I feel like koby's power is justified since the man trained for years under garp and not only that, he trained extra and it really seemed from garp's reaction that he was surprised as if none of his students has done that before (maybe foreshadowing that he will go even beyond kuzan at some point)
I’m guessing because unlike Garp and Kuzan, Koby isn’t a genius. He’s basically the Rock Lee of One Piece. A pathetic weakling who doesn’t know how to give up and that drive made him into a respectable fighter with immense potential
@@NixLotus I would even say it is the opposite since it was stated in the previous chapter that those heros were not born with it, they earned it through effort. The thing that puts koby even above them is the fact that he realizes he has to put even more effort than anyone else no matter how much. That amount of will and determination is definitely conquerors material
@@NixLotushard disagree with the Rock Lee remark, kind of across the board. I don't find them similar & I'm not sure I'd endorse your characterizations of Rock Lee. _However,_ I do think one can say both are underestimated.
Whether it's Advanced Armament or Conqueror's Koby has finally shown his potential with this haki bloom feat. He's no Luffy that one punch was everything he had in one go but it shows his promise for the future as an Admiral and powerhouse of the next generation.
@mhmd4745 sanji having it doesn't make sense. I feel like people have forgotten what conquerors haki even is. Kingly ambition. Ambition for greatness. Sanji just wants to cook, keep his crew safe and see the all blue. He isn't a fighter by nature, which is what's so interesting about it. He got stronger to defend those his heart is open and loving to. Zoro, Luffy, Koby, Shanks, all have insane ambitions the requires intense will. It would make a lot of sense for koby
@@carlisborgonThank you. It doesn’t even make sense for Sanji to have it. It isn’t just about strength, Sanji is a powerhouse, but he is no king or conquerer.

After seeing how much Garp has done over the past few chapters, I think Garp is the strongest person in terms of raw power right now. And I hope this isn't the end of him.
I think Garp will live long enough to meet with Blackbeard and this is how we learn about Rocks and/or God Valley through a flashback or Puddings memory ability. After that he’s toast
lmao, he got defeated by aokiji... a sick old WB who couldn't even control haki any longer did better. BB should have showed up if Oda wanted Garp to lose.

