture the guys is extremely funny!
Thanks, you two. Long awaited multiple viewing of this incredible masterpiece.😂😂. Stoll wiping the tears from my cheeks, and fighting to get my breath back.
I have always truly loved these two: they have brought so much happiness in my life and to millions of others.xx
Love your channel and your comedy entrees.
May I suggest...?
1. Sons Of The Desert
3. Brats.
...just for a start.
Thankies so much! 🥰😹🥰
I too have the entire, complete box-set collection. Brilliant. Incidentally, they said of Ollie that he had “the most ‘educated’ hands in Hollywood”.
Whoop 🙌
Every time I watch these comic geniuses i end up laughing that much that my sides ache my stomach aches they were by far ahead of there time these genius comedy actors stan and Ollie were the best absolute genius 😅😅😅😅
Definitely genius 😹😹
The mannerisms the timing and when ollie all ways looks at the camera when stan does something wrong i watch these comedy classics every day they were quite simply the best the world has truly never stopped laughing genius 😅😅😅
I would also recommend dashy hog wild be big towed in the hole they are all classics from stan laurel and oliver norvell hardy they were just genius the timing the mannerisms and All ways when ollie looks at the camera as far as I am concerned they were the best awesome
Hi guys, did you know that the stairs were the music box was filmed are still there. Also there is an memorable board with laurel and hardy on the stairs. It is California.
Awesome 🤩
It's great seeing you two enjoy this timeless classic.
Glad you enjoyed it with us 😹🥰
Thanks, I really needed a laugh today, and with people who appreciate laurel and hardy 😊
You’re welcome whoop 🙌
Opening notes sounds like the opening of "Knight Rider".
Whoop 🙌
Hilarious thanks for reacting to the greatest comedy team of all time
You’re welcome ☺️ 😹
I laughed when Ollie was being dragged down the steps by the piano and Dashy says"Whee!"
Hahah same 😹😹
😂 I'm glad the VFX is bad
Those steps are still there today.
Awesome!
12:29 You could see this as a running gag in Tom and Jerry series. Laurel and Hardy, The Three Stooges and Charlie Chaplin left a huge inspiration for all comedy.
Haha love it 😹😹
Billy Gilbert who plays the professor in this short appears in a lot more of their work. He's also known from Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator and he's the original voice actor of Sneezy from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Willie the Giant from Fun and Fancy Free. He's was well known for his hilarious sneezing.
Awesome 🤩
A man who lives there, and looked it over,it's real in Los Angeles
Whoop 🙌 awesome 🤩
We need more comedy.
Definitely 😹
Still making us laugh nearly a century on, that’s something.
Definitely 😹🥰
I just watched a reaction to this yesterday. I swear you reactors watch each others reactions :) I haven't seen this show in a long time. It's almost stressful to watch. haha.
Wow, thank you! 😹 always love Laurel and Hardy
I always see Billy Gilbert as a typical caricature from a “Far Side” cartoon 👏🏻🤣
Haha awesome 🙌
Billy Gilbert played the sheriff in "HIgh Plains Drifter."
Billy Gilbert (the angry man o' the house) plays a wonderful small role in the fantastic HIS GIRL FRIDAY (Cary Grant, Rosalind Russell). Bill plays a city employee who gets pushed around by the crooked mayor and governor, only to come back later and is willing to go to the press. For more L & H, I always recommend COUNTY HOSPITAL. MUSIC BOX and HOSPITAL aer my two top pair.
Awesome 🤩
Doesn't get any better than this , timeless 😂
Deffo
Cool channel you have. The stairs in the film are real. They are called "The Laurel and Hardy Stairs" and they still exist today in the Silverlake District of Los Angeles, CA. I've been there in person. I didn't have the guts to actually climb all the way up them!
Thankies 🥰🤩
Fantastici
Whoop 🙌
NEW SUBSCRIBER! Loved your reactions. 'A little trivia: The Music Box' won an Oscar for Best Short Subject - Comedy in 1932. Another Laurel & hardy short I can suggest is 'The Finishing Touch' from 1928.
Welcome to the Family! 🤗 Thankies so much!
Recommendation for your next viewing: Watch their silent classic "That's My Wife."
Haha Thankies 😹
Love your reaction. The horse is the real star of this with his "looks." I live in L.A. and have visited those steps quite a few times! Classic comedy. Try watching "Blotto," where they both think they're drunk (they're merely drinking tea). Absolutely brilliant acting from both of them. Your daughter is going to do well in life having been exposed to these classic films at a young age! Much funnier than anything new being made today!
Thankies so much! 😹
It's fun to watch you experiencing the Boys for the first time. I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't know who they were.
Whoop 🙌 not our first time haha XD
I recently discovered another Hal Roach act, 17 short films starring "The female counterparts to Laurel & Hardy" Pitts and Todd. ZaSu Pitts and Thelma Todd are hilarious, all the shorts are on You Tube.
