Suleiman gets ill. The fight of the princes for the throne begins on the Magnificent Century. Hurrem tries her best to be able to heal Suleiman who has got worse. Hürrem who wants to get Selim to the throne and Rustem who supports Bayezid face off against each other. Rüstem makes a serious decision without Hürrem's information.
Meanwhile, Mustafa gets kept away from the capital. Suleiman gets up to be able to stop the rumors but he suddenly gets aggravated. Selim goes to the guild of janissaries to be able to menace but his life gets in danger. Hürrem kneels down before her enemy to be able to save her son.

Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.

Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. I know kosem became cruel but she suffered alot of pain. Hurrem was having at least support of Suleiman but kosem lost Ahmed at very young age so her only goal was to protect empire and sultan Ahmed sons

Hurrem only thought for herself and Suleiman but kosem thought for Ottoman empire do you know the reason why sultan Ahmed couldn't perform well in wars because economy of country was weak otherwise he had great soldier skills but Murad was able because before him there was a ruler kosem sultan who fixed the inner problems of ottoman empire and economy so when Murad started to look state affairs he had a great empire with strong economy

Yes, because he putted aside his real mother, then he exiled Daye Hatun, the loyal servant of Valide Sultana, who served also Syleiman. Syleiman was stupid and fortunately he didn't banish Afife Hatun, but he died old and alone, without anyone to stand right him, neither Ibrahim Pasha, Hatice, Mustafa, Cihangir, Beyazid, his sisters and family. But let Syleiman at his punishment, he deserved it whatever happened to him. He sacrifice both his family and himself to the crocodile tears of a woman.
P.S: As for Hurrem, she wasn't that much clever, because if she was, she would have done all her efforts and even more in order to enthrone Beyazid at least and not Selim. She didn't want Mustafa to take the throne, but she should do all the necessary things, even she should does even plots against Selim, in order to make sure that Beyazid would become the next Sultan.

@@DimSK. I understand that Hurrem doesn't go after the throne, but she should do this for Beyazid's future, because his death, would be only Selim's advantage. Hurrem didn't want to accept this, but this was the real situation between Beyazid and Selim, even from their childhood. A good mother always cares about her sons future, so if Hurrem really cared about Beyazid's future (because she had chosen Beyazid over Selim), she should respect his son and help him to take the throne, even using illegal things and plots, in ordrer to help her son succeed at his target and fulfill his dream to be the Sultan.
Mahidevran will never do this to Suleiman. This is why i like Hurrem she loves her husband

Mustafa also loved him and was always loyal towards him, but Syleiman decided to reward him by executing him. Why is this so strange only to me? Syleiman's 33-year-old reign made him arrogant and greed, made him deaf and blind, so he killed both saint Ibrahim Pasha and saint Prince Mustafa and Cihangir. He did all the things that he swore that he wouldn't never do them. He betrayed his mother Valide Ayse Hafsa Sultana and he broke his promise, which had been spoken from Syleiman's mouth. Syleiman that day swore something to Valide, that he will never kill anyone of his own blood and he will never let anyone else to do it, that he would never kill an innocent man and that this will remain forever, even for the next generations after Syleiman's death. But the lesson of what I saw is that never must trust a man who is so deaf and arrogant, which leads him to does things that he isn't able to understand what he really does, he never had the conscience of what he is doing. Mustafa maybe died once, but he will be live thousand times. Syleiman lived once, but he will die thousand times.

well obviously what they did was bad, very bad, but they didn't intend to kill Afife. They wanted to kill Hürrem, which is both understandable and bad at the same time. No one can just kill a Sultana

Hurrem should accept it, that no matter what she did, Selim would never be able to overpass Mustafa, because he wasn't good, he was evil, he was a drunkard, he was a pathetic Sultan, who even neglected the State matters and playing with his harem all the time, he had never had the respect of the army or the people and even if he became in the end the Sultan, the people had never been loyal or loved him anyway. So if Selim had the courage (because always acted like a woman), he should behead all the city, because only then the people and the army and all the world would have been loyal to him, but Selim was totally uncapable even to do something like that. What Hurrem did, she created an uprising and all the city (which was once upon a time at Hurrem's and at Syleiman's side) was against them. Serve them right, Hurrem, Rustem, Selim, Mihrimah, Nurbanu and Hurrem's supporters should fear now Prince Mustafa's supporters, because they underestimated them. Besides, Hurrem, Syleiman and Selim hadn't so much "power" in order to make the people of the city and the people all over the empire to love, respect and fear Selim the drunkard. What it means he became the Sultan? Selim never had been beloved, even when he was once upon a time Prince Selim, the beloved ones from the people were Mustafa, Cihangir and Beyazid.
P.S: No one can deal with the army, especially when the army had chosen the beloved Prince, that they chosen to be their next Sultan. Because Selim I Yavuz made the Jannisaries dethrone his father (which means that neither Selim I, nor Selim II the drunkard were beloved Princes and Sultans) and they had been obliged to obey him by fear. Fear doesn't mean respect. Mustafa had the protection and respect from the army, because he was a good Prince and so the army collaborated with him, even if Mustafa didn't rebel against his father. After all, Mustafa's execution, was Hurrem's, Rustem's, Mehmet Sokollu's and Mihrimah's plot against Mustafa. And as Hurrem always said to Saint Ibrahim Pasha: "Traitors never show their real faces". From this phrase, I understand that she was an hypocrite, because hypocrites don't reveal their real faces, because it is very difficult from someone to find out that his co-human is hypocrite. Only Mahidevran, Mustafa, Ibrahim and their supporters found about Hurrem's hypocrite character? Bravo to them and shame to Syleiman, he let a woman to control him and his own empire. Mustafa is traitor, mahidevran is traitor, Ibrahim is traitor, valide hafsa is traitor.. all of them are traitors. They messed with hurrem sultan and lost.

If she was clever enough, then why she didn't make sure, even with plots against Selim, in order to make sure that Beyazid and not Selim would take the throne? Wasn't Hurrem the one who chose Beyazid over Selim and she told him that she would protect him and she would be at his side? She wasn't quite clever, she should take all the measures and make plots against Selim (even if he was her son), for Beyazid's sake, for Beyazid's future. As for Ibrahim, Valide, Mahidevran and Mustafa, we don't know what really happened in real life, if they were traitors or not, we don't know how they done the betrayals and we don't know for sure. What about Rustem? Wasn't he a traitor? He betrayed Beyazid, by cooparating with Selim's army, making Beyazid's loyal men turn their back to him, even if Rustem had promised to Hurrem that he would be at Beyazid's side and protect Beyazid from the enemies, even from Selim and from Syleiman.

His not, he is embarrassed to be seen while weak, to be a sultan is to be strong.
This is how powerful men sometimes behave when they are sick or injured. They have this problem of not appearing vulnerable or weak, in any way. In this particular case, Sulyman has to maintain the stability of his government and the appearance of power and control. He had to be concerned about his enemies as well as his subjects who might unknowingly gossip about his health and/or his ability to government. The 16th century was a truly difficult time to be a monarch.