Any one character in OP would lose if tons of other pretty powerful characters (individually weaker) ganged up on them, that's why people have crews.
This chapter had me gasping the entire way through, I loved seeing chubby Koby again and seeing how he progressed to be a mountain-shattering beast like Garp. I am praying Garp survives cause I know he is a beast like that. I also am so excited to finally get back to Egghead and see what craziness awaits us there. If these past few chapters are any indication of Egghead going forward then I think we can expect this arc to only get more insane. This is shaping up to be one of the best arcs of the series.
garp is going to be fine. the end of the chapter wasn't him dying, he was only captured. There's no way garp doesn't go out like whitebeard did. He's going to get a narration with his death
@@jacobslinalx89Koby escaped, so Garp is the perfect replacement. He's the hero of the marines! A perfect pawn in BB's scheme to get recognition, really. He is worth more alive than dead. But beyond that, I find it pretty suspicious if he got off screened like that. When they first started fighting, Garp showed he could easily break out of Kuzan's ice/avoid being frozen. But after their clash (where they talked with their fists?) Garp allows himself to be frozen? I think something is up and Kuzan is a double agent of some sort. No way he is just Blackbeard's lackey.
@1001011011010 he's definitely up to something, but it's just so unclear what his motives are. I still have him being stronger than BB, so it doesn't make sense he's just following him.
I like to think that one of the reasons why Garp has so much focus in training great marines is because he knows that with his son on the revolutionaries and grandson being a pirate, there's no way the marines don't fall instantly
We know from a previous chapter that Blackbeard wanted to use Koby to become a government recognized king. While Koby is great, I don't think the government would view him as quite that valuable. However, if Blackbeard had Garp, that would be a lot more valuable. That's why I don't think Garp is dead.
Garp is a D and defiant of the celestials, if Saint Jay Garcia is defeated by luffy on eggland I don't think IM or the Gorosei would give a crap about Garp, so Bkackbeard for once got it right, koby was the best target and if the Bkackbeard had capture all the swords member would be a cherry on top.
@@komiks42 I mean kuzan deadass told him that sword members can attack a Yonko without back up. Navy can’t attack us without admirals. And they’re gonna be like oh well yeah it was like 5 men and garp sorry boss, and kuzan can just explain it again he will be there
I’ve been calling myself “The World’s Biggest Koby Fan” since Marineford, this chapter was so rewarding I immediately texted all my buddies to make sure they read it so I could go crazy with me
It just hit me that since Egghead Island is the island of the future, what if Garp’s official justice is simply Future Justice to align with the theme of the future in the arc? Future Justice could be defined as the kind of justice that’s concerned about taking care of the future generation
I kinda teared up when Garp said that they all are future of marines. Last chapter when Grus asked him whether he is also, garp never answered him and we though he didnt hear Grus but he did and he is confirming the new gen is the future all together
I agree with you about the One Piece logic on working out 😂 they really tryna make us believe that if you punch a brick wall everyday till your hand bleeds that you’ll be able to punch a mountain off. Still a great chapter
19:29 My understanding of Sword was that they can at any time without any bureaucracy get yeeted out of the marines, but until the need to do so arrives they're still practically speaking normal marines, with a rank and all as per normal
this was a beautiful chapter - i felt so much emotion pouring through the pages - crazy. Amazing to see pay off for Koby's character and Garp's sacrifice showing his belief and his way of life T.T Beautiful
12:47 It actually would fit very easily into Williams epilogue when he dresses up as Trevor and infiltrates Marineford. I can imagine him going to the designated pub area of Marineford, sitting down for a drink, and Garp sits down next to him offering him a biscuit or something. Maybe they strike up a conversation where William (disguised as Trevor, mind you) mentions having a daughter (Doxie) who is just like himself, and Garp being hopeful she'll one day join the marines just like him. Little would Garp realise he's speaking to William - who now is a revolutionary - just like his own son Dragon. Not sure where a comment about old people would fit into this, but I thought it's a cool scene nonetheless.
This color spread is one of my favorites. And I love that you can tell that it’s not only the East Blue 5 but the East Blue 5 from Arlong Park. Maybe ever. This did not feel like a death for Garp. It felt like the setup for another Luffy rescue mission. But I'm going to predict this rescue will be successful because the rest of the Straw Hats will be there. And he won't be fighting against other Marines as we say in this chapter, they’re reticent to go against a Yonko.
Well if you see it this since Koby and Helmeppo are sword member and they essentially already signed there resignation to the navy to get in to the group they no longer get promotions so it means Koby could have alredy been a Rear Admiral too and Helmeppo a Commodore
It honestly makes so much more sense for the Blackbeard Pirates to keep Garp alive and use him as a bargaining chip for Blackbeard’s plan. Garp’s not dead! :D
Especially as this happens at the same time the world government is cracking egghead. I can easily see them becoming traitors in the eyes of the world government. Hell, they already attacked a Yonko on their own!
yeah.. you guys know that trick about stabbing something into someone that the knife or other thing that stabbed to the person is actually just 2 separated piece that pasted to front and the back of the person. That how i see it from the panel
Another nice detail of the 2 page spread is that the way Oda drew the background characters who are important is that he did so in a manner that pays omage to "We Are!" Similar poses, positioning and I think some even had a mono color scheme in the original opening. Wether intended or not, the callback/resemblance was beautiful.
I'm proud of how far our boy Koby has come. I guess his motto is gonna be Honest Justice? Suits him. The mentor death flags are a bit stronger this chapter, especially with that laughing at the end. I'm still gonna be in the "Garp lived" train for now though. Since Garp was missing in action, I'm gonna say he was captured and either some funky stuff with his shadow will go down or Kuzan will let him go free at a really, really key moment.
Dude, I can't even express how much I loved Koby this chapter. Training 100-200 times as hard! That's crazy. I also loved the teamwork between Koby, Grus and Helmeppo. I like them together and I hope we'll be seeing more of them soon.
I can’t remember the last time I was actually rooting for the marines In this story, the addition of SWORD has been so exciting, it’s like a parallel of the strawhats
Garp will either be held ransom or given to Cross Guild for his bounty after this. That second option could lead SWORD into another conflict with a pirate empire.
Buggy: Oh God. we are dead. there is no one that we have the guy who brought in my da... I mean my former captain, the Pirate King *casual middle finger to Mihawk and Crocodile* and the Marines, and we aren't hunted like rabid dogs. Mihawk! Can you refresh me on some techniques, because I'm not weaseling my way out of this one!
. That would be an interesting setup. Garp and Roger fought against each other (to the point of Roger seeing Garp as a member of his crew). So Buggy already knows Garp. And there is a good chance Garp remember him as a kid on Roger's crew.
I think another reason Garp puts so much faith in Koby, is because the kid is basically what Garp wanted Ace and Luffy to become: the future of the Navy. Koby has come a long way from the East Blue, and now he has finally shown his true potential. He shattered a giant stone fist, saved his comrades, the freed captives, and successfully evacuated Fullalead Island. Garp stayed behind to cover their escape, and is now injured, frozen, and presumably captured by the Blackbeard Pirates. But Garp made that sacrifice for the new generation of heroes. He won the battle, and literally had the final laugh. This mini- arc was basically a "reverse- Marineford"-if the rescue mission was actually successful.
Yesterday, I was reading a reddit thread talking about how TH-camrs are doing videos ASAP and prior to TCB's scan releases but seeing Tekking my absolute favourite OP youtuber wait with us to read the TCB scans what a chad.
Well something that Tekking didn’t noticed was that koby was probably using conqueror haki, cause in the chapter you can the the black Lightning coming out of the fist coated in armament
I don't know where so many One Piece fans get the idea that black lighning only comes from Conquerors... its like we don't have a whole decade's worth of manga chapter of Luffy causing black lightning from armament haki alone...
As someone who went through USMC Boot Camp years ago, there are indeed a lot of classes. A lot of military history, codes of conduct, formations and stuff like that. Then there are other classes for marksmanship, bushcraft, field hygiene and all that jazz. I’d say at least 4-6 hours a day were dedicated to some form of class. You have to give the body time to repair itself from all the physical training. You can’t punch battle ships all day everyday. As for the stress and following orders part. There was never really a specific class on it exactly, obedience was sort of just built into everything we did. It was a constant subtle training of your brain and impulses to do exactly what you were told, when you were told without asking questions.
@@justindeliwe8065nahhh. It’s simple. This was never shown. We saw Koby fight luffy after he apparently decided to do this training. No sign of this power… no bandages. Marineford. No sign. How exactly does he work 100-200 times harder than the average person?? And not be training at literally all times?? Koby has shown more progression than luffy after his brother died. Just because koby wanted to

