I love that you made a video on this. There really isn’t a lot of info about the subject. Y’all are doing great (I have been jumping around your channel).
Thank you for this thorough and wonderful explanation. I've been talking to a fictive for the longest time. When I finally started treating him like a real person instead of just my imagination, he became more open and talkative and would remind me to take care of myself. I wonder how many more alters are in here who I haven't been treating like real people like they deserve. It makes me sad, because one of them went quiet and hasn't spoken to me since we turned fifteen.
I’m a fictive introject myself, as are a lot of people in our system, so it’s nice to know that there’s some good representation out there. -Anakin Skywalker
We have 2 fictional alters that i can remember, one from a story i made up and another from a book series I liked (Im host) when i was young and they only introduced themselves to me because i was watching their movie. which reminds me of when our wolf alter gets upset when wolves get hurt in some shows ive seen (im also a werewolf in the mind I think, i become wolf once when some of our littles ran away so i get upset when our wolf alter gets upset)
our hosts have had a little trouble with the idea of fictive interjects - but we reminded them that most of us ARE an inject and were formed from fictional 80s characters of our childhood. oh and you started off your video with a gentle disclaimer about how "not very good" the video was going to be but other than the volume of your voice, we think you did great - you stayed consistent, on point, you gave loads of valuable information and we feel you need to just be proud of who you are - no need to put a disclaimer up- we wouldn't have even noticed the volume thing had you not pointed it out - good job. :) can't wait to watch more videos... :)
in cases of a fictive being from a source created by another member of a system we've noticed they tend to be closer to source? like puck would love for people to ask vixen about vixs source or memories or tell vixen they love them from their source especially in times like right now when vix is really missing vixs source lol
I really love how you describe the role that each alter serves-in particular, introjects. I’m in awe of how well you’re able to remember what other alters have or haven’t done. I’m not sure I could keep track. I don’t have DID and can I can barely remember what ONE of me did yesterday. But this was a great explanation, and it actually makes perfect sense to me. Thank you for helping those of us who want to understand better.
Thanks so much for posting this, it's very difficult to find vids like this so it's good to have one to share with friends who don't understand the subject. You're definitely way easier to understand than my own rambling confusing explanations.
Great video with good info in it. We often feel very invalid because of our fictives. And it’s nice to hear other systems say that fictive have no responsibility to tell you what their source is.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊 and that you found some solidarity in it. You don't have to reveal anything you don't want to. You don't owe people anything! - Fliss x
@@thesparksystem5959 I so wish that my old friend (who I now realize was/is a multiple) could have explained to me about how his mind works when I still had the chance to ask. It seems like one of his protectors got irritated with my persistence about getting to know him again after 25 years (and who obviously harbors hard feelings toward me), and I kinda got the boot. As a NT I don’t understand all the rules of engagement, and I don’t know what’s okay to say to one, but not the other, and I feel like none of them are going to truly clarify it for me. Is there any way to appeal to the ones who do accept me, to give me another chance? And what should I do when I know that one/some of them are lonely and desperately need companionship, while others are bossy and negative and bully him into forcing me away. The lonely parts contemplate and plan suicide from so much sadness, while the bullies tell them to suck it up and “be a man”, and never let him cultivate any relationships? And I have to tell you, I think there’s at least one who is paranoid, angry, and (I hate to say it out loud here bc I don’t want to add to the stigma)....may actually create literal trouble for me. I’m so torn. I want to be a good friend-I truly care about him-but the protectors won’t let me get close enough to learn how. 😩🥺😭 Ugh. I feel so dumb rambling like this, but I need help from someone who knows how the inner world operates, and if there’s any way to reason with the protectors. Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
Thank you so much for this wonderful video, dear. x We spoke to you about it before recording, but really, these things need to be mentioned. And you did it wonderfully, Danny! - Miss Kensington.
tysm for saying that not all fictives are exactly the same as their source! i feel as though this is a common expectation (especially from singlets who are still learning) when hearing that someone is an introject. our system has a s*xual alter and you wouldn't assume at first glance that that's his role since he's from a pg-rated source, it just happened to be the role he eventually took on
Sorry for such a late comment but this is really good and the mumbling is not that bad at all :) its pretty cool and im sorry if yall have had most of those experiences in the video! hope yall have a good day
i have a friend who has a bunch of alters and they are all interjects of fictional charecters (from animes and stuff) i was wondering if thats possible for all of their alters to be anime charecters?? (not trying to be offensive just trying to understand :))
It is possible yeah. If they consumed a lot of media like that growing up / during any stressful or traumatic times then your brain will take what it thinks it needs :) there could be unknown alters around also! But yeah not impossible
i have a question and anyone who knows can answer: can characters that passed away/ aren’t living in the source be an alter? even if the host saw the characters death in the source?
Yes! Introjects vary so much, and that's absolutely possible 😁 if the character was around and your brain absorbed and internalised that then said character being alive or dead doesn't change their validity as an alter ❤
Yep! ((Spoiler warning for Danganronpa)) We have alters of Kiibo and Kokichi from Danganronpa, both are characters who died in their game. Kiibo remembers his death while Kokichi doesn't, but they're both valid alters in our system!
We have an introject named Alice/March (both work) from Alice in Wonderland. I hate how people fakeclaim systems just for having fictives and/or introjects. :) -Carnival System
HI is it too late to ask a question?? alongside the media, one of our fictives also recalls memories that are still from his source but never explicitly/actually happened.. is that normal in any way 😭? because i genuinely dont know but it also seems to be distressing for him
I have a question. I don't have DID myself, but my friend does, and I'm just wondering if a system can be made almost entirely of fictives? Most of her alters are fictives, and I'm wondering if that can actually happen.
Introjects aren't always persecutors! You can have introjects of abusive people but you can also have introjects of protective figures etc. And introject can be any kind of alter 💕
I've heard the term "fictive" used for the type of introjects that is from media rather than an actual person, but, if my understanding is correct, a fictive is still a TYPE of introject.

ooooooooooooooooook. no. you are misuseing the word Fictive. I have been studying this matter for 20 years kiddo. I know what im talking about. a fictive is a headmate of a system of METAPHYSICAL nature. they are NOT usually part of DID systems. ( though they CAN be that way. ) however the term Fictive is NOT assosiated with DID.
oooooooooooooook, don't come here and patronise us? Introjects are perfectly normal part of DID/OSDD systems. Be that fictional or non-fictional. I'm not really sure i even know what you're getting at here. The term system hasn't always been associated with DID either, doesn't mean words can't have multiple meanings. Besides, why does it matter what someone calls an introject when the subject matter is still perfectly valid? Introjects are common in systems.
@@thesparksystem5959 i didnt mean to come off as patronizing... i appologize. i had quite a bad dysphoria attack. Fictives. are... I don't understand the relevance of past lives and string theory when the topic of conversation is a scientific mental illness. Its totally natural for alters to take on the personality traits of others when forming, be that good, bad, fictional or non fictional. I feel like the philosophy of metaphysics here implies that fictives are just our perception of a reality, but that could be applied to literally any other alter which you haven't done
