Hey Jon. Secret tip. Try adding a bait band on your hook. It makes it easier for the fish to suck up your hook. It works. Done it many times. Also works with method feeder. You don't need to put bait on the hook when using a method feeder. Just a bait band.
We only filmed it a couple of weeks ago in lovely weather. They take time to edit and unfortunately the weather suddenly turned. That said it takes a while for the water temperature to drop so there should still be a lot of venues still responding to paste for a few weeks yet. Hopefully there’s still plenty to take away from it for next time you do fish paste.
Great video, lots of good info, thanks mate. That's my kind of venue, carp, bream and tench...beats straight carp fishing for me at least. Never did any paste fishing when I lived in the UK but the other day I tried liquidized bread with a digestive biscuits mixed in as a binder but it dissolved pretty quick. I fed hemp and liquidized bread. The rig wasn't right at all but now I know, ordered some paste floats. i lost every fish I hooked, couldn't figure out why until a cast out a big bomb with a huge hook, not quite a Jon Arthur stick but more of a sunken tree branch! The fish and game warden I'm friendly with had a good laugh but his horse wasn't too impressed.
Very addictive method when I was match fishing a few years ago I was paste mad but now I’m 80years old not fishing but really enjoyed the video took me back thank you Jon
Great video Jon I love my paste fishing. Your advice regarding rig set up & bite detection great for those wanting to give it a try 👍🏻 Good to see you back
Good Video Jon. I fish a particular venue where the lakes contain a large head of silvers (mainly Roach, Gudgeon and Skimmers and found that a slightly stiffer piece of paste works best as it resists the attacks of the silvers.. Some good tips. cheers
Great video Jon and as previously mentioned, its not a full on marketing video, its a pure paste fishing tutorial, couple of questions please. Would you start off with a ball og groundbait to attract fish in to your peg, or start off on a pellet attack then swop over to paste Love your videos, nice and well explained and easy to watch and take information in Mark
Maybe the quality settings you watched it in were low, sometimes TH-cam automatically set it lower for smoother playback but it’s uploaded in high resolution 1440p and looks very clear when we watch it through TH-cam.
This is how you promote your products without jamming it down our throat. Nice work, Matrix and Jon..

Mark
great video
When you paste fish, do you fish off the bottom?
Thanks Jon and co. Do you ever fish a banded hard pellet inside your paste hookbait for two bites at the cherry, as it were?
Nice one Jon, love Paste fishing, Thank you Matrix,
Just in time for winter ?
Best paste video I’ve seen thank you. Some add gluten, is that necessary?
Would you still fish paste in October Jon?
Why all the moaning? Paste will still work now or simply use the information for next summer!
Tune in next May when Matrix show you how to put up your Christmas tree. 😆
Clown 🤡
Why is the video quality grainy on the water and zoomed out? Its almost like its been filmed on a fujifilm 8mp camera.
