@WarhammerQuest ah man, a reply from the esteemed LittleMonk. I hope everyone who sees this comment knows that I think you're legendary. Your work and contributions to the community of this game have given me and my friends hundreds of hours of enjoyment, and I rate your material so highly.
It really is - I think its so fantastic. I really wish they would do a re-release. The Warhammer World is a big draw for me to be honest. So grimy and exciting.
I'd really dig them out - my copy of the roleplay book has since fallen to pieces and is left in a ringbinder. I wish they'd do a limited re-release of this like they do with Space Hulk every few years. I'd by 10. I really sincerely love this game, much to the irritation of my friends and family.
Probably a gridded dry mat, some blank tokens and then just printing the books which are pretty easy to find online. I do this when testing out new player-made expansions before committing the hobby time to crafting them. The subreddit for Warhammer Quest has pretty good community support for helping people scratch build copies - how to make or where to buy copies of the tiles, and card decks for example.
The thing is, is that you have to accept the faceless nature of the game doing the deciding. Occasionally it'll throw something really left-field at you ans you have to sort of accept it. It would never replace GMing games for me, but man, I do enjoy breaking it out and not having to think too much.
@hugoyoghur2609 exactly that. There are rules in the role-playing book for Warhammer Quest to play with a GM and I have on occasion had a bunch of mates turn up and we'd done some questing with me in the GM seat. It's really a fantastically bottled experience that no one else seems capable of replicating.
Agreed! Best dungeon game of all-time!

Bought my copy when it was released and still own it. It's a blast to play.

The best thing about this video is the direct impression of the Bard. I hope he gets royalties from this
Ah man, I think one can't talk about Games Workshop without slipping naturally into his timbre. I much prefer Warhammer Quest to Heroquest though
@GazzaMitchell-gz3df I have the books still and I think I'll revisit them lol (models and game tiles are long since lost)

What's the easiest way for someone new to play?

Littlemonk!
How does it compare with GM having TTRPGs like DCC/ OSE , etc ?

@@GazzaMitchell-gz3df Right, so it's your favourite GM-less game, but TTRPGs with GMs you prefer overall?

How can I re-buy? Misplaced mine from 1997... Smh..
I got mine on ebay, in 2015. If I remember correctly, I think I paid about 70 quid at the time. It containes most but not all the minis :)