Awesome 🤩 😹
The location still exists and some parts of it haven't changed much in 92 years. However the hill now has structures on both sides. I've climbed it myself and it's a bit of a workout.
Awesome 🤩
😅 TWAS SO COOL TO WATCH YOU GUYS LAUGH SO HARD ! & SEE DAD DYING BEFORE MY EYES !! SO HEARTWARMING TO . LAUREL & HARDY ARE GOLD & GOLD NEVER GETS OLD. BESIDES MUSIC , THESE COMEDYS ARE MY FAVORITE THINGS . CHAPLIN , BUSTER & ALL THOSE LEGENDS OF THE PAST. ' THE END ' 🤣🤣🤣🤣❤
Hahah Thankies 🥰😹🥰
Very good film. I am sure I have seen the man who plays postman a few times in various laurel and hardy movies. I am sure he was in laughing gravy playing the landlord too though i could be wrong. Busy bodies and help mates i also liked.
Haha could be 🤔 Thankies 🙌
That’s the great Charlie Hall. He was in numerous Stan and Ollie shorts, such as “Tit For Tat” and its sequel “Them Thar Hills”.
This won an Academy Award in 1932.
Awesome 🤩
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts The crazy professor was an actor called Billy Gilbert, he pops up in a couple others by the boys. Imagine 1932 almost a century later and still makes us laugh, comic geniuses. I love the way Ollie always looks into the camera in despair at Stan’s antics. Dirty Work/ Scram and Our Wives are another three classics that will have you doubled up in stitches
This is a reallocation and is stll there in Claifornia, with a place at the bottom of th stirs saying this is wehre they filmed th eMusic Box. They won an Academy Award for best short film for the Music Box. Billy Gilbert went over the top playing the crazy professor.
Awesome 🤩
LOOK UP FILMING LOCATION FOR THIS SHORT AND FILM INFO ON HOW IT WAS THE ONLY MOVIE OF THEIRS TO RECEIVE AN AWARD
Thankies whoop 🙌
The greatest comedy duo ever
Whoop 🙌
Those stairs are still there, Vendome and Del Monte streets in LA
Whoop 🙌
Homaged in SCary Movie, with Ghostface being chased down the stairs.
Whoop 🙌 haha
Scram! Is my favourite short film of theirs
Whoop 🙌
The stairs are still there and are a tourist attraction in Los Angeles.
Awesome 🤩
From a Vaudvillian family, Billy Gilbert as the Professor, is just a treat here. Overacting as was the norm in those days, but wonderful !!
Whoop 🙌 😹
Loved seeing your reactions on the Laurel and Hardy films.
If you need recommendations for more, I can recommend the following:
- Busy Bodies, Towed in a Hole, Night Owls, Scram!, Below Zero, Dirty Work and The Midnight Patrol among the talkie shorts.
From their Silent shorts, I recommend you check out:
- Two Tars, The Finishing Touch, You're Darn Tootin', Double Whooppee and Big Business.
I guarantee you'll be in stitches of laughter from those ones. xD
Thankies 🥰🤪🥰
You guys should check out 'Twce Two' a 20 minute short in which Stan and Ollie play themselves and their own sisters. It's hilarious!
Thankies 😹🥰
You’re right about "Foundered" being an incorrect spelling of the intended “founded”. However, “Foundered” and "founded" are distinct words with different meanings.
• "Founded" is the correct term when referring to the establishment or creation of something, such as an organisation or institution. For example, "He founded a new company."
• "Foundered" is a different word and is often used to describe a situation where something fails or collapses, like a project or an endeavor. For instance, "The plan foundered due to lack of support."
The question is… were they just incompetent in their spelling or did they actually mistake one word for the other? 🤷🏻♂️
Whoop 🙌
The stairs are still there
Awesome!
Steve mqueen the actor lived at the top of those steps on the left
Amazing
29:32 Classic!
Heheh 🤭
Have you watched “County Hospital”, by chance? It’s one of Laurel and Hardy’s best.
Pivot!!!
No matter how many times you watch this, Ollie's scream is never not funny!
Haha yush 😹😹
At 18:57 to 19:01, now he tells them.
Whoop 🙌
😉👍👍👍👍👍
May I offer you a laurel, and hearty handshake on your reaction channel? One of my favorite L & H shorts is "Their First Mistake" (1932).
Whoop 🙌
5:17 Not anymore.
Haha 😹
Смешно. Почти Чарли Чаплин.❤
Whoop 🙌
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts ❤👍😊
20:47 Reminds me of a scene in The Return of the Pink Panther 😂 I hope you'll consider reacting to this one day 🙂
Haha Thankies 😻🥰
this won an Oscar.
