25 July 2024 Fillets all day

This TH-cam channel is about me Sven Yrvind an 85 year and two months old dyslectic solo sailor building OCEANIC PHILOSOPHER a 5.7 meter long, 1.2 meter beam four masted lugger 6 square meter sail area, twin keeled, ocean going, high latitude cruiser. Often the 22 every month I do a resume of the project.

Just a thought- your plan is to maintain ballast with salt water as you consume the fresh water. Well, the thought is that over 12,000 miles your body may be manufacturing some urine….hmm, perhaps when you use your wheels at some remote outpost (and before the ice cream), you could hoist a sign on a sail to sell ‘liquid fertilizer’ to remote farmers.. this is sort of a joke, but the weight of urine vs salt water can’t be that different. Keep up your good work!

Maybe you and incorporate a rain water collection system through PVC pipe to replenish some of the empty bottle

What kind of batteries do you use? No need for ventilation or risk of leakage?

They are AGM.
They can be upside down for a short time.
