Why does the 4.7 sound so much better, I don’t get it

He has the equal length headers. Really changes the tone. I’d love to do that but you have to drop the subframe to get those off and they’re fairly pricy as well. One day 🙏🏽

No we both have an xpipe. The 4.7 and 4.3 sound basically identical stock. This 4.7 has the equal length headers which makes is significantly higher pitched

@@alloutcars2872 The stock backbox on a 4.7 has a tiny bit smoother sound than the 4.3 backboxes, but as Kyle said pretty much identical stock. Some companies make a special x-pipe for the 4.7 that deletes the secondary cats and allows the cross section to be closer to the headers, which is not possible in the 4.3 because of the positioning of the cats, and the closer the cross section is to the headers the higher pitched it will sound. But that's not what's happening here, if you upgrade the headers on the 4.7 cars, as done here, you have to position the cats in the same way as the 4.3, so you have to use the same x-pipe as the 4.3. I believe they both have identical VelocityAP x-pipes, but the difference in pitch as Kyle mentioned is because of the equal length headers.
