Another great choice! Of course, they have a lot of funny films, like Helpmates, Hog Wild, Our Wife, Thicker Than Water, County Hospital, Big Business, ….so many that any one you choose will be a winner. I’m looking forward to watching it with you. 😂
Haha yush Thankies 😹🥰
And Sons of the Desert! It's in the Library of Congress preserved because it has historical and cultural significance. A clever and extremely funny movie!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The sound of the bricks on poor Ollies head, I felt everyone .....FABULOUS
Hahaha 😹
I just found your channel this evening. What a treat you 2 are, smile never left your faces! I at 7 years old had the good fortune to meet Stan Laurel. My Mom introduced me to the boys she adored them. Mind you I really caught interest in them at 5 years old or there about. It was 1964, and like a lot of American families at that time, we made the pilgrimage to Disneyland. Mom had read somewhere that if Stan was feeling well, he would invite you to his apartment if you called him. We caught him on a good day. I sat with him, and he let me hold his Oscar. He did a few little bits for us, needless to say it was a great day that I will never forget. To answer a question many bring up. Stan's number WAS listed in the phone book.
Thankies so much! 😹🤗
You guys remind me of when I was 9 or 10 my dad and I watching these on Sundays through all of the commercials back in the 1960s. It's great to see these complete and without commercials. T'was Ever Thus.
thankies so much
Fantastic! I'll never get tired of this. The butler in this is hilarious, too. Great deadpan.
Thankies 😹🥰😹
I remember first seeing this film as a kid. It honestly had me in so many stitches. Say what you will about most 1930s films being outdated, but the sounds in this made it seem so real. And Stan and Ollie's reactions and facial expressions killed me every time. I'll never forget this one. You can tell everything that's going to happen a mile off, and it still cracks you up.
Whoop 🙌 so good! 😹😹
Thank you, reminds me of Saturday mornings back in the 70s as a kid.
Awesome 🤩 you’re welcome 🤩
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts Love your reactions, These are a couple of Mexican guitarists, been around a long time and I would love your opinion, Rodrigo y Gabriela th-cam.com/video/wFabNGzmk0M/w-d-xo.html😁
"Am I gonna die on this, one?"
Hey, youre almost nicking your Dad's catchphrase, young lady!!😂😂
Haha 😹😹
I grew up watching Laurel & Hardy, as well as all the classic comedians and comedies on TV in NYC. I've seen them all, laugh every time though I know what's coming. Now I love watching these again because your laughs are so infectious I laugh that hard again, and it's like I'm seeing them for the first time. BTW, their last silent movie, Two Tars is their funniest silent IMO
Awesome
"Well Stanley, this is another nice mess you've gotten me into" often said by Oliver Hardy in the films, has often been misquoted as "Another Fine Mess" which he only said once, and is the name of another film short.
Haha awesome 🤩 😹
BLESS YOU GUYS FOR 30 MINUTES OF PURE JOY !! THE MOVIE WAS FUNNY TOO ( HaHaHaHa ) IT'S 1933 AND THE THING STILL CRACKS ME UP ! BIG THANKS FROM MY LAUGHING HEART😂😂🙏🙏
You’re welcome 😹😹
At 8:55, now that's killing time, literally!
Whoop 🙌 😹
Very enjoyable reaction. Nice to see someone who can fully appreciate the boys.
Thank you very much!
Lol I'm glad you survived 🤣 They are so funny. Have you seen "Towed in a hole'? That's another great one from them.
Thankies 🥰🤩 not yet 😹
@DashyXDAndDadReacts "Towed In A Hole" is very funny, I know you'll enjoy it. My personal recommendation..."Blotto", which is brilliant end to end. ❤
Best reactors ever.
It would be nice to see grandpas reaction, when my grandparents were still around I actually showed them. They were astounded to see it again, since it was on DVD back then, and high quality footage on a Flatscreen TV, absolutely astonishing. It is a fond memory of mine, because I watched them as a re-run when i was a tiny child, and somehow, I appreciate THIS more than ANY modern movie.
As a fact, I haven't watched any modern movie be it from the 1980s to current, as much as either of the Laurel&Hardy Shorts.
I used to be able to call ALL their movies and shorts and micro-movies by name, but alas, memory is a fading thing.
I hope you also do the "Sons of the Desert", "Pardon us!", "Bohemian Girl", "Blotto" and my favourite, "Hog Wild". No wait, my favourite is "Saps at Sea". No wait, its "Way out West".... nah, all of them are.
I hope you keep up the amazing work of reacting to this with Dad, and to open the minds of the wide public of youtube to these two outstanding comedians long gone.
Another useless fun fact from a "old timer": Stan Laurel was friends with Jerry Lewis, or rather, the other way around. Which I only realized after seeing a movie whichs english title escapes me as of right now, Jerry Lewis named the lead character of "Bellboy" after Stan and also gave him a "semi cameo": a "Stan Laurel" appears in the movie played by a different actor, in a few scenes. A tiny bit of the actor and Lewis can be seen here:
th-cam.com/video/yX1eM798y8k/w-d-xo.html
It may also be a movie up to your likings, Jerry Lewis, "The Bell boy".
Thankies so much!🥰😹
Chimney tug of war... that's going to be an event in the next Olympics.
Haha 😹
I've just randomly stumbled upon this video and your channel. I LOVE L&H, and have done all my life (I'm pushing 50). It's great to see another generation (Dashy) seeing my boys and loving their work.
Stan and Ollie are simply wonderful, they worked so well together and were simply just funny.
Stan Laurel was a genius who didn't just write the films, but he also directed, edited and produced their work. Oliver (who liked to be called "Babe"), was the perfect partner. Their relationship on stage together was just magical.
They will never be replicated.
Please watch Helpmates, Going Bye Bye, The Music Box, Them Thar Hills and the sequel Tit for Tat. Then there are the features (about an hour) with Sons of the Desert (my personal favourite) and Way Out West. Plus so many more.
Anyway, I'm off to watch your reaction to Busy Bodies......I can'r wait for more! xxx Have a good weekend.
PS: Apologies if you've seen any of the above, but this vid is literally the first one I've seen on your channel. xx
Haha enjoy! Thankies so much for the comment! 🥰😹🥰
When the scientist says 'now for a human demonstration' its Stan who gets the suss first, then looks a Olly and rolls his eyes to indicate its time to leave... classic
Whoop 🙌 😹
It's so nice seeing a young person enjoying something old, like this. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Evolution took a step backwards for Oliver Hardy don't you think?!
