GAME SUMMARY
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Baldur's Gate III is a role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. It is the third main game in the Baldur's Gate series, which is based on the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing system. It offers both a single-player and cooperative multiplayer element. Players can create one or more characters and form a party along with computer-generated characters to explore the game's story. Optionally, players will be able to take one of their characters and team up online with other players to form a party. Unlike previous games in the Baldur's Gate series, Baldur's Gate III has turn-based combat, similar to Larian's earlier games Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II; but this time, it is based on the D&D 5th Edition rules.
In the year 1492 DR, over 120 years after the events of Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and months after the events of Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, the forces of darkness are rising again. The player character (named by the player) has been taken captive by the mind flayers, who have launched an invasion of Faerûn. They have implanted the protagonist, as well as a host of other creatures, with illithid tadpoles, parasites capable of enthralling and transforming them into other mind flayers; however, before the mind flayers can transform their victims, the nautiloid flying ship upon which they are all aboard comes under attack from githyanki warriors and their red dragons, and flees through multiple realms, including Avernus, the first of the Nine Hells. The protagonist is freed during the fighting and steers the damaged ship back to Faerûn, where it crashes. As the protagonist searches for a way to remove their parasites, they encounter other survivors of the wreck: the human wizard Gale, the half-elf cleric Shadowheart, the high elf vampire rogue Astarion, the human warlock Wyll, and the githyanki fighter Lae'zel.

Thank you!!! I’ve been dying for a build like this!!!
No problem!! Harness the sky ⚔
I actually had a build with Storm Sorcerer and Lore Bard, with the idea of Tav being an up and coming Rockstar haha
That’s badass I love it ⚔️
@@PurgeEvilTV naturally, it makes too much sense if you use Reverberation gear.
I went 9 storm sorc 2 temp cleric 1 wizard. Dual wield is pretty fun with it cause i can bonus action melee with a lightning/thunder weapon to add more reverb xD dual wielding the staff and trident from act 3 give some oretty versitile dmg.
Using the original baldur's gate soundtrack was a nice touch
Thank you! Secretly it's subliminal messaging for the younger viewers, gotta make it feel familiar when they try booting up the original game 😂⚔
@@PurgeEvilTV To this day I still haven't met a person my age who's played the original saga, except for my dad and the people I introduced it to, but who knows maybe that has changed
I'm doing the spore paladin build from this channel currently. I'm thinking to use this tempest cleric build for Shadowheart!
Go for it!! Thats sicc ⚔️
@@PurgeEvilTV also I’m definitely using the Armor of Agathys build for Lae’zel!
@@mikeshamoun3720 ready for honour mode!! ⚔️
I’ve had way more fun (and maybe more powerful?) with a 1 wiz, 1 storm sorc, rest tempest build.
I’m in early act 2 but have access to lightning bolt, call lightning, several heals, the haste spell, conjure minor elemental (2 ice mephets because their ice does double damage to my wet foes) and shovel.
So much choice and variety while being really powerful.
Im new to bg3 does background matter and if it does is acolyte a good pick for this build
Yes take acolyte
Magic missile is a godsend for fights like The Hag and her duplicates.
An absolute must-have for the entire game
@@PurgeEvilTV I never understood how to get full value out of that spell outside of the gimmick fights where you need to destroy illusions? What else is it great for?
@@jakeryan2805upcasting it just guarantees free damage. Plus it does force damage which is rarely (if ever) resisted
been using in honor mode been a blast
Hell yeah appreciate you!! ⚔️
Imagine having the name Dart Dirtwood.
Nice build! Would be cool to see a .hack sign character build I haven’t seen anything like that yet
Added to the list!!
I can die happy now 🎉
It’s been such a long time coming ⚔️ I saw a comment of yours from TWO MONTHS AGO about it earlier today 😭
when you multiclass into cleric does the diety choice make big difference. gameplay wise. I know certain choices gives out special dialog.
it makes little-to-no difference gameplay wise, it's all roleplay
Cool that you can multi class ,but taking storm cleric all the way to level 12 is probably better because you lose wayyyy too much HP and your character starts to become brittle to become a sorcerer.
How did you get the Spellsparkler and and the Sparky Points?
