All the backstabbing and political infighting that goes on before the story takes place could make for a game all by itself.
Hell, a game with a young Garon would actually be pretty good. I really hope a younger, not evil Garon makes an appearance in this project.

Garon was missed potential --- they could've made a moral grey area where he was a tyrant to his enemies but a good man to his family and country. Instead, they want to make you feel like an ass for picking Nohr.
THIS. My friend is an obnoxiously nationalistic Hoshidan, but I always say
"Nohr is a country with actual flaws and interests, whereas Hoshido is if you took Jesus, and made him a country."
If Fates had scrapped Hoshido and just focused on all the ins and outs of Nohr, it could've been the next Radiant Dawn for crying out loud!
in lore, Garon was actually a kind king. Well maybe not kind, but he was a just ruler. When he was younger, he was a good father. But then he was *spoiler territory*

Is it wrong that I would have paid to see this as a DLC campaign to see this civil war between Garon's various mistresses and the tragedy it wrought? It would be an intriguing storyline.
Honestly if these fanmade stories were DLCs I'd buy them all. This is much better than the average "bandits are attacking this small village!" that you see in many paralouges and non-main levels.
Honestly, Fates could have used this sort of politics.
It's so depressing, Fates' story is just one fucking giant missed opportunity after another.

My headcanon is that the Elise was conceived right before Garon become a slime monster and that the concubine wars ended because as a slime monster, Garon couldn't have sex anymore and the concubines couldn't curry favor with sex anymore.

Holy crap, this was amazing...the child Azura and Camilla look almost exactly how I'd picture their younger selves to be and the script as well as they way you told part of the story of the concubine wars...Very impressive! I definitely can't wait to see part 2!

It's always interesting to see how the Nohrian siblings grew up in such a backstabbing court. I like the Hoshidan family and all but it seems like the entire family was nice and King Sumeragi didn't have concubines (which I find hard to believe due to Japanese royalty always having concubines in real life).

Camilla is my favorite character from the game and I was always dissapointed that there wasn't much character deveploment for her and she was THE ONLY ROYAL WITHOUT A SUPPORT WITH AZURA, WHY THE FUCK!!
And Smol!Camilla and Smol!Azura are so damn cuuuuteeee! Compare them with their adult bodies! They really grow up!
*And this is a version how I always saw Camilla's background story:*
-> She (and the others) had much more brothers and sisters
->Her mother ill-treated her (okay, this didn't happened so far, maybe it's better so)
-> Everybody should kill each other
-> She met Azura
*And what could happen next?* (Theories)
-> Camilla's killing more childs
-> Maybe she'll get a little bit insane
-> She will kill her mother
-> She will met LittleCorrin, she hid her insanity and want to protect him/her
Intelligent System (I hope this was the developer company name) should look at this and then make this in a DLC or somethin. (I have the feeling that many fans can make better stories than the developers)

I'd just like to say that I saw a bit of this years ago, before playing Fates myself, and this was good enough that for all this time before playing I thought this is Camilla's backstory you see in-game (as DLC or such).
Oml they should totally make a game that talks about the past of nohr and hoshido with the royal siblings. This was REALLY well written and the art was so good. I can't wait for part 2!!!

I've watched these a number of times, and I have to say these are fantastic. I could really see this happening in the backstory of Fates. And the artwork is excellent, especially little Camilla and her mother.
I don't know if it would be possible, but I'd love to use that artwork of young Camilla for a story I've been working on. It's not finished yet, but as I can post cover art on my work, I kept thinking that image of young Camilla would be perfect.

They weren't creatively fulfilling and with the franchise moving on shortly the game is no longer relevant. If i get a really good idea or find a way to do it thats creatively inspiring to me, then I might. But for now, no. I'm sorry to dissapoint you.

But why is she wearing it in Nohr? Unless the Hoshidans made her a larger replica of the same Nohrian outfit when she got older, which seems unlikely, then the outfit is Hoshidan in design and she shouldn't have it yet.

Young Azura looks really good, but the headcap thing (I don't know what that is honestly) looks a bit off. Azura's veil(?) should be tilted a little more towards the camera.
