To answer your question on what they would do with 100 Wookie pelts:
Native Trandoshans worship a goddess called the Scorekeeper. To earn her favor, they have a sort of point system in which they hunt many types of prey in order to appease her. If they earn a certain amount of points, then she bestows upon them long life and all sorts of other good fortunes. Wookie pelts gain them many points in their worship of the hunting goddess, so if one of them got 100 pelts, then it would be a tremendous way to earn the goddess’s favor.

We can’t have any Jedi surviving up until the OT other than the ones we have already and we can’t have any that are helping rebel cells beyond 5bby. Yes, they were on the forest floor, which is traditionally considered The Shadowlands, but sunlight was coming through real well in the daytime, so it couldn't really be The Shadowlands portion of the forest floor, because it wasn't "Shadowy" per se, hence the name. Maybe, it was a shallow area, near a clearing in the trees (Like near a coastline), so they weren't in a deeper part of the area, where the title of "Shadowlands" makes more sense. Maybe, later in the episode, they will go there. I need to see it first to know for sure.

Since the kotor spiders were in this episode it would be really funny if the trees also have the kotor backstory.
For those who don’t know, the infinite empire used to rulemany worlds. Kashyyyk was meant to be an agricultural world and they left machines that encouraged plant growth. The machines kept running for thousands of years after their empire fell which resulted in what we see today. They also turned Tatooine into a desert by bombing it until the surface turned to glass, which is the reason the sand people hate outsiders so much! Their ancestors' first attempts at space travel brought the infinite empire so they became incredibly superstitious that elevating oneself over the holy ground was evil.

This episode was amazing! I loved it so much. Whether it’s be the the story or the interactions between the characters, this episode just seemed to have it all. I just liked the overall feeling with this one. The score for this episode was also really amazing, it just felt so tribal and spiritual, especially during all the Gungi and Kashyyyk scenes. And just like always, the animation is super beautiful, and stunning, especially all the scenes on Kashyyyk. The detail put into every scene were amazing and just so visually pleasing. And I liked how it seemed how depending on the tone of the scene the coloring of the scene and environment would change. And speaking of Kashyyyk, it was really great to see it again on screen for the first time since Revenge of the Sith in 2005. I also really loved all the elements in this episode that were used from the unfinished Clone Wars episodes where the Bad Batch go to Kashyyyk with Yoda and fight with the Wookiees. Like, for example, the Monkey creatures the Wookiee’s rode on and the Trandoshans using Separatists tanks to enslave Wookiees. I also loved being able to see Gungi again. He was always my favorite Padawan from that Clone Wars arc, and I just so glad that they reintroduced him in this show. I loved every second he was on screen, whether it be his action scenes, the scenes where he initially distrusts the Batch or his interaction scenes with Omega and the Wookiees. And this may sound odd, but I loved the way that the Trandoshan leader was killed, it was so dark yet so satisfying. Anyway, I really liked this a lot episode and all the things they did in it, and I can’t wait to see next week’s episode.

Hi there guys.. what has happened to your reactions to episodes 7 and 8 whish were probably the best Bad Batch so far!! ????

  • @bazanime
    @bazanime ปีที่แล้ว +1

I really enjoyed this reaction since you lived in the episode and reacted appropriately to what was happening. It's nice that you didn't break the tension due to prior knowledge of the trailer, or revealing out the next thing. You held back and let the story flow and reacted accordingly.
Also enjoyed that Aaron was sad about the "nowhere safe for Jedi" scene, a nice change from the heavy hate of Jedi from other reactor channels.
Just like humans around the world have different faces, shapes, and sizes, it makes sense that other species would have variations aswell.
    Nice episode.

Wait what did you mean by the last part? Are people against Alien Jedi? That’s insane because I’m actually against all these human Jedi ahaha. It’s ridiculous that almost all the important Jedi that survive are human. Same with just protagonists in general. Really screws with the believability of the galaxy and makes no damn sense since aliens look so cool, sell more and are easily distinguishable and actually just make for better storytelling opportunities

KOTOR "spiders" (forget their name) and Gungi being alive. Nice.
More and more i have the feeling LF wants to keep quite a few Jedi alive and roaming the galaxy. That is really great. And as a wookie Gungi could easily live a long life as a Jedi.
ps: Erza would be proud of Gungi while Cal would proceed to kill everything with his lightsaber. 🤣

A couple years ago I actually wanted this to be addressed in a Fallen Order game and for it to be an actual anthology series that followed different Jedi post Order 66 and have them all die at the end of their respective games to really play into that Fallen Order thematic and flesh out the galaxy with different characters and stories whilst not stepping on any lore toes or getting stuck and limited in following a set of characters.
But I’m super excited to see Gunji again in any capacity! He was always my favourite of the youngling group and I always wanted to see more of him (especially because he’s an alien Jedi an it’s getting a bit ridiculous how many important humans and human jedi in general we’re getting in canon which is really harming the franchise tbh with it being so forced despite the odds). And although every Jedi surviving Order 66 cheapens the moment a little more, I’ll always take some more Gunji. I was really hoping he’d join the Bad Batch Crew because it doesn’t seem like a good idea to leave him on Kashyyyk exactly haha.
Hopefully he finds Vos there though and becomes a padawan to him for them both to be taken out by Vader later. I think that pairing just works for both characters and Vader needs to actually get a win for once finally after all these years since 1977 haha. A bit ridiculous he only wins in the comics and books and loses in everything else.
I always imagined about how that youngling group we see in Clone Wars experienced Order 66 and in my head canon Petro always sacrificed himself reinforcing that character development and lesson of selflessness he had to let the others escape while Byph got killed in the process and the rest died one by one with Gunji being the last one standing. Hope that’s the case here

Kashyyyk was super cool in Legends' Heir to the Empire. I'm not really familiar with games, but it was a lot like what Eric is describing in KOTOR at 28:37. They live in the canopies, and no one goes down to the surface of the planet because it's too dark, dangerous, full of predators, etc. The canopies of the trees are thousands of feet above surface of the planet. I also got the impression that it was kind of like how we don't scuba drive to the deepest parts of the ocean because humans can't survive under that much pressure.
