I love my Lightning Rods. I have been using them ever since high school over 30 years ago. I own several right now that I use for mostly panfish. I have an 8 foot ultralight that is a killer slip float rod. There are tons of rods $100 or less that will catch lots of bass and hold up better than a $300 rod.

So cool you're showing those,in my shop I sold the lightning rods, all one piece 7',6-6,spinning and casting, I sold about 150 of them at 34.95 90 day full refund if they broke,I usually fitted an Okuma reel,I told so many people you don't need a Loomis, all my swimbait rods were Fenwick HMX glass rods,I had anything I wanted, just couldn't see it,good info I hope your viewers give them a try!

I used them all day today. They have the same feel as my upper end rods. I’m sure there’s some cons but still for the price. Thanks for the like!

Lightning rod has been good rod since the inception, can’t speak about the new ones cause I’m still using the old ones, they’re pretty reliable!

I’m planning on going fun fishing this weekend too, for perch. They’re uncommon in my state but the local reservoir has them and I found the spot they’re hiding out last time I went. So I’m gonna grab some minnows and catch us some dinner, hopefully 😋
Just bringing my ugly stik, it’s been ol’ faithful. I’ll get a nicer spinning reel setup when the time is right. I have a $300 baitcaster combo and I told myself I wasn’t going to buy another pole until I learned how to use it. I pretty much have, but I still have a distance to go!

@@Co-anglerken Georgia. I have not boat fished since I was a kid when we would night fish on my friends dad’s boat at Allatoona on those summer nights.
But I recently got a jon boat because I got tired of limited bank access and a few places to fish around here, but there is a 250 acre reservoir 10 minutes from my house and it has been great practice.
I found the honey hole there. It was like so many puzzle pieces came together. The stealthy drift, the perfect casts… couldn’t catch them on the stick bait or worms, I switched to a ratltrap and started throwing it straight into their mouth from a great distance lol. Sadly, my last backlash slung my lure off into the abyss. It was time to go anyways. Definitely buying another one of those.

@@Co-anglerken hey man, it would be cool to go fishing with you sometime if you are ever in the area. Would be an honor to network and fish with some of the pros such as yourself!

@@Valetic6 I’m far from being a pro but id take you up on that! Who knows, if they take livescope out of the boat I plan on traveling the country again. Just don’t want to travel 12 hours in one direction just to set behind a kid livescoping in a tournament. Good luck fishing this weekend in the heat!!

@@Co-anglerken I would refuse. You guys’ voice is more powerful than you know. In this world of corporate elitism, your voices and influences are deeply political and it would be wise to make those chess moves with the right words and the right timing.
That being said, it would seem to me that the fall turnover happened overnight last night down here. I’m sure we might see a couple more summer bursts, but there was DEFINITELY a temperature difference that happened.