Spawned for showcase
Have u thought about the skill point layout if u do acquire the hags hair i was thinking putting the hags hair on wisdom and putting con and cha on 15 both then upgrading them
@@ianb5053 that’s a good idea I think
@@PurgeEvilTV i put the inititve to 10 to get this ill just use items to get my intitive rolls since i go last most the time anyways so ill have after using the ab improvment twice ill have 20 wis, 16 con, and 16 wis
Like for the Music
Im confused. Im seeing mixed information as to what class to go first. People day sorcercer level 1, and then others say cleric first because you want your spells to scale off charisma modifier when you take sorc skills later.
Assuming you're doing 6 levels in each, here are the differences (both are proficient with Charisma saves, so no differences there):
Sorcerer first: Proficiency in Constitution saves. After you take your first Cleric level, magic items and scrolls will scale off of Wisdom.
Cleric first: Proficiency in Wisdom saves. After you take your first Sorcerer level, magic items and scrolls will scale off Charisma.
Generally, people like going Sorcerer first because it makes it easier to maintain Concentration. Spells scale off of whichever class you got them from.
@@snakeman830 Thanks for this comment! Pretty much what snakeman said. The coding is weird in that way. I also believe the Cleric spells, especially while leveling, to be way more useful and aside from other reasons (there's quite a few tbh), that's why I focused on Wisdom
@@snakeman830 thank you!
I went cleric first and low wisdom high charisma because I wanted to go with higher damage and better conversation skills. You lose proficiency in con saves which is a bummer but your sorcerer spells like lightning bolt, chromatic orb, and ray of frost will actually hit things.
Sorcerer first and high wisdom is better for a defensive playstyle.
Why does watching this on 1.25 speed sound normal? Did you slow it down purposely?
No I just talk slow as shit
Wrath of the Storm has been broken for me for ages. Never gotten a single proc
Same idk why it isn't bc the character is in melee :(
Man I would love to buy and play BG3 but I saw that there is no scythes in game
)’:
am I missing something or doesnt Storm Sorcerer get Call Lightning for free at level 6? maybe you really want that second Channel Divinity so sure why not but why put a whole 6 levels in Cleric to make Wisdom your main spellcasting ability when you could just do Charisma and have lightning bolt he strong too
Various reasons especially the channel divinity charge, but you wouldn’t be wrong for trying to focus on the sorcerer side. I however feel it’s better to focus on cleric considering clerics spells, the period in the game you’d be at when leveling, even into the late game I feel it’s more beneficial, too many reasons to try to lay out here. Also the coding of multiclassing taking the second classes main stat as priority is a big reason, and there’s no getting around that since we’d always want to start as sorcerer
@@PurgeEvilTV fair enough
I played it reversed, more focus on sorcerer, less on cleric on my durge. Lightning is still great
nice! no wrong way about it!! ⚔
No Markoheshkir? Good build, but not including this staff surprised me.
Yeah I’ve got it on the written version, don’t remember why I didn’t include it in the video, maybe was just overkill
Also thank you ⚔️
Witch Bolt is the worst spell in Pen and Paper dnd, its pretty alright in Bg3. In pen and paper, there is no built in wet condition or auto crit to turn the upcasted 10d12 into some absolute nightmare numbers. In pen and paper it has no real use, even True Strike has *a single use case.*
Tempest cleric is cool, but I love chain lightning too much to not go full sorc
Scrolls bruh. What else you gonna spend all that money on?
@@tomdowney37215 how else can i dump like 60k on the soup girl before i go into the final fight.
@@Twilight5007 now I'm curious? Who/what is the soup girl?
@@tomdowney37215 the girl who joins your camp with her cat In act 3. She can get taken by the baal lady though so she might have been killed off for you. If she doesn't die and you let her stay she just sells soup in your camp
Yes it is crazy. Yes it is OP ...and yes it is annoying and means you have to make all your enemies wet before you do anything so is action inneficient. I just do not like this playstyle
What build do you want to see next
Is it really action inefficient if the first action is doubling the dmg of the second? sorc can also quicken cast creat water, or have an ally throw a water bottle leaving them with their second attack.
I'm going to be 100% honest I did this build and never made anybody wet and it's still pretty decent so you don't have to spend the time making them wet for the extra damage and you're still pretty strong you just don't get that op classification
Use quickened spell to wet enemies.
Or haste
Where markoheshkir
In the written version. I didn’t bother with it for the video, just a bit overkill imo haha. But markoheshkir, iykyk
Honestly i feel like cleric is stronger than paladin even for mele with thier wanna be smites lol
Haha I’ve been saying for the longest time cleric is the best class in the game
