- I have been meaning to do this video for SO long it's not even funny! I wanted to try to make this as easy and simple to understand as possible, many new owners have asked me about this and it's just easier to show you in a video. How to change/set/adjust your shift lights and clock on a gsxr600, gsxr750, and gsxr1000. Thanks for watching! =)

You left out a step brother. You can select if you want the shift indicator light for solid or flashing. After you first step press the adjust button for solid or flashing 🤙 thx for the video.
Hey if you want the shift light to flash when that menu first comes up press the top button and it’ll change it from solid to flashing.

Yeah for some reason they don’t come setup from the factory, I noticed the same on mine and my wife’s GSXR750

I have a 2015 gsxr600 and I don't even have a clock so I tried the shift light set up and it doesn't work 🤷♂️
Holy crap! I've had my 2016 600 since 2020. Just over 3 years. No idea it had shift lights🤯. Thought they were only on 750 & 1k
First time riding a GSXR 750 what should I set it at?
I set mine to 1,000 RPM increments and flashing 1,000RPM below redline
I have a 2009 Gsxr 1000 I just bought and it did t come with a manual since no used bikes ever do ... I tried exactly what you did and my yellow lights never flashed
Amazing! Never knew this- it seems you can have the white light come on as a solid white light or flashing as an option too! So many little things I’m finding out about this bike, absolutely love it! Thankyou 🙏🏻
I've got a gsxr600 2015
Might be something wrong with my bike. Can't set the shift light. Hold the setect button down and turn key on but doesn't flash
Try using the selector if it was never turned on or the battery was dc it will not show a light until you hit the select once for a solid light and twice for a flashing light.
ay man, I’ve done all of these steps. but when the bike is running and i hit the desire RPM, it doesn’t light up. Any idea why or how?

I believe it means that your shift light indicator is on if I'm not mistaken
My 13 has option to set it to flash fast or just come on. I set it to flash bc I can see it flashing in my peripheral vision

whats the benefit of using the shift indicators?
Mostly for track use, you’ll see it light up and know you’re nearing the rev limiter. On the street it’s not really beneficial

When I hold select and turn the key on nothing happens?
Anybody nows why?
Hold the select button and turn the key wait for 2 sec then release the select button and press once on the adjust button

SALTxTHExWOUND at how many rpm should I set mine
Project HTH it’s totally up to you, it’s personal preference really. You bike will still bounce off the rev limiter (14k) even if you set it at the lowest shift light (7k) it’s only a visual reminder. I’m not a huge fan of redlining my bike so I keep it just below redline so I know if I hit that shift light I’m almost out of RPM’s 👍🏻

I just joined the ownership of a L1 Gixxer 600, without a user manual.
It's interesting that I also own a Subaru WRX STI from the same era.
A lot of the design are quite similar, like how the tachometer is laid out that is slightly tilted and the power band is right in the center top, and how to set the shifting indicator light.
Both vehicles also have the front indicators mounted on the mirrors.

It will work on all 750 and 600’s from 2011 and up. Just make sure you do the process correctly 👍🏻
@@SALTxTHExWOUND your video was accurate besides if you haven’t already done it those lights won’t stay blinking after holding the setting button you have to look at those little zeros then set it

Does anyone know if the K5 and newer speedo will fit the K4 model? Are the pins the same?!
Pretty sure the K5 speedo will kit a K4. They are nearly identical.
Had my 750 for a week now and just yesterday I figured out it had a clock 😂 honestly thanks for saving me a ton of time and frustration!

Why do gsxr bikes don’t come with abs, quick shifter, slipper clutch and traction control? I am looking into buying a new 2020 600 gsxr but the 2020 ZX6R has all this components for less the price. Is the gsxr still a better bike and worth paying more than the ZX6R?
You can have all that on a Gsx-R from the factory
It only comes with the slipper clutch.
I am here not for criticize but only to mention that there are plenty of those videos for GSX-R600, GSX650F, and all this Suzuki family. They all are functioning the same or almost the same. Waste of time ;-) But for those who are lazy in searching web excellent :D
