Just tried the same thing. My sprocket is loose. The one piece has something it locks into. The 3 piece has nothing to hold the sprocket in place. Need a sprocket or an adapter?

You also need 9/16 pedals and can’t use 1/2 pedals that were on the one piece cranks 👍🏻
Yes you can get adapters. Also extend the pedals for taller Riders.

I have a pair of American bottom bracket cups, I've been wanting to replace the bearings in them.
Would that be 19 or 22mm?
That Is dependent on the spindle size your cranks need
Depends on your new crank spindle, not your bottom bracket type. You can do either... they need to match your new spindle though.

I’ve never been allowed to wear flip flops at any shop I’ve worked at. It’s hazardous.
I want to upgrade my old hoop d dirt eat for my son. Want to change the one piece crank for 3 piece crank change the pedals if needed. He wants sealed bearings like on skateboard trucks in crank forks and wheels.
So. Could you not freeze that shaft to make installing it WAY easier?

I think 3 peace is really good got one on my premium subway 2013 model with the og bearing n cranks only problem is pedal is stuck on one side n the bearings are good but makes a little noise no play tho not bad for around 9 year old bearings
