What about when you disconnect the rear seat airbags does the battery have to be disconnected while you do that then connect the battery to cycle the key switch on and off till the line have cleared of all gas and pressure
Folks this video is the the 2014+ Jeep Cherokee NOT the Grand Cherokee. They are totally different vehicles. Know what you drive and you will find correct videos for your model.
Do you happen to have a video that covers the same topic for the 2014 jeep grand cherokee? Or atleast a tutorial on how to extract/release fuel out of the tank?
Good tip for some of you... put a small ratchet strap around the 2 seat halves.. it'll make it easier to remove the seat and prevent them from wanting to open up while pulling them through the door way!
2014 Grand Cherokee overland 3.6l V6 - FLEX MFI vin G type ERB - 4 valve DOHC Drive Type: 4WD/AWD has No access plate under the seat. (that's 40 minutes I'd like back) Remove exhaust, remove driveshaft. Drop both tanks and replace the pump!
Would like to know if someone has tried this with a 2015 grand Cherokee since someone already said the 2016 didn't have an access panel and they had to drop the entire tank ...
@@armandoydesarmando I really appreciate it. I would assume being a 2015 grand Cherokee the motor wouldn't matter since the frame should have been build the same so if there wasn't an access panel in yours I doubt there is one in the 3.6 limited
This video has no use what so ever for a 2014 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo. If you own the same Don't waste your time pulling seats and following video. !!
This video has no use for a grand Cherokee at all. This video is for a the cherokee. Notice the word grand is missing. It's a totally different vehicle. Not sure why you thought this video would apply to you
Is it a cherokee or grand Cherokee. A bunch of grand Cherokee owners in the comments wondering why this instructional for a completely different vehicle is joy working for them 😂
Can I just say how amazing these explanations are? Even if they seem simple, the simpler the better when you're not a mechanic
This was exactly my setup on my 2016 Cherokee Trailhawk 2.4L -- exceptional video,, made things way easier to find
I love this channel ty for making professional videos for us. I don't have to hunt for quality videos you guys make it EASY
Very usful and high quality video!
What about the transfer pump. Is there instructions in manual for that also. Thanks for the video👍
Muchas graxias

Will this same procedure work on the 2020 jeep cherokee?

What is the panel for on the driver side? I was worried there were two fuel pumps at first.
Not clear on the transfer hose, how do you disconnect? Where does it go?he skipped that step, also his rag covers the clips when he's removing them...
Where does it go?
Is there any way to just replace the filter?
Does this apply to 2013 models?
Whats the part number on that fuel pump please
Y’all completely left out the transfer tube (jet pump) because it’s a saddle tank but great video none the less

@@armandoydesarmando my guess would be the video is showing just the standard jeep Cherokee model. Not a grand Cherokee
@@armandoydesarmando assuming to cut and pulled back the carpet under the seat to after taking out the seats right? Lol
This video is not about a grand Cherokee at all. It's for the cherokee. A totally different vehicle
And if you buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee of the same year as you have to remove basically the entire underneath just to get to the stinking gas tank
My battery is under the front pass seat.

This video would be great if it was accurate. Thanks for wasting my time. Pulled the seats on a 2016, no fuel access door.
Was accurate for me. 2016 Jeep Cherokee 3.2L FWD.
Yeah. Not there on a 14 year. Thanks for the waste of time
Sure it is. Just did mine yesterday. Any chance you have a grand Cherokee and not a cherokee? They are completely different vehicles you know
Take out the engine remove the axle and take off all the tires
