The man, that gave him a ride is my uncle. He is the wealthiest, but most humble person in town. He helps everyone, no matter the situation. He got 'good vibes' from Mr. Phillips and said this while he cleaned his shotgun. If you ever want to meet the nicest, but most intimidating person in the country, he is it. Glad you enjoyed your stay friend! Don't be a stranger!

I would be more than happy to take you up in my piper M350 and show you some scenery and good places to land and eat some lunch! Very happy you enjoyed your stay, friend. That dude embodies what most people think of rural Americans - nice, friendly people that are completely willing to help a complete stranger and absolutely loves his town. "If you have any problems or something', let me know. It's only 8 miles, it aint no big deal."
Lovely to see friendly compassion these days.

This is true compassion of the American midwest and a wonderful example of what one can expect coming out here. These fellas love their hometown and are always so excited and happy to help out a new comer.

WOW SOMEONE ACKNOWLEDGED US! I live in Alliance and let me tell you this place is tiny with very little to do. We have two dollar generals but no large stores like target or anything. If you need clothes or anything you're going to have to drive at least an hour in any direction to get somewhere that sells anything of good quality. The only touristy things weve got is carhenge and the central fountain which you couldnt see because of the snow but it's really nice. While it is small and theres not much to do what lots of people are saying is true - the community is fantastic. Everyone helps everyone and if you're ever down on your luck I know 100% for sure that there will be someone who will help

Yes a bit strange to us who know London as a big city but to him from small town middle America a totally plausible question considering he thought they lived in the same "town" & as Noel said the town of Alliance & people touched his heart:)

Western Kansas isn't exactly known for its vast forests. Mostly just wind breaks as a legacy from the dust bowl era. It doesn't take a lot of shelter for deer. The main headquarters of the Gaylord hotel chain is in Nashville. If you ever swing through I highly recommend staying there if you can. The inside truly is like going to another world. They have indoor gardens and everything you can walk through. Even for locals it's always a treat to just take a night off and book a room there. Also it's right next door to the historic grand ole Opry house for country music.
