Great Video!! You two are so inspiring for those who are planning to venture the unknown spaces of the globe or who live vicariously through you two. What an awesome partnership you have!
We are planning for road trip as well but can't have those luxury of ensuite bathroom with shower and proper western style toilet. Can you tell me if we get such choices when doing road trip there?
Hey there! Awesome you are heading to this area. It is beautiful. But remember you will most likely need to pay in cash when you get there.
@@therealfabryk Thanks a lot of your quick response, is there any bigger international car rental company there like Hertz? Any recommendation for car rental company?
@@smallworld1015 Take a look at the guide we made about this as we cover all of it :) thefabryk.com/blog/road-trip-from-almaty-kazakhstan#:~:text=How%20to%20rent%20a%20car%20in%20Almaty%3A%20Car%20rental%20company%20options%20in%20Almaty We didn't try Hertz, but I believe it was an option! We recommend Vladex Car Rental as shown in the guide.
Hi Ryan and Fabio, just want to say thank you for this great video. Its a big help coz Im planning a self drive road trip in the almaty region as well but am not sure how drivable the roads are, Looks to me the roads are good. Tqsm .
Yes! Basically the only issue is still getting to lake kaindy but otherwise we drive entirely without a 4x4. Kaz has put a lot of effort into improving roads the last years! Cheers for watching!
Ehh, the bio toilets are my favorite tho :P Great video, I'm from Almaty myself, which country would you recommend me to travel to experience something special in connection of being from Kazakhstan? (been to USA, UK, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Russia, China, Thailand.
Haha we properly enjoyed the bio toilets too! Hmm, it is a good question, maybe the Caucasus -- like Georgia?! You have and endless expanse of nature like you do in Kazakhstan but still the city life of Tbilisi (like Almaty). They are of course different, but there are some similarities.
@@therealfabryk for your case, are you both just stop at the start of the canyon and start to trek from there, or go further inside? Do you think normal car or SUV able to go further inside?
@@PgMantis I am not entirely sure on this one! Basically there was a parking lot that seemed to be the limit that anybody could drive up to. Nevertheless, I have heard of people with 4x4s being able to drive around the canyon, but we didn't really witness it that day at least!
Heey, just in case, if anyone needs help or tips, you can contact me! I will be happy to help you, and share all necessary information about Almaty, Kazakhstan ❤ I live in Almaty

Was the road inside Charyn Canyon paved?
You can drive up to the start of the canyon and that part is all paved.
