This was impressive to watch. Having your blades (graders) behind the first snow blower to bring in the windrows was a great move. You can tell there is some amazing teamwork with this group.
Great job it's called team work you should be amazed and proud love and appreciate you guys thanks job well done like the system very well organized ! Joe
Great! Yesterday I was talking with a friend living in Montreal and she just explained me the process of snow removal and recommended me to see videos in Google. Good job👏
Montreal gets lots of snow. They have under ground shopping. Yummy pastries. The shop wndows covered with ice with the center cleared to look in. We skiid Mt Tremblant in 11f temperatures. Beautiful city.
What is the use of the girl in red and yellow uniform walking in front of the snowblower? We can see her very well at 14:09 as she walks toward the second snowblower.
For those wondering where the snow goes ot goes in mutiple place ex: verdun has a dump saint michel has a quarry ( a old one) and the let it melt hope that help yall that didnt know also the used too dump in the saint Laurence river
How big a snowfall is needed to trigger this process city-wide, and how long does it take to clear the entire city of Montreal proper? I was a kid growing up in Pointe Claire, and this was always a highlight of the winter for me, watching the big dual-auger snowblower come down our street--usually at 3 in the morning on a school day!
Pretty often, every snowfall of 5cm+ I'd say. Because they cannot let too much snow to add up otherwise with the cold and snowing getting compacted everything turn into ice. As an exemple about 4 years ago, they decided not to remove the snow after a snow fall of 5-10cm because the meteo was indicating warm weather for the next days. Well they were wrong, the snow in the street never had the chance to fully melt and everything turned into ice and they lost control. 3 Weeks later the ice in some street were as thick as the sidewalk lol A good 6-8 inches.
Well considering the insane amount of power electric motors are capable of I don’t see how it would be an issue. It’s not like they are going to mount a plow on a Tesla dude…
All through history there has been resistance to change. Doesn't matter if was water power to steam power, sail power to steam, steam to internal combustion, etc. There will be growing pains but we will make it. Eliminating Elon Musk from the equation would be the best thing for the advancement of EV technology
Make me think about living in Puerto Vallarta Seeing doing this every time snow. Which almost every other day up there. Expensive tax for citizens to keep everything running. Nice video!!!
You I just spotted this channel and decided to take a look to see if it was the only video. It's no. It has videos from the last few weeks. I keep asking myself why TH-cam doesn't show current videos of ANYTHING. Is it because of the views it's got at 526K?
i wouldnt walk in front of pauling machine on moment operator doesnt pay attention your in his deathsight and your history, tip of me always walk next to it in sight of driver so driver can always see you
The annual cost for snow removal exceeds C$170 million, representing 3% of the city's entire budget in 2021. Several snow removal companies have been blacklisted by the city for overcharging for their services, the greedy companies are idiots this is some of the safest money out there it will snow every year in Montreal that's for sure
The engine would likely need to be twice as powerful if not more, making them heavier, use more fuel, and require a bigger wheel loader to operate. At one point you just achieve diminishing returns.
Mandatory safety. The snow blower driver stops moving if he doesn’t see the walker or if the walker signal to stop. Because he can’t see the front of the snow blower. Also the walker will spot large rocks.
Looks like *blondie* the safety inspector rarely looks back. Most of them don't do their job properly. At least she wasn't 3 blocks ahead as I usually see! We should crack down on the vagabonds who don't do their safety job right!
These men and women should be so proud of the job they do to keep the public safe and keep traffic moving...! 💯%👍 God bless. 🙏

These guys and gals have this down to an art, as in the City of Ottawa...its perfectly choreographed using any and all the equipment they have.

Well Done
It's medium well. Well done if there is 0 snow left lol
These are awesome videos! But where do they take all that snow? I’d love to see a video on where they take it!!!
They take it to an abandoned quarry.
th-cam.com/video/bQujcjTZEG8/w-d-xo.html
the dumpster
there's a long vid on that too...about 2 hrs...they dump the snow in a giant pit, I presume at the edge or outside the city.

they can use that system in buffalo after what we got the last few days
They need to learn how to worki like this in Boston.
We need this process in NYC NY! Where do they dump all that snow? For us in NYC, it goes in the Hudson and East River.
We have about 15-20 dumpsites that ressembles parking lots in Montreal, just for that purpose. By July-August everything has melted
Would be nice if this could happen in Edmonton...
DAMN 4 wheelers in the way 🤔
10:45 angle the snowblower a little higher and the Smart car is a memory :)

Can you imagine doing this in future when disel is banned and you only have electric vehicles?
Well considering the insane amount of power electric motors are capable of I don’t see how it would be an issue. It’s not like they are going to mount a plow on a Tesla dude…

When they turn these into electric vehicles how long will we need to wait until they are all charged up to clear the streets?
They'll do your neighborhood last.
They'll never run. Batteries hate the cold.
They'll just plug in a diesel generator on a trailer.
You climate crazies have gone nuts.
3 years , with solar panels. 6 years with wind. At one point, i guess they will bring back the horses.
I would guess, the small plow is even electric!
