So the distinguishing factor to GameStop used systems is whether it’s pre owned or refurbished. Pre owned systems are ones that were tested in the store & are fine to sell. They will have minimal packaging, but should have still been cleaned at the time of trade in & if being sent for an online order should have had added packaging. Refurbished means for whatever reason something was wrong with the controller or system & it was sent to the GS factory in Texas to fix. That’s why it has more packaging by default, & also sadly why the outside of the system was treated with the Brillo pad or whatever they use there. I can tell you for a fact as a gamestop manager that the Xbox was shipped from a store that clearly does not give a damn about selling quality. However. The lack of packing is on fault of the company not supplying stores with packing materials for the box. That's why the refurbished consoles come with the packing because they were sent from the warehouse possibility to a store or directly to fulfill an order. In my own experience I actually see more refurbished systems returned to the store than my pre owned ones. I actually bought a refurbished switch lite from my store and I was immediately met with a blue screen. The nice thing is we have you covered for 30 days if a defective product does slip through to a customer. Mind you outside of 7 days it is only eligible for an exchange not a refund. Also as a side note that last product I have literally never seen in store. I do agree that the company's marketing is definitely too aggressive. I also think the company would lose the horrible reputation if they would give employees raises so we can be more selective on hiring. GAs start at 9.50 an hour in my areas and Assistant Managers make 12 and the base pay for a manager is 16. It's hard for me to keep employees and find quality ones if the pay is unlivable for keyholders.
The Mclassic helps fix issues with games like Xenoblade chronicles 2. Which had a weird smeary look when used on a TV. Games with strong cartoon line art like Among Us are not what its meant to be used on. But it helps a lot with games that are 3d and are down ports from what might have been on PS4 etc. You would need to do a whole episode on it. Where its usefulness ends is on the PS4 pro and beyond. But the base PS4 and base XBOX1 it helps clean up a lot of games that never got a pro graphics upgrade, it was great on bloodborne for example.
XB ONE was taken in as a trade-in store. I can tell you right now who ever took in that XBOX did NOT try to clean the console. That person needs to be reported and held responsible. The PS4 was from refurbished warehouse; they're the ones who repair and clean the console to be resold. The warehouse sand down the outer layer to clean off the scratches.
Honestly I still have no idea why Gamestop thinks that using sandpaper/rough scrubber to clean (more like creating a horrible scratched up mess) is a good idea

That afterglow controller has been my pro controller alt since it came out. Been using it for 2 almost 3 years now. I did have to kind of mod it just cause I didn’t like how the buttons were a bit stiff for me. So I slice parts of the membrane so it feels better for me. But other than that, they worked great. I actually just bought one again cause it was on sale and ready to be used when the one I’m using breaks. Eventually...
Splurge next time, try the 8BitDo Ultimate Bluetooth. Sure, it's 70 Freedom Eagles, but it's sooo good. And the boxes comes with added value, like a charging dock.
So I’ve had the Mclassic since it released, I can attest to it. It does work. Especially for older consoles, most preferably with the gamecube. And it does help with the switch since I have it running to my 55’inch 4k tv. But I have it running through an hdmi switch so I have it for my switch, Wii U, gamecube, and ps3.
Gamers know the refurbished scam always go new or pre owned got a pre owned ps4 from GameStop opened it up and it’s almost perfect condition it just depends who had it and if they took care of it I’m sure some a real dust bunnies are to be found and I will support this channel in ridding the world of them

I'm still waiting after almost 2 years (1 month from now) for the" conclusion to the finaly of the ultimate AMD build"
4:58, he looks like a little kid at a Birthday Party…
It’s a scam.
@Don't read profile photo Don't read my ass !!!
@Don't read profile photo ya almost got me there
It’s a good day where there’s a new Austin vid
Bro these guys are so good
When I first saw that this was a gamestop scam video, the FIRST thing I thought of was the current gen console bundles.
Gamestop is like every other franchise, there are good ones and bad ones, and the experiences range accordingly
Mod pack is sick for unmodded controllers lol, all types of mods for almost any game and you can buy it in stores
I’m crying 😂😭 0:00 bravo, lol I am laughing so hard.
That was legitimately the first time I've heard virtual surround sound just with my phone from the sirens. I literally thought there were police going down the road, which isn't new.
Mclassic has been around for awhile, surprised your just now reviewing it. It’s an awesome product for older consoles!
Congratulations 🎉🎉 you have been shortlisted among the Lucky winner's.
And plugged it wrong
Video suggestion
Austin gets scammed by his employees
A entire mystery tech video of stuff they are taking home. Maybe a few bad products Austin gets to take home. And finish with fake Pokémon cards he can take home.
I just love these Austin outfits

Scams? At GameStop? They would never
Tell me you're rich, with out telling you're rich.
Them:
I still on my Kinect V2 and use it as a windows hello camera for logging in with my face. If you were lucky enough to get one of those free adapters that made it work with the One S and X there is still life for it if you have a windows pc.
The Afterglow controller (8:56) actually doesn't get grody over time. My girlfriends had one for a while, and it still looks great!
The dust acts as free packaging foam!
Aw, the world has forgotten about the mcable. That's a shame.
Always entertaining 😂
They don't make the wheel 1 to 1 size because it's easier to deliver stronger force feedback with a small, low-torque motor if the wheel is smaller.
With my $15 employee discount, nothing is a scam there
I love you and I appreciate your help and I learned many things from you
That back button attachment is amazing. Don’t need a scuff, and you save big time. Wish they made one for PS5.
The real scam will be the return prices after they bring everything back!
Gamers know the refurbished scam always go new or pre owned got a pre owned ps4 from GameStop opened it up and it’s almost perfect condition it just depends who had it and if they took care of it I’m sure some a real dust bunnies are to be found and I will support this channel in ridding the world of them
I have that deep blue one s. Had it for multiple years. Love it. The best color scheme
GameStop more like ScamStop
GameStop bouta go outta business 🤣
Love your content Austin
I love you
A Mr clean magic eraser sponge will clean up the brillo pad scratches, or use a brill pad making long, straight scratches length-wise to get that stainless steel brushed look.

300$ for a fat ps4 is highway robbery
