Claire Jones has been calling herself a Cassandra on Twitter. What a joke. She’s one of the reasons we are in this ness. She’s truly delusional.

I’m in the NSW public service. For the first time I can remember, our annual employee survey asked whether our gender is different from our birth sex. Also, whether we’re straight or gay. I raised this in our team meeting and was shouted at by a young woman who said trans women are women! I felt very attacked

Yeah, it really does seem like a great deal of the "hatred" complained about by a certain community is coming from within the house...
I started off my career within the public service. I can't tell you how relieved I am to be completely free of it. Perpetually living in fear of professional sanction for the inadvertent observation of material reality in the workplace is no way to have to live.

      re the sweaty balls candle...
Men are afraid women will laugh at them.
      Hence the punishment.
Men give us many reasons to laugh at them, often in frustration cos they are so fucking willing to be horrid and they let each other get away with it, and fnd women who support them in it.
We laugh and find humor, to help us stay strong.
Men use coercion, their laws, and violence to help them stay in control.
      Still we rise.

Listening to the Australian women‘s legal fight makes me feel less alone over here in Germany, where our new Self ID law comes into effect in November, including 10k fines for misgendering and 250k fines or 6 months jail for ‚deadnaming‘!
I cannot believe we‘ve come to this repression of female rights this quickly.
We just had a judge court ruling censor a podcast from Hoss & Hopf on yt because they talked about an autogynephilic man who wants to join a female only fitness studio…
Looks like Tickle 20 years younger

Only the extremely right wing media report on any trans related issues, and most people will not watch these because we‘ve had bad experiences with right wing fascists…
So it‘ll probably have to cause actual problems for real people on the ground for any awareness that there even is a big issue for everyone, and not just some 0 5% of the population…

    Excellent shows thanks so much.
For what its worth "where are the feminists" questions in this episode on Tickle vs Giggle have clarified some things for me. I get a sense that we have two prongs to address. The first are middle age men who drive the legal and political agenda of the trans movement, and the second are the usually highly educated women who support and enable them. In our context we have Tickle and sex discrimination commissioner Anna Cody as perfect exemplars of these categories. I want to keep this comment short - but I've come to the view that men (like me) really need to take a stand here to address the former category - that is the Roxy Tickles of the world. NO preferred pronouns for these men and PUBLIC, CLEAR, OPEN opposition to any man attempting to access female sport, female spaces etc. Edit: I mean to add... It 'feels' hard, as a man, to take on an Anna Cody character. But we can definitely take on a Roxy Tickle character. The threats, intimidation, narcissistic rage etc etc that are the debate tactics of these men are pretty useless against other men. Anyways thanks again for this episode I found it really enlightening.

You raised an interesting point Edie that I hadn't considered, about not being able to establish a political party? We're fortunate that here in New Zealand, Jill Ovens was able to establish the Women’s Rights Party. It was her direct response after witnessing the violence meted out to women in Albert Park. We must all keep speaking and peaking and be there to pick each other up when it can all get too much. Solidarity ladies, from this side of the ditch. 💚🕊💜

The laws supporting sex deception must be dismantled. Federally and state by state. My greatest fear is that anybody involved with dismantling the laws will look to embed compromises and partial allowances leaving loopholes for select sex deceptors to hold onto their preferential treatments as they pretend to be the opposite sex.

Thanks gals!! Fabulous programme. Great information. Great scope. Male Pattern Violence is the tap root & a good thing to focus on, because using the terms "misogyny & patriarchy & toxic masculinity" is inflammatory & has lost meaning (mind you, I won't stop using those words.). MPV is descriptive & I think it has power. The expectation that women are altruistic & will fix up the mess, which we suffer from,, created by male pattern violence, is a mockery! Those guys making money from our pain are as bad as porn producers, in my opinion! They model male pattern violence - the mental & emotional kind. I find that being on these platforms is highly therapeutic - to hear the truth & speak the truth & feel the passion of other women is the essential foundation of feminism for me. I call it my Mental Health Care Plan! We all have different battlefronts - because there has never been more of them. Patriarchal structures are collapsing in a way that is HIGHLY VISIBLE - it gives me hope & a gut ache, not to mention the heart ache! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR WOMEN & GIRLS!

Great to have your commentary back! It is all about class ….and sex….I keep saying to my progressive acquaintances that nothing has improved on the ground for working class women since Orwell’s Wigan Pier - they don’t like hearing that. The law is still inaccessible, misogynistic and enables MPV plus the removal of any agency from women in vulnerable situations.
Political authoritarianism in the guise of left & right politics. It is systemic and impossible to fight individually as it’s 360 degree. No person with the power to change things in their day job has the moral fibre /competences to advocate for this- no one - all political grifters except some in House of Lords UK- none in Australia

For a movement that purports to be about "human rights" - why is it that the most vociferous opposition is coming from the most law abiding demographic of society - middle age working class women?

Gender identity can be demonstrated by a man stating 'I have the gender identity of a woman'. There is nothing more they have to do. And they can do it at any time. I have been schooled that blokes can be gender non-conforming when they claim their gender identity. So nothing needs to change about their appearance.

  • @sylviarogier1
    @sylviarogier1 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

So, let me get this straight... If the binary biological category of male and female is out and the binary identity category of cis and trans is in, surely this must have caused a "great disturbance in the Force" amongst the ever expanding population of NBs, as their identity category of being neither men nor women, neither cis nor trans, was suddenly stamped out. (I'm being sarcastic of course. But what else can one do in the face of absurdity?)
Also, the whole sweaty b@lls candle was possibly inspired from an old SNL sketch about a pastry chef named Schwedy who made special pastry balls for Christmas. So, maybe Roxie should go after SNL for damages, too. (Oops, sorry, more sarcasm. I just can't help myself!)

I know many might think it's just a small thing, and accuse me of being pedantic, but I think it's important to call this case Tickle vs Giggle and not the other way around - because it was the man, Roxy Tickle, who was the one who hounded Sall, and took her to court. So you might want to update this video's title and thumbail if you can. Thank you :-)