Like you know ? I doubt he was ever stabbed like that cause if he was he would’ve died a long time ago specially that now he’s been stabbed twice unless people’s theory is correct about Aokiji actually saving Garp
I don't think Garp is going to die here, at least not yet. I think he will have a moment with Black Beard to explain about Rocks D. Xebec. BB clearly has a relationship with Rocks, and Garp knows what happened in the God Valley.
This Colby moment has got to be one the coolest, most bad ass moments ever. Not even we the readers figured Colby would be the one to stop the hand, and with a haki bloom to boot. I know it wasn't on my radar. So crazy.
As a mentor myself for my nephew seeing Garp believe in his students knowing they'll surpass him and create their own legends. I remember when my mentor said he awaited the day I surpassed him didn't understand him till I got my own protégé but Garp had it hit home for me. Not going to lie I cried this was a beautiful chapter as it's not a send off of garp but the solidification of brand new legends in the making.
Bringing up William like that was hilarious. And Garp was really cool this chapter. Also, that bit about needing permission to engange an emperor makes me think of a funny scenario wherein the real reason Ace wanted to attack Whitebeard was because he thought it was a right of conquest deal and that if he became an emperor it meant that Garp would finally be forced to leave him alone. Not that it would have worked considering this is Garp we are talking about.
Also as a fact we know one can recall their stored up strength in training and fights like Elizabello's king punch or Lao G recalling is strength from his youth , so Koby's overtraining can have a similar effect
Garp truly did a good job with his marines, Koby's punch was great build up, his progress truly is reflective on how real moments makes haki blossom ...
nobody noticed that Kuzan was in the lecture as well, he is standing with his back to us when the Intructor scolds Garp. Also Yamakaji was one of the 5 Vice- Admirals in Ennies Lobbie, not a Captain.
I was hoping for Prince Grus to throw all the debris he caught with his Clay Web at Pizarro’s face after Koby used Honesty Impact. That would’ve been cool.
Koby is definitely going to get a higher rank, maybe vice admiral after this. Intern he might get a higher Crossguild bounty, 1 or 2 crowns. Especially if big news Morgans get a hold of the information surrounding Koby’s “kidnapping”. The rescued Marines would say he gave himself up as a trade for hundreds of Marines. And the hundreds of slaves they rescued from FOL island, will sing his praises for the stunt he did with the mountain hand. Rocky port 2.0.
Hey Tekking, recently rewatched up until the beginning of Thriller Bark and thought of an interesting concept. What if CP9 succeeded in their mission and knew that Pluton was at Wano. How would the government plan their takeover of Kaido's domain, and what if he had allied with Big Mom? Or what if they built the knockoff Pluton and someone found the real Pluton. Would love to hear your thoughts!
They do not need to take Pluton in Wano. Cause they would had caught Franky also. He had thr Pluton blue print. They only need to make that and use Robin ability to read poneglyphs to prepare stuff that probably needed to complete the Pluton.
Seeing what Garp is capable of as well as Luffy too… it really makes me think Dragon is going to be crazy especially being garps son and being closer to his “Prime” in One Piece terms. Also once either of them (more so Luffy) find out what Aokiji did I imagine they fight them at the first chance they are on the same island.
Garp's shadow is DEFINITELY gonna get taken now and resurrect Rocks, the theory is coming true. Also, love how much this arc is themed around the Future, the Straw Hats being on Future Island and Garp's speech about the future of the Marines.
Boot camp is mostly training and learning your equipment hands on but every other day or around twice a week be prepared to spend all day in a classroom.
Mid video followup the specific training event for following your orders is called nick at night and they fire machine guns over your head and order you to run into no man's land
Garp's flashback about the old man and the baby is the choice Kuzan had to make. He let the young leave and let the old man (Garp) with the beast. Garp is happy as Kuzan made his choice.

