Nice, useful selection of foot-activated percussion gear. I used to play percussion for dance classes at NYU and I relied a lot on using both feet to enhance my sound. I was one of the only drummers there at that time doing this, and it truly gave me a 'leg-up' on the competition... ;) Q: do you ever strap shakers or other gear directly to your ankles when playing? I found that getting a small selection of dollar store adjustable dog collars was useful, along with some scrap lengths of heavy duty velcro. I was able to get very good direct control of Meinl shakers, 'goat toes' and also a hi-hat-topper-tambourine that I rigged for my left foot; without having to carry and extra pedal around... My percussionists motto: "All You Need Is Feet"...
Mean drumming skills! *Your sizzling China cymbal is the deal and sounds just incredible! What brand and model is it?* Your videos have introduced me to many percussion instruments I had no prior knowledge of and that has enriched my sound pallete greatly. Thank you!
I will Pay/Venmo you Rick if you can send me the links to your exact tambourine set up so I can get myself a setup just like that!! Please Help. Or anybody else who could replicate that setup!...
It's just an lp gajate pedal rig with a standard bass drum pedal with a rhythm tech tambourine and a plastic headed bass drum beater (DW) or a long wooden beater as made by vic firth or LP. Now, please donate that money you were going to send me to your local animal shelter.
@@rickdior Would it produce something like the pedal tambourine set up seen here: th-cam.com/video/B8b6nx6LDmQ/w-d-xo.html at minute 01:40 - 0:200? I cannot figure out what to google to find a vertical beater that looks like that, or where to purchase one. What do you think that is? And I'm a fan of the animal shelter idea :)
Man the independence while the left foot plays clave is unreal.
First time I've seen a foot percussion pedal collection video. Appreciate you making this and I enjoyed your tips and seeing the pedals in use.
musically dynamic and technically challenging for sure. much more impressive than playing 32nd notes at 120bpm at full volume. respect

Great drumset for a even greater player!
Just what I needed. You’re the man, Rick!
Great demonstration, Rick. Gosh what would we do without the LP Company. Thanks for this.
Beautiful work. Great videos. I learned a great deal. Thank you

Thank you❤
Cheers.
I wonder if it's possible to create a ganza shaker foot pedal?
Excellent demonstration.. I’m curious about the spring tension for the various pedals. I would think a tighter spring would be the preferred set up?
Hi
I use a very loose tension on all of my pedals. This allows me to control the motion rather than the motion controlling me.
@@rickdior Thank you
You are an awesome drummer!
Are you using a djembe as a snare?
The Snare drum is a 14" Remo Mondo Snare.
@@rickdior that’s amazing! I really want one now!
Have you ever did Aladdin the musical
What snare drum are you using?
It should be in the video description
