Interesting Fact: During development of this figure the dome was going to have either going to have a type of gel in it or water but hasbro was concerned about the quality of the water.

@@dankmegatron313 well considering this was a figure intended for kids, if the casing cracked or was kept in the sun for too long, the quality of the water would definitely be a concern
Oil Slick’s motorcycle mode has a goat-like head.
His robot mode has a glass dome helmet that protects his visible head.
I think he's one of the best damned motorcycle-based transformers and one of the more metal designs. I love him so much.
the oddness of the goat skull actually can be seen as a neat little bit of background story telling since G1 already happened by the time Animated begins so having earth inspired parts to one's altmode is not too unlikely
Just a slight remold and recolor and you have Mr. Freeze.

or just a repaint and a freeze gun instead of the barels or oh the barrels turn into the freeze gun.

I feel like if it wasn't for the dome on his head, he would totally be wearing something akin to a cowboy hat.
You know what would be a cool alternative design for Oil Slick here? A plague doctor sort of design.

he is also one of the few Transformers who uses the Rostoxin virus as a weapon. and that would be what he stores in those barrels.
...I kinda want to see this get remolded as Ghost Rider. Like...with how the robot mode looks and seeing that his alt mode is a pan-head chopper...it'd be *perfect!*
I'd love it if this guy got the treatment the Lockdown and Lugnut got with a new toy I could put in my Classics collection.
I always figured that his engine was just concealed in his chest/upper legs, because the details on the underside of his robot head looks like they could be the intake for the engine
Man, what I'd do for Generations Oil Slick to be a thing.
I dig the look of the chopper mode! Until now, I had not known this figured even existed. And looking on eBay, Oil Slick can be had for a reasonable price.

My favorite Animated figure and possibly my favorite deluxe figure EVER. Perfect in every single ways.
I find the drink can size comparison to be the most universally useful one, and speaking as someone who was out of it for quite a long while and missed alot of the figures in the first half of the decade it helps to have someone compare the toy with something I am very familiar with the size of.
I love TFA figures, unfortunately I only have bumblebee, the one that came with the clear blue boosters.
Zartan or any other GI Joe figure can ride Oil Slick fairly well. Also i love how you can get the oil drums posed just right to make him look like he's drinking from them
Actually, TJ, you can kiiiiinda make the chain come out of the other way, instead of spliting the barrel open, the "lid" can come of, which is the part that the chain is conected to.
Jolt in Cybertron had a dome over his head. I can't think of anyone else, though.

Man I love me some Animated reviews, shame the show was cancelled so the toys were cut short. You'd think there'd be at least 1 company making 3rd party Animated toys, but apparently not (aside from the Huffer & Pipes someone made).

Sideways deserves his own mold. The fact that the Titan's return line is headmaster themed gives me hope he will get that mold

A skilled customizer could rework this into that Rum-Maj character.
It's also weird considering this is technically his Cybertronian vehicle mode. Though I guess that's what happens when the toy was designed before the animation model.

there is a transformers fan on facebook that made animated omega surpreme and omega lugnut and they both look amazing but if you want both (colour and everything) it's gonna cost you 900 since he is making them by scratch.
Did u know the barrel caps can come off on the chain weapon makes it easier to put the chain back. I got this guy but I repainted him into a Dr insanotron long time ago even made him a target master son of insanotron.

I have this exact same figure. Trouble is, whatever was in the barrel other than the sorry excuse for a flail weapon gets lost REALLY EASILY! I got this figure when I was 4 and I'd only had it for a year when I lost whatever was in the other barrel!

Hey tj I also have this guy and love him. What sucks is I just picked up my protophorm star scream since its been in storage for years and a bit behind his left foot busted off then half his left hand busted off while I was just trying to pose it. This is my first time dealing with this in my collection since most of them are still in storage. I'm scared about how much gps is gonna take away alot of my favorites in storage like the Armada optimus that combines with overload and the jet fire pants.

I don't want to sound like an ass but... Bulkhead first appeared in Energon... I know he was completely different but same name
+Nemesis Prime Names really mean nothing in Transformers, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would call Animated Bulkhead and Energon Bulkhead the same character. Same way G1 Skids and movie Skids are alike in name only.
TJOmega I know. Personally I found it extremely surprising to learn that Bulkhead was named Bulkhead in Energon cause I always watched Superlink (Japanese) and well.... I can't understand Japanese

Next, Warrior Class Fracture
Motorcycles and helicopters are two vehicle modes that I feel are waaaay too underused in Transformers. Helicopters especially, they make for way better designs and toys than jets do.
Plus it's easy to lose the thumbs. That's being said by someone who has experienced that problem.
The phrase I think your looking for is "Bad to the servos"

I use the opening barrel as a wine barrel
the head remind me of mr freeze from batman
paint it blue and it would feel like Mr. Freeze.
The closest thing to robot bones I can think of is "endoskeleton"

too bad this guy was only in the show for a total of what 20 seconds? in cybertronian treaded chopper mode with a robotic goat head this guy would make a perfect ghost rider figure as well