@@Phyrrus Yeah but he was on the edge of it and when we saw Ohara post-buster call the edges did not look as bad, how nobody saw a frozen giant there and throw a rock at it to shatter it i do not know.
If Garp lived penguin01 would be pissed
saul being alive is so fucking retarded and ruined robin's backstory and slows that retarded hack oda should of ended shit piece years ago.
Garp was also stabbed twice
Garp’s teaching of the old man and baby coming back around at the end of the chapter was bitter sweet.
Rock Lee is a good comparison.
Except Coby has access to Haki while Lee can't use Cakra
It’s not for years just two years
Whether it's Advanced Armament or Conqueror's Koby has finally shown his potential with this haki bloom feat. He's no Luffy that one punch was everything he had in one go but it shows his promise for the future as an Admiral and powerhouse of the next generation.
If Koby had Conqueror’s haki but Sanji doesn’t I will assassinate Oda right now
@@Mohamad-m7mdi will personally stop u if thats the case cause Koby having it but Sanji missing it would be hilarious
I really don’t think so and if that happens I think oda is very stupid and complete idiot unless there is another time skip which I don’t think oda will use it
After seeing how much Garp has done over the past few chapters, I think Garp is the strongest person in terms of raw power right now.
@@kristianbasile7141he got defeated by half a yonko crew. Took on a whole island of pirates essentially by himself while in his 70s. And whitebeard died while garp is just laying there. I dont think he was really try to escape
@@kristianbasile7141 did you even read the freaking chapter? He's fighting half of BB's crew, Kuzan AND a whole island of pirates (basically) BY HIMSELF. WB had his whole extended crew and then some. He changed the face of hachinosu with no DF powers, while making sure everyone else escapes unharmed. Any one character in OP would lose if tons of other pretty powerful characters (individually weaker) ganged up on them, that's why people have crews.
Garp didnt do anything
This chapter had me gasping the entire way through, I loved seeing chubby Koby again and seeing how he progressed to be a mountain-shattering beast like Garp. I am praying Garp survives cause I know he is a beast like that. I also am so excited to finally get back to Egghead and see what craziness awaits us there. If these past few chapters are any indication of Egghead going forward then I think we can expect this arc to only get more insane. This is shaping up to be one of the best arcs of the series.
nah egghead looks retarded and why that inbred hack oda should of ended shit piece in 2002.
garp is going to be fine. the end of the chapter wasn't him dying, he was only captured.
I guess Luffy is going to rescue Garp from Blackbeard Pirates
I like to think that one of the reasons why Garp has so much focus in training great marines is because he knows that with his son on the revolutionaries and grandson being a pirate, there's no way the marines don't fall instantly
Because Luffy and Dragon knew how dangerous Marines are and can't be trust and plus they don't be Work for world government and celestial dragon

