I used to think shakers were lame. But you completely changed my opinion with that intro performance. Best drum channel on TH-cam. Thanks for all the content 🥁🙌

Is there anything Rick can't do. Wow. This is so useful and I always struggle combining shaker with drumkit.

The Blue LP Twist shaker is a really good one, however I got the red from a friend and I LOVE it!! Also, the one shot shakers (small) are so cool for simulating "trap" hi hat sounds! I have a blue rhythm tech one that sounds really good, a bit drier than the red one! Also my personal favorite effect shaker is THE LP Wah Wah, really great for that "shaker going through a flanger loop". My favorite wood shaker is an Meinl Cajon shaker, and my favorite"organic" shakers are definitely my two caxixis and my LP Medium Ganza! Oh and while I don't use em by themselves a ton, egg shakers can be easily combined with other shakers, and it adds a natural top end high pass thing!

Right your musicality knowledge and experience puts you streets shead of most other TH-cam drum channels. I've been trying to combine shaker with kit for a while, this has given me a load of ideas to work through.

Seriously way above my beginner skill level. I was just trying to count 1 e and ah and get the accent on the 1 and ah but to no avail. What he was doing in the drum kit must take decades to learn 😢
