Man that tenor solo, just outrageous tone. Zeb should be really proud
die solo is prachtig en niet "schandalig "waarschijnlijk een slechte vertaling
that opening lick to the tenor's second solo is absolutely heavenly, so inspiring
yes yes yesss
That tenor solo is just mind blowing that tone man that tone
Everyone knows that little smirk he does at about 2:14 means he was saying "oops didn't mean to do that" but really everyone did amazing on this song props to them
the unintended note worked really well though
“How many times did you watch this”
Me: Yes
Outstanding to the max. These young people play this music as if they were born to it. Loved the solos. Give the clarinet soloist a soprano saxophone. In no time, he'll be playing some of the greats with it. The tenor sax solo took me way back to high school. There's nothing like the sound of a tenor sax. This was a great performance, indeed.
why does he need a soprano to do that?
@@Josieeeeeeeeeee My comment, my choice. I simpy like the sound of a saxophone, sopranino - baritone better than I like the sound of a clarinet.
@@Josieeeeeeeeeee clarinet isn’t the most subtle instrument, he’s just saying if that dude had a soprano he’d sound great, even though he was already great here
@@HahnJamesI think he plays alto and tenor
He sounds amazing on clarinet but clarinet has its own places in certain songs and this one although was OUTSTANDING, it would prob sound better on soprano sax, but it sounds great either way.
It’s got that lay back kick yo feet on the counter type feel, amazing
and these guys didnt place??? judges are out of their minds
What a great tenor solo. And the clarinet interpretation, amazing. Greetings from Perú.
Hope the politics get better, keep swinging Peru
I’m going to macho picchu next month
Is internet readily available
This entire performance is one of my favourite things I’ve ever heard.
I got this on repeat ever since I first listened
i wish this was on spotify this is literally my favorite piece of all time and my favorite rendition of it
Reall, I'd literally listen to it every day if it was on Spotify
I absolutely love that clarinet solo
That tenor solo at the end is to die for!!!
Bro the sound from not just the tenor, but the rest of the ensemble is just absolutely superb. Crazy good.
Dang, the clarinet solo made a bone do the stank face.
This should have won like a grammy or something
It takes more talent for sure
@@lumen3ditsconsidering taylor swift won aoty yet again idk if talent is whats required 😂
@@dinobeanie1234 taylor swift has talent but not to the extent of professional musicians. taylor swift just does what is popular thats why she gets attention. jazz and classical music isn't as popular nowadays.
@@lumen3dits sounds like you agree with me
@@lumen3dits also taylor swift doesnt really have that much talent vocally and i dont think she makes her instrumentals

I aspire to be that dude on the tenor. I personally play tenor and he is the greatest player I’ve heard close to my age.
Wow. That saxophone player at the beginning sounds like he has one foot planted in the here and now and the other back in the 1930's. Superb.
That tenor soloist was really good! Nice ensemble work too.
Bro the tenor was good but that clarinet was absolutely heavenly
As a clarinet player I think the tenor solo was better just because clarinet doesnt sound as good with jazz
If the clarinet had a soprano i think it would be better though
@lumen3dits Dude listen to Buddy DeFranco. Top 3 best jazz clarinetists easy and inspired me to play Bebop on clarinet
Bro i was in the all state with a few of the people here this past year and they are just amazing players
That tenor is unbelievably good
Jeez. And perfectly built to the 3 minute limits that records often had in the 30s.
I love this type of jazz, it's pleasant and soothing
Talented performers! Proud parents in the audience!😊
if only squidward was this good at clarinet
2:25 that SLIDE
Bro is the man our girls tell us not to worry about
literally cannot stop watching
Excellent... is the only thing I can say.
That was amazing. What talented your musicians. 👏🏻❤
I can't stop listening to this :D
Fantastic, absolutely amazing

Totalmente fabuloso 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow
1:14 mans smile quickly flew away once he saw that girl 😭
lmao when you dont get the solo
@@mineboy1369wqe literally
that tenors tone is nuts omg
👏
1:47 the trombone's face on the left lol, if you see that face while listening to a song, know that it is fire
Is it possible to learn this power
"oh, Lady Be Good" (1936) Lester Young
That aint actually music, it’s pure tone
Wonderful ! I would really like to know which tenor sax is this one ? Selmer SBA ?
looks like one, I love the worn off finish look of it. Like it came out of a war🤝
i’m pretty sure it’s an ishimori sax
@@collinmccann2635 it is
Herschel played a Conn, probably mid twenties
@@collinmccann2635just came back to this vid and yup it’s an ishimori. I just got one a month ago and it’s such a great horn
What arrangement is this? Or is this the original?
Not gonna lie I kinda liked the Clarinet solo better
kid shaking his head at 1:08
Is that Lester young???
what mouthpiece uses the tenor sax

Lost all aura when I saw his finger nails
ofc the devil still forces these kids to wear their propaganda (piano etc)
You mean the mask?
Oh no, a face covering. How awful, I can’t believe anyone would ever do that to these poor kids.
grow up
If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.