I’ve been calling myself “The World’s Biggest Koby Fan” since Marineford, this chapter was so rewarding I immediately texted all my buddies to make sure they read it so I could go crazy with me
koby Is my favorite Marine too
It just hit me that since Egghead Island is the island of the future, what if Garp’s official justice is simply Future Justice to align with the theme of the future in the arc? Future Justice could be defined as the kind of justice that’s concerned about taking care of the future generation
I want to say that Helmeppo is being the best bro to Koby, he should be named HELPmeppo from now on
I kinda teared up when Garp said that they all are future of marines. Last chapter when Grus asked him whether he is also, garp never answered him and we though he didnt hear Grus but he did and he is confirming the new gen is the future all together
justice will prevail FOR GRUS and it did
I wasn't sure how they were going to get out lf this one but clearly Garp trained Koby well in the art of fisting

Amazing to see pay off for Koby's character and Garp's sacrifice showing his belief and his way of life T.T Beautiful
yawn and gay keep that shit out of my pirate series.

It actually would fit very easily into Williams epilogue when he dresses up as Trevor and infiltrates Marineford.

I can easily see them becoming traitors in the eyes of the world government. Hell, they already attacked a Yonko on their own!
Koby has the making of a KING!

I already know which track they're gonna use 😭
Love how people were talking shut about Koby last week and he’s the hero this week.
My theory is that kuzan only sealed garps wound with the ice instead of stabbing him
I feel this could definitely be the case, he could even put Garp into cyro sleep in order not to kill him
@@michaelmccoy438 considering saul was still alive i believe this is very likely
I think kuzan froze garp without killing him just like he did with saul
Well i mean garp is laughing, and he's from the d clan, so he might die, idk how he could get out of there, maybe sengoku and otsuru
yeah.. you guys know that trick about stabbing something into someone that the knife or other thing that stabbed to the person is actually just 2 separated piece that pasted to front and the back of the person.
"Honest Justice" I like that
This is good
Dude, I can't even express how much I loved Koby this chapter.
You should be officially declared the most motivated youtuber, I love your unwavering energy
Chapter review at 1 in the morning? Yeah this gonna be a good one!
Most likely sent to Cross Guild. Which would set up Strawhats vs Cross Guild.

Koby stocks going through the roof with this one
Yeah whoever didn't believe in Koby was not a Koby fan anyway.
@@justindeliwe8065nahhh. It’s simple. This was never shown. We saw Koby fight luffy after he apparently decided to do this training. No sign of this power… no bandages.

How exactly does he work 100-200 times harder than the average person?? And not be training at literally all times??
Koby has shown more progression than luffy after his brother died. Just because koby wanted to

17:00 No Tekking, he was a Vice Admiral back then too.
Buster Calls are headed up by 5 Vice Admirals.
The Vice Admirals heading to Enies Lobby were Momonga, Onigumo, Strawberry, Doberman, and Yamakaji.
This chapter kinda gives more evidence that Garp and Sengoku are the ones that started SWORD, since most known SWORD members were in the same class.
I still want to know what Koby did with Moria. Since helping Moria was part of the deal Perona had Koby agree to in exchange for getting free himself.
If you think this is the first time Garp "The Fist" has been fisted, then you don't know Garp

I've been saying a lot how Garp and Koby remind me of All Might and Izuku recently. Glad Matt noticed it too. Absolutely loved this chapter!
Also as a fact we know one can recall their stored up strength in training and fights like Elizabello's king punch or Lao G recalling is strength from his youth , so Koby's overtraining can have a similar effect

nobody noticed that Kuzan was in the lecture as well, he is standing with his back to us when the Intructor scolds Garp. Also Yamakaji was one of the 5 Vice- Admirals in Ennies Lobbie, not a Captain.
omg I had to go and reread the chapter I totally missed Aokiji thanks

Thank you for the video! I always enjoy watching your videos! I always look forward to your chapter reviews!
Seeing what Garp is capable of as well as Luffy too… it really makes me think Dragon is going to be crazy especially being garps son and being closer to his “Prime” in One Piece terms.
